We’ve seen a lady and a man at the same location, and the stands are pretty much spotted along florin road the closer you get to 99 from 5. But this one is my favorite.
I love getting either the whole fruit combo, or just cucumbers and mango with chile and lime, lots of lime.
At $ 5 it’s a super awesome treat.
I’ve noticed that they usually start up when the weather is warmer, we saw a stand out in March, but then not again since, so hopefully soon.

A heaping quart container of fresh, cold fruit for five bucks from a friendly vendor cart man. Pineapple, mango, watermelon, cucumber, cantelope. Season to taste with salt, chile, lime.
On sidewalk in front of Long’s Drugs, near corner of Florin and Freeport. Delicious! Seasonal, of course. But for now, aqui todos dias.
UPDATE: December 2007 — our babysitter saw the food police bust this nice vendor. Heaven forbid someone try to make an honest living out there! Hopefully he’ll return when the weather gets better, along with a permit or whatever the food police require.
