The best mash potato, Mac and cheese with turkey! I love how it’s all seasoned right. Felt like I’m eating the best thanksgiving ever *yum*

I’ve already given this place four chances and this is the last time I order food from here. Inconvenient: Cramped and unkempt, sticky countertops, uncleaned soda spills, and trash laying about. There are three different lines for food(salad, sandwich, and entrée), so it’s very confusing when you walk in. The glass divider is too tall, I had to tiptoe to get my order clearly to the server. After packaging your food they hand it to you over ther glass divider, I dropped my sauce and HAD to ask for a new one(more on that later). Food: The meat is over cooked and and so dry it could start a fire. The roasted chicken is disgusting, no seasoning whatsoever and it has an odd scent. Mashed potatoes and mac and cheese, same thing– dry, really weird taste, no seasoning. Salad is nothing special and not worth more than $ 5. Bread/sandwiches are dry, hard, and bland. Customer Service: Shit. Back to when I dropped my sauce. The cashier and two other employees saw me drop the damn sauce and didn’t bother to ask if I wanted to replace it. Of course I want to replace it, I dropped the sauce and everything spilled out. Their rudeness masked my embarrassment. Time to pay. Cashier asked if I had any meat in my salad(I was the only person at the little bar, and the salad bar was right next to the cash register), I thought she was asking if I had a full or side salad. She asked again, and AGAIN I couldn’t hear her and needed her to repeat herself. She was obviously annoyed at this point but seeing how rude she was I paid no mind. BUTWHENYOUAREFUCKINGMUMBLINGYOUHAVENORIGHTTOGETMAD. Moral of the story with this shitty place: Don’t even bother. You’ll just waste your money.

Huge customer service FAIL! Apparently there are two lines to stand in for service… one for sandwiches and one for salads. But neither is marked. When I finally was called to the«salad» counter, I ordered the half sandwich half salad option. Instead of making my salad, the guy pointed to the other line and said you need to order the sandwich in that line first. So I went to Gordito Burrito and had tacos for lunch. #lackinganyformofcommonsense

I have to say that Good Eats is one of the best places in Sac State to get a fulfilling quick bite to eat. I know that their line situation is confusing especially during peak hours but if you can get past that, you are in store for a good meal. They have a Build Your own salad bar(except they build it for you) and they have two sizes and the small is actually a good size but the price is pretty close to the large so its just personal preference. You can also build your own sandwich and have added a larger variety of sauces and bread selections since last semester. The chicken meal deals are also pretty popular, I’ve never had this but those mashed potatoes catch my eye every time I’m there. I’ve always had a good experience with the staff there whether its busy or not, so good job guys! You can always go across the way to Burger King to get a cheaper meal, but Good Eats is always going to have higher quality better-for-you food.

No wonder why this place is not as busy as it use to be. It has gone down hill. Way less options on the sandwiches and higher prices. Just had the driest sandwich ever. The chicken was dry, bread was OK… kinda hard though, it only had like two little tomato slices and couple of pickles. Having in mind the poor food choices on campus I might go back for a salad there but not gonna waste money on sandwich again. Hopefully management reads Unilocal reviews because they really need to change their new strategy.

So tomato, pickles, onions, lettuce is the only thing you can get on these sandwiches. The bbq sauce was dry. The cheese is gross. And my bread was rock hard… Never again

Their sandwiches are pretty good. But their prices not so much. They increase nearly all the prices every semester and it really sucks. But this I a great place to get chicken plate, sandwiches, or salads. Love how you can make your own salad, their chicken and the mashed potatoes! Most of their employees are kick ass, except this one white lanky dude who is like super slow. Whenever I see him working a certain are I try to avoid him cause he just takes FOREVER to prepare the food. Other than that. Pretty legit. Bad pricing. Super crowed at times too

I feel like Good Eats is one of the most underrated places to eat on Campus. The line moves pretty fast and it is never too busy compared to other eateries on campus! The food is an exceptional value for what you get. The food seems more authentic and less processed than other places on campus! If you are hungry and looking for something that if affordable, fast and will fill you up Good Eats is the place for you!

The food is a welcome deviation from the standard student union offerings but they, hands down have one of the worst line and ordering systems I have EVER experienced. Don’t be fooled by the ‘ready to eat’ appearance. What seems to be a simple assembly line situation is in actuality… a clusterfuck. The double lines only exacerbate the already hectic counter area with few customers aware that salads are to be ordered separately. The meal itself isn’t bad at all, but it really wasn’t worth the wait and confusion.

This place had nothing to do with Alton Brown. I left feeling very disappointed. The prices are rather high and the quality is not much different than an off brand frozen dinner you might pick up at Walmart after your girl dumped you and you’ve realized you can’t cook.

Its alright, prices on the slightly high side. But honest to God, this place needs to fix how they divide up their confusing lines at rush times…

I love their hummus sandwich with all the veggies. It only $ 5.50 and filled me up most of the day.

My favorite place to eat on campus! It’s hidden right by Burger King in the Union. The prices are great for the amount you get. Sandwiches are fresh — I recommend a warm tri tip sandwich with chipotle sauce! Salads are hand tossed to order… lots of topping choices! And they’re huge for the price. And lastly the rotisserie chicken plates are perfect on cold days. mashed potatoes are the best! Don’t forget to add a fresh cookie to your meal too… they bake them in the unit so the smell draws everyone in!
