Green Thumb Hydroponics

Great shop! Prices are fair and by far cheaper than other stores. All the equipment is of high quality. They carry both main name brands as well as some cheaper ones so you have a choice if you have a budget. A guy, Sean, helped me the most. Very knowledgeable and im someone who goes in and wants to have a million questions answered about each nutrient then not get half of what i ask about but he was patient as well as made great suggestions. The location is a bit hard to find. Just drive thru the parking lot at the end of the culta sac and go around the other buildings. Overall the store is a perfect 5 star in everything. Clean and well maintained.

This is the best hydro store around. The staff is the greatest. They always have awesome deals and are very knowledgeable. They always take time to help u save but still give u the best quality items to keep ur garden at its best.

When i first shop here i came out out of the store with 60 dollars worth of products. that included smart pots, soil, cal mag silica ph tester. About a month later i want back for more soil.
Since when 22 dollars retail value equals 34 out the door. It like you see the price and youre like cool the. Get to the register youre adding everything up in your head like that dont even make sense. White flies trap was 450 i paid 750. I know the owner. Who also runs a shop on Fulton same items plus more except when retail is this price is not that price out the door including taxes. Not to mentions getting followed around the store and feeling like im being rush out as soon as i walk in to provide service. Everyone should receive the same service you cant be giving discounts to all your friends walking in to buy stuff then give randoms high ass taxes

The location and their hours aren’t the greatest, but the store is well stocked with very competitive prices. I had very low expectations after my experience with the worthless mongoloids at the Green Thumb in Citrus Heights, but the guys at this south sac shop are pros. I would give them only 4 stars due to the terrible hours, but the employees really are rare find in a hydro store. This is now my go-​to shop when they’re open.

This is my go to spit when I need to pick up some soil or nutrients for our vegetable garden. The staff is friendly and quite knowledgable. My experiences here have been good.

To start it off they have great prices and discounts daily and the most helpful staff I’ve ever encountered through out all my life.
The prices were low as I would expect living here in Sacramento and they have great selections on so many things you can think off for your plant purposes.
The staff was helpful making recommendations and being nice and telling me everything about products there since I am new to hydroponics.
Overall the store she be everyone’s first hydroponic choice with no hesitation!

Really great shop. No shady people hanging out and not a cover for illicit activities. I love the fact they have a used equipment are for poor bastards like me. They are really personable. They yell my name when I enter the shop. There’s a little guy named scurp that always assist me with my growing needs. They always give me freebies when they got them. I’ve had a lot of success and I owe it all to those guys. Thanks Scoot, Drama, the Asian guy, Paul, John, and the random White g’s I seen there. Hmm, no tokens?

Excellent service!
The two male clerks working were very helpful and answered all my questions.
They did not try and sell me the most expensive things they had, but instead worked around my budget to find something awesome.
After I bought a setup, I came home to find that one of the cords did not fit. Called them immediately a little bit annoyed but when I went to pick up the adaptor, it was free of charge.
Very helpful and informative employees!

I’ve been shopping with Green Thumb for the past three and have seen them grow to three stores. They have been successful because they have the best customer service in town. Their staff is knowledgeable and very helpful and thats why I’ve been a loyal customer. Their prices are very competitive with other discount shops but their service far exceeds any of the discount shops that have cheap prices but no knowledgeable staff. Their new store on Fulton is the nicest store I’ve ever been in. I definitely recommend shopping at Green Thumb.

This place is legit.
I went in to pick up something to put some seedlings in – they had four different starter mediums.
Then, just for fun, I decided to ask how much the T5 lights are. I needed one, and wanted to know how much I would be saving by ordering it from Amazon.
Amazon’s price: $ 112
Green Thumb Hydro’s price: $ 98
Well, that didn’t work out quite the way I was expecting… so I get to save money AND support a local business? Works for me.
My only complaint is that nothing seems to be labelled with a price. They have hundreds of different and awesome products… and no real way of knowing how much they cost without asking.
Still, that’s a pretty minor complaint, since everything I bought seemed to be cheaper than hardware stores, nurseries, and even the internet. I’m impressed.
Quasi-​update: Make sure to check their hours before you head out. I think they’re closed on Sundays, and I know they close somewhat early during the week (I think 7pm).
