So I just went into Jacks Urban Eats Natomas and had the absolute worst customer service from Malinda, jade, & Angelica… Than when I brought it to Jades attention, the matter got worse. Instead of a apology she have the nerve to say thank you with her smart rude. Non-helpful ass. Insult to injury they over charged me… I ordered chicken an was charged for steak!!! It took me everything I had to walk out without reaching over the counter. I WILLNEVERSTEPFOOTBACKINTHATPLACE… It just became a over priced place for horrible customer service and the food is not ever all that!!! The owner used to be in there and it was good food an great service, I have went for years. In the past couple years it has progressively got worse I even got raw chicken from there once.

Went to this Jack’s recently and was disappointed with my takeout order. Granted, it was end of the day(closing time ~8pm) but still. The classic tri-tip sandwich did not have as much meat as I expected, and it was medium rare. The steak salad also was lacking in meat. The side of urban fries portion was so small compared to what I remember. For $ 24 total, I was left wanting more. I’ll stick to Jack’s in Davis, Midtown, Fair Oaks, or Elk Grove for my fix.

However, to my dissapointment, the same thing. DRYMEATTHATALSOTASTEDSTALEOROLD… Idk BUT I really love this place Just really wish the meat would be juicey and fresh like it once was. Also, The cooks started cutting the meat in thin strips instead of Chunks PERUSUAL

I wished the place opened up earlier, but I come here when I am short on time and want to eat something semi-healthy. The layout of the place is very casual and hipsterish. It’s basically like a cafeteria where you wait in line to order, pay for your food, and then find a place to sit down and eat if you plan on dining there. You will get your food brought to the table when it is ready. If you are having problems finding a place to sit, remember that there is always outside seating as well. My only complaint about the layout of the place is that the line can get kind of confusing. There is a single line yet if you don’t want a salad, you supposedly get out of line, bypass that and move on up ahead of the line to get to the station you do want to order from. At least that’s what I think you’re supposed to do. I always see customers getting confused and kind of wandering around in line. This is not only pertaining to this specific location though. All of the Jack’s are like that. As far as the food goes, if you’re a salad lover like I am, you will love Jack’s. I love their salads and my go to salad is always the steak salad which I highly recommend. It comes with grilled tri-tip, mixed greens, crumbled blue cheese, sun-dried cranberries, rosemary croutons, red onion, and house made balsamic vinaigrette. Obviously if you don’t eat meat or don’t like a certain thing, just let them know and they can customize the salad to your liking. The salads are made as soon as you order it and it is a pretty good portion. The Jack’s Classic sandwich is pretty tasty as well. You can choose the type of meat that you want in the sandwich chargrilled tri tip, oven-roasted turkey, or chargrilled chicken breast. The sandwich comes with caramelized onions, leaf lettuce, tomato, mayo, honey mustard, on a fresh-baked sourdough roll. I usually hate fries, but their urban fries are pretty decent. It comes with a spicy chili oil, blue cheese, and chili flakes which gives the fries an extra kick. I have enjoyed all of their foods except for maybe the mac & cheese side. It tastes very bland with no flavor, and the«cheese» is very watery. I am assuming that it is supposed to be a cheese sauce, but that one is a huge fail in my book. The prices of the food is a little more on the high side, but it’s not so expensive that it’s not affordable. Other than that, I come to this Jack’s pretty often and I have not once received bad service. Everyone is really friendly and try their best to get your food to you as fast as they can.

Ok selection for salads, but the meat that has been on the grill for who knows how long, that is reheated on the grill to order, proved to be yucky and dry when we got our turkey with our dinner. And why a selection of a dozen beers, including Coors light; but not the number one selling beer in America??? Bring in bud light, and I might visit again.(For a salad, that is)

I haven’t been here in so long. I came here for lunch and got a Cesar salad and a side of urban fries. So good! The salad was so fresh and so delish. And the urban fries… I don’t normally eat blue cheese, but it’s so good with the chili oil and chili flakes. They get really busy during lunch hour. I’d suggest coming a little earlier before the lunch rush.

So here’s the thing. I love Jack’s and this is my go to location but recently we’ve been noticing a few flaws. Let’s start with the good. This location is conveniently located close to home, they have plenty of parking, the lines are never too long and service is always great! Hands down they have the best salads in town, ingredients are always fresh and I love their vinaigrette dressing. If i’m not building my own custom salad with vinaigrette I’m usually having the Chicken Caesar or Tri Tip Salad. The salad portions are perfect and even the small can be pretty filling. Now if you’ve ever had Jack’s Urban fries you’d know that they are awesome. They are crispy fries covered in spicy chili oil, melted blue cheese and chili flakes. Sounds spicy but I promise they are not. So the last two times I’ve visited I noticed the portion size for fries has gotten significantly smaller. Sad. I mean… for $ 3.75 you get double or triple the portion size anywhere else. What happened? It’s not like potatoes are expensive! Sigh… despite the smaller portion sizes I’ve been ordering the Urban Fries ever now and then but it hurts… Also the last time we visited my husband ordered the Cuban. We usually do the tri-tip or chicken sandwich but decided to try something new. Unfortunately the Cuban was extremely dry! The sauce it was served with was good and helped get things down a little easier but the pork was just way to dry on its own. Maybe it was a bad pork day but next time I think we’ll stick with the tri-tip or steak. Despite the two issues above there is no doubt I’ll be returning to Jack’s. After all their salads are the best and I just can’t say no to Urban Fries. Hopefully this location can make some adjustments for the better.

