Grant Park

Nice park and well taken care of. But, the city doesn’t take care of the restrooms. I don’t think they have even been opened so people will just go outside the locked door. Wish the city would open and maintain them.

Nice park for picnics and toddlers (it has a tot lot) BUT don’t come here for a dog park-​us neighbors with dogs do not appreciate your dog running free and you not picking up after them. We use this park too. Go down the street to the B Street/​Suttler’s Landing for that. I love the park for normal park activities. I will give 4 – 5 stars when the park rangers site these thoughtless dog owners and send them down.

I usually eat my lunch here on weekdays. I would give it a higher rating but since I’m not playing softball and don’t have kids, the park is just a big field with some picnic tables and a bathroom. The shade is nice after about noon, though.
Speaking of kids, be very careful coming here. I’ve had my quiet lunch over-​run by small children in large groups. They even tried to steal my bike once.
Also watch out for middle-​aged guys from Blue Diamond Almonds taking naps on the bleachers by the baseball backstop.
