I love their low fat marinated chicken and rice plate! It has been my favorite lunch in this area for a long time. The customer service is good and fast. Definitely recommend this place.

I enjoy their gyro plate a lot and its one of the few places you can get one downtown. The prices are also pretty good. Overall the quality could be a little better but would definitely recommend this place.

This place has always been delicious, and fresh, with excellent customer service. It’s also very affordable. My rating is based on the food and customer service. The ambience is whatever you find at a food court. I have no complaints. If you want a restaurant ambience, go to a restaurant. This is a food court in a shopping mall.

Got the Gyro Plate. Quick, warm, served and cooked by Greeks! Not sure what’s up with the negative reviews. But I consider myself very judgements like of good food. I come from Chicago where cheap, greasy food thrives. Thanks for the smile, service, and most importantly the good food Gyro Supreme.

This poor little food court is such a ghost town but the gyro and falafel here are quite tasty. The décor they chose with the tile and columns is really cute for a little food court locale.

Decent food for the area. There aren’t a whole lot of take out options in that immediate area, so it’s pretty much chain chinese or this. It works in that case, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

I love this place. The city of Sacramento should really make sure that the owner is taken care of during and after the arena construction. He is one of the few businesses that have stuck with the mall for quite a while now. I think the City should help him stay in the mall or help him find a prime location in the area. I hope all the Unilocalers will support him too.

I love this place. The pros: The gyros and falafel are fresh, delicious, and cheap. This place beats other pita joints in town… not gonna name names… but this place is #1! The cons: the atmosphere. Let’s face it, the food court is a damn ghost town, and usually too cold. And there’s the occasional bird that sneaks in the double doors, and that makes it even more depressing. Well hell, just eat outside, cause the food is way good.

I was in the area with a friend to watch the Tour of California and we loved this place! Would definitely go back next time we’re in town. But what’s up with that shopping mall? Majority of the stores were closed or unoccupied. Odd.

This place is my favorite place to go at the mall. I’m sad that this family-owned business of 28 years is going downhill due to the construction that will be taking place here until the end of 2016! It’s fresh and delicious so eat here instead of Panda!

I am a vegetarian and LOVE middle eastern food. I have eaten it in many cities and this is some of the best I have ever had in the«fast food» genre. I tried the vegetarian plate and the baba ganouj and hummus were perfect and obviously made from fresh ingredients. The falafel was also delicious and fresh(old or greasy falafel is the worst, and this was the opposite!!) with perfect spicing. Staff was super nice and accommodating. Really glad to discover this gem in the downtown mall food court and will definitely return.

Food is DELICIOUS!!! OMG I usually prefer chicken but here I prefer their lamb and beef. The Staff is ALWAYS nice, accommodating, and knowledgeable. I can’t remember if it is the same staff or they hire awesome people. I didn’t know what to get so they let me sample everything first. I have had their fries, rice, salad, gyro, chicken gyro meat and lamb & beef. Their garlic sauce for the gyros is amazing. Also VERY reasonably priced. Next time I will try their wings and chicken strips. I can’t wait to pick something up from Macy’s and grab take out from there next week.

There are a handful of concessions at the Downtown Plaza’s food court that have real staying power. In a mall where the word«turnover» is used more liberally than the Pillsbury Doughboy at a pastry convention, it’s important to take note of who and why. WHO Gyro Supreme. Among its peers – restaurants that have been food court residents for more than 15 years – are Hot Dog on a Stick, Panda Express and Sbarro. All three of these are national chains with resources behind them. It’s impressive to think that this little Greek food shop has weathered economic ups and downs and, most importantly, the torturous death spiral of the Downtown Plaza as well as its more well-to-do counterparts. They’re doing something right. WHY Good food at reasonable prices. The caveat here is that I’m not directly comparing Gyro Supreme to other Greek restaurants like Petra or Opa Opa. It’s harder to rate service and ambiance when you’re eating in a cold, loud, uninspired setting like the mall. But the food has good seasoning, the meats are fresh and tender and the combo deals are hard to beat. Bonus: this is your healthy option here. My go-to is the chicken breast special which comes with rice, a salad and pita bread. I love the salad dressing and the tzatziki dipping sauce brings the whole thing together. At the end of the day, it’s fine to wrinkle your nose at the mention of the food court. I get that. But the next time your stomach is begging for a bite on that long walk from the Men’s Macy’s to the Everything Else Macy’s, ignore the homogeneously-clad youth and moms with double strollers and step up to Gyro Supreme. Support a local owner; reward longevity. And eat well.

this is a mall thing. nothing fancy, no service to speak of, but it’s good food for a mall experience. i can recommend it as one of the best falafel sandwiches in sacramento.

Yum! Their food is fresh and delish. I always get the greek salad and for the price the portion is just right. Their pita bread is bomb as well.

So glad to be here again. I love the chicken and the lamb. Today I had a Gyro Lamb plate. The rice and salad are perfect compliments and the dipping sauce is to die for. Been eating here ever since they opened and hope they never leave the downtown mall. Go support and eat some great food.

Falafel sandwich or the mujadara plate is a pretty legit vegan lunch. You might have to do some menu substitutions depending on your dietary needs, but for me I just get hummus on the sandwich and the mujadara plate doesn’t have any dairy in it. They also give 10% off if you’re a state employee, and the people who work there are pretty friendly. I generally hate the DTP but this place is fine for lunch. It’s also usually the least packed during the lunch rush since every behemoth is waiting in line at Panda Express.

Gyro Supreme is better than you’d think for being in a mall and a solid value. $ 7.29 a gyro sandwich, drank, and side(fries, salad, or rice)? I’m in. I was quite satisfied with the flavor of the gyro meat as well as the taziki. The rice side is good. Yes, worth noting good. This probably means they put salt and butter in it. Whatever, it’s good. Doesn’t shitty rice piss you off? This won’t. You know Gyro Supreme is not bad because it’s in Johnna B’s Sacramento Gyro list , the premier Sacramento gyro list on Unilocal. It’s either Gyro Supreme or Asian tacos at Saigon Eats when you are mall bound. Imma go falafel next time, maybe update this nonsense.

Food: Close to decent, nothing to rave about. There are definitely way better Gyro and Mediterranean places in Sacramento. Ambiance: Food court at Downtown Plaza, need I say more. However it was surprisingly clean and the janitorial staff was on their A game. Service: Friendly older gentlmen working, only had to wait a few minutes for food. They had beer and wine, kind of cool. Price: $ 18 for a small baba ganoush, large Greek Salad and Chicken Gyro. Not cheap for the food you get. Overall: If you have to eat at the Downtown Plaza Food Court and I want the least unhealthy food outor craving falafel, then yes.
