Unfortunately, I have agree with other folks who were disappointed in the service. I ordered about 1,000 dollars of undercounter lights and high quality puck lights. The transformers were ordered incorrectly for the puck lights and two of the puck lights were ordered incorrectly. First, I waited four weeks for the incorrect order. Then another four weeks for the correction which was still incorrect. After calling several times and not getting an update or response, I went to another lighting store that had my items in three days. The one reviewer was correct about the attitude of one salesperson; did not listen and made assumptions. I have never received a response about the outstanding order on the puck lights.

I’ve always had very good luck shopping at Hobrecht. Whether I go in to browse and dream about what I would buy if I had more space or I have a specific item in mind, I can find it here. The store has a good balance of having people there to help me and answer my questions, while also giving me space to look around.
I’ve purchased all of the lights for my new house here including special ordering my dining room fixture, which I had within a couple of weeks.
All in all, I’ve been very satisfied. I will go back when I need something new.

I received good service and my order arrived quickly.

Lighting selection can be frustrating and overwhelming to pick out because there is so much available.

I originally gave them five stars in a review based on some great service. However it’s clear that the service is inconsistent. On the original order, I was given a Contractor Discount and got some really good information. One very positive visit. The second visit, however, hasn’t been good. We ordered a switch several weeks ago, which had to be ordered. No discount this time. They told us it would take a week an a half. We waited a month before it arrived-​phone calls went unanswered or they promised to call us back and never did. After a month, our parts arrived. But before we could get down to pick up the parts, we had a rainstorm, and their roof leaked ruining our part. They said they would overnight another switch. The «overnight» took a week and a half. I could have ordered the switch on Amazon and I think it would have come faster. The first order went great. The second order was so frustrating. I hate to say it but I don’t think I will go back there.

At first, customer service was subpar as it took 5 months for them to get me the proper pieces to correct my light kit and chandelier.
Anthony, the new store manager was able to rectify the issue in about a weeks time. I just can’t seem to give them anything higher than 3 stars because I waited so long.

I try not to write negative reviews, but I have to concur with the other Unilocalers.
Called them first to make sure the light I had in mind was in stock. Their website indicated they had 23 in stock as well. Spoke to the older woman about it. She curtly said, «this is internet, I don’t deal with internet» and waved me off. Get out felt implied. Tried to engage her again in some questions about size and product. She answered a couple questions but the tone was the same. The store is beautiful. I would have been receptive to other options had customer service been employed. I wonder how many sales have walked right out the door. Had an ambitious day planned but kind a ruined my mood. Decided to come home, make a margarita, and watch the play-​offs. Oh well.

Although this store has some beautiful fixtures. I would never shop here.
I would not even give this place 1 star if i had the option.
The old lady that works here is a huge ignorant snob. My fiancée and I went here to buy several chandeliers for our new home. We may look younger (20’s) I am assuming and we were def judged on our appearance. Instead of asking us questions the lady continued to assume our ceiling size, our budget etc. I told her that I was interested in French country type chandeliers but instead continued to show me «Italian/​Tuscan» ones which are totally different. She treated us like we were unable to afford items sold here and told us to look in the back (ugly area with i am guessing discount lighting). Rude woman who has no sense of customer service. Never shopping here. Do not go unless you want prejudiced service. I found several great lighting stores Downtown however :)