One star because Jack’s is generally amazing! The second star is because the food has actually been okay The customer service at this location is the worst I’ve had in any Jacks in the Sacramento area. From Folsom to Elk Grove to the location in Loehmann’s Plaza, I have come to expect decent service from Jack’s. This location is the exception. I lived near this location and recently went to it again during lunch time on a weekend. I have consistently received eye rolls when asking for things like«no onion» or «mix of lettuce’s». I understand hat Jack’s is a quick casual place and don’t expect exceptional service, but polite staff is not too much to ask for. Lots of potential here, but this location is constantly failing in my book.

Oh Jack’s, you haunt me so! I love the fact that even though the line may be out the door sometimes, you keep the line moving quickly. The taste of the food is pretty consistent, and who doesn’t love Urban Fries??? But what my problem with this location(not sure if other spots do it as well), is the portion size of the Urban Fries and the other side dishes that I order. Lo and behold, I see a new side dish of Japanese 5-spice green beans. My wife loves her some green beans and what is put on the plate from the side dish area that has the tasty mashed potato, mac and cheese, cheesy bread, and soup area? The amount of green beans the size of my palm, and I see more of the white plate than anything else. Come on, it was around 5:00 on a Sunday night, the food has been sitting there and nobody was ordering them. Help me out here man. If you run out, make a new batch because everything Jack’s makes is usually pretty quick. The last time my wife came, same thing happened with the Urban Fries and they were cold. Sadly, I am not able to post a picture of either incident. And yet, I keep coming back because it’s close to where I live and the salads and sandwiches are consistently good. I guess I’ll just have to get past my love of Urban Fries because they don’t do it justice with the price and portions.

Jacks offers a lot of choices in sandwiches, salads and sides. Its almost like a home cooked meal, but faster. Bought the tri tip sandwich with mashed potatoes, tri tip plate with corn and tried out the urban fries. Came out to $ 27 and was more than enough for two adults. They have a patio area. You get a number and the meal is brought out to you after you order in a moving assembly line. Staff is friendly and pretty fast. The corn was great and tasted like elotes. The tri tip sandwich was excellent and urban fries were different, but a good different. The separate tri tip by itself needed more flavor, but the mashed potatoes had a lot of flavor. Worth the price and I will be back for more.

This is a great place to grab lunch! Don’t come here before 11am though because that’s when they open. But maybe get here before 11:15am if you want a table because by 12noon there was a line out the door. The service is super quick. You just tell them what you want and they make it right away and in front of you. We all had salads, the sweet potato fries, and their urban fries. It was all amazing and fresh. If I’m ever back in the Sacramento area, I’d love to come back here and try other foods on their menu.

I love love love this place!!! I wish we had one in Seattle :( You can make your own salads and sandwiches with a bunch of yummy fresh ingredients as well as a bunch of delicious sides. It’s kind of like chipotle where you can make your own meal but better. Also, their ur as fries are amazing :)

I haven’t dined in at Jack’s Urban Eats for a long time, so I decided to try it out. As I entered, it’s much like Chipotle with great variety of well-known foods(from sandwiches, salads, entrées, etc) at an affordable prices. So far, there are many people dined in at this North Natomas location in the lunch hour(mostly business people) every day. For the ordering process, there’s a sided menu to see their selections before ordering it. After I’ve made my selection, I headed in a single line to order and the server will making my order for me in no time. Once I ordered, the food has arrived timely estimating about 5 minutes. I ordered the tri-tip banh mi and garlic fries(I haven’t tried the Urban fries before, but might come back soon for my next visit.) As I ate the banh mi, it tasted very good. It has the Vietnamese taste feel on it and the tri-tip cooked very good in a medium cooked heat. Additionally, the garlic fries is alright for my opinion. The iced tea is good, but it’s closely sweeten for me after I drank it. Hopefully, it needs an unsweetened iced tea on every Jack’s restaurants. The service is well received; no issues at all. Overall, Jack’s Urban Eats is a great restaurant chain that your wallet or purse approves at an affordable price. As I mentioned, I’ll definitely come back to try more!

Live, love, eat here… Love us some jacks! Seriously, where can you go in this town, and get a made to your own way salad? Sandwich? The large salad can feed a family. Okay, it’s not that huge, and frankly, you won’t want to share. Love the buffalo chicken salad. Over the years, the chicken portion has gotten smaller. The steak salad is heaven on a plate. Just do it.

Jack’s is definitely one of my go to spots to grab an awesome salad or tri tip sandwich. Why the 3 stars then? Well, my tri tip on my salad was super overcooked and dry. This was the first time that I ever encountered dry, overcooked meat at any of their locations. Service was excellent though. They really piled on my salad and worked through the line in a flash. Their ingredients are always super fresh. I also loved the gorgonzola vinaigrette. Such a bummer about the tri tip… such a fluke. I will definitely be back to give it another try.

Been going to jacks for years but finally got around to write a review! Service: it’s hit and miss I feel because the employees are either in a good mood or a bad mood. When you catch them in a good mood, they are very friendly and efficient! When you catch them in a bad mood, they are unfriendly and not motivated. BUT usually, they are pretty good most of the time. Food: I love the trip tip! I love eating the tri tip sandwich and love eating the tri tip just carved! Get it rare because that’s the best way to eat red meat!!! Tip: ask for ah jus to eat with your meat! It makes it that much better! The salads are great too! Fresh ingredients and different types of salads BUT my absolute favorite is the Caesar! The signature side to me is the garlic fries! Probably one of the best garlic fries I ever had! They are hot, crispy, and full of garlic!!! I also love the blue cheese fries! Fries covered with blue cheese and red pepper flakes! After you eat at jacks, you can go to cold stone for ice cream since it’s right next door! Happy eating!
