so-so place for quick lunch. food is about average… like other review mentioned, it is American-Vietnamese food.

It’s fast Chinese food. The Banh mi sandwich is good, but expensive. The rest of the dishes are ok based on deli type plates with a reasonable price. Not a date place, but great for a quick lunch.

I have gone here many times for orange chicken an chow mein, but today I was craving a good banh mi and boba tea. The charbroiled pork sandwich was absolute perfection. Plenty of crispy veggies, a huge baguette and plenty of sauce. The boba tea was also great. Their prices are certainly reasonable, too.

I take out their pork bánh mì once a week and am also a fan of their pork bún. The staff is really friendly and the prices are great. The only real seating is outside at Posey’s. So nice that they’re close to the Capitol!

This place is pretty tasty. Situated between Vallejo’s and Posey’s General Store. This is Vietnamese and Chinese food. The Beef Chow Fun is tasty I order it with extra bean sprouts! They tend to get very busy and is a fave spot amongst State employees. Food is quick, fresh and good! The lady is always really sweet. Its a good go to spot for Chinese take out. They give nice size portions which I take home for leftovers. Place is clean. They also sell Boba drinks! Yummy! I love Boba!

Four stars for good food and average lunch-time prices in the downtown Sacramento area. I never went to whatever establishment was there before Dragon House, so I can’t speak to whatever other reviewers have to say about that.(I don’t think it’s fair to compare one establishment to another but that’s besides the point.) The staff at Dragon House are nice and friendly. The lady today tried to make a hard sell for an extra meat, just for one more dollar! but let it go when I said I was fine with the chicken and fried rice combo meal. It was tasty and they prepared it quickly. The one meat combo was about $ 6.30 or so with tax, so it’s not unreasonable for lunchtime food. They give you a lot of rice and a good portion of meat. I haven’t tried them but they seem to offer Asian-themed shakes or whatever desert drinks. I might try one someday. So, for a quick, easy, lunchtime meal, stop by Dragon House. You’re not getting a three-course, sit-down dining experience but you’re getting a good meal for a good price. Thanks!

I only go here often because I work in a building next to it. For a weekday lunch, it is fast and cheap. 12 pm is crowded, so either go before or after. Their chinese food is honestly nothing special and just OK. What keeps me coming back is the soup and the spring rolls. On a cold day, the piping hot soups are worth burning the roof of your mouth for! The broth is always incredibly tasty and the veggies are fresh. I am very picky about my chicken and love that their meats aren’t «ugly»…mostly breast meat with no stringy questionable parts. The best soups are the Phở Noodle Chicken soup, WonTon soup(with all chicken), and the Hot and Sour soup. IMHO, this hole-in-the-wall has the best Phở in town. The spring rolls are great because they are light, have a nice sauce, and are packed with fresh cilantro and mint for that extra fresh crunch. Great for takeout to bring food back to eat in your office and make your co-workers jealous of how good it smells.

Wow. I don’t think I have ever experienced such small portions in my entire life. Food was bland, but expensive. Also found a hair in my chow mein. Probably will never come back.

Dragon house is a quick and easy place to grab either Chinese Food or Vietnamese food. Here are my tips for this venue: *Fast and Quick, easier if you call in your order. *Busy busy(full of State Workers), line usually out the door. *No indoor seating but you can sit outside, for to-go only. *Order items that come from the back, the food in the pans never look fresh. *Phở Ga is pretty good. I ordered without the noodles last time and they added veggies(that was GREAT). *Banh Mi’s are ok, not much meat and you have to request jalapenos. *Prices are reasonable. *Staff is friendly. Overall a Quick spot to grab a to-go lunch during the week.

Quick service, good food, and great prices! Oh, and let’s not forget the throwback jams! I’ll be one of those state workers lip-syncing to some S Club 7 while waiting to get my banh mi fix ;) I also love their jasmine milk tea(with extra ice), but just remember to bring cash because there’s a $ 4 minimum purchase to use your card!

I went here because it’s next to La Bou and the line at La Bou was too long. I ordered mixed veggies with tofu and chow mein. It was greasy and too much oil/sauce. It’s pretty typical for a cheap, quick Chinese restaurant. Not worth making a point of going to, but if you’re in the area and in the mood for salty, greasy chow, give it a try. No indoor seating, only outdoor. Most orders seem to be takeout.

The food here is alright. Maybe on a day I forget my lunch I’ll call in an order of spring rolls with peanut sauce but everything else is just to oily. The customer service needs huge improvement however! I went in around 2:00 and the short lady in the front didn’t even bother greeting me and continued fiddling with her phone, seriously? So rude, especially for being a repeat customer! So I put in my order and it turns out they were out of rice and then she goes back to her phone and didn’t even bother asking if there was anything else I can get. Mmm I will not be back, and ontop of that the prices always Just happens to change, like really how can the same dish I always get be a different price.

Came here on 09÷25÷14. I am much more pleased with this place than the other local Chinese place on 10th and P st, Better quality everything and there is more chicken than batter in the food!

This place is pretty good for a hole-in-the-wall Chinese spot. I usually get the Salted Peppered Shrimp(without shell) with Chow Mein, The Chow Mein is good with some hot oil & soy sauce, and the shrimp is crispy & delicious. I also tried the Crystal Walnut Shrimp yesterday and it was pretty good! I’m a Pescatarian so I cant really comment on their meat, but for all of you seafood/veggie eaters that work downtown, check this place out the next time you’re craving Chinese food.

This place made me really miss Bambu, I wasn’t really expecting it to be better than Bambu, but I was hoping for something decent. Instead I got a drink that was pretty awful, the Dragon House Special. Way too much syrup from the canned fruit was included so instead of coconut juice, it tasted like watered down syrup. So the drink itself wasn’t good, so I figured I would just eat the fruit inside… the longan was bad… it was old and I think it had gone bad… I had to spit it out… and I love canned longan(I actually enjoy it better than the fresh fruit longan even). I think I should have realized from how dark the longan was, but I tried to convince myself it was maybe because it was canned and it’d been awhile since I had canned longan, but no I was let down. If this drink was all that I ever had here it would be a one star, but the owner is super nice and I do enjoy the sandwiches here. I’d give the sandwiches three stars. If you want Vietnamese without driving to South Sac this place isn’t bad, but do not get the dessert drinks. It was not worth the $ 4.

This place is close to work and I’ve gone here twice before for boba drinks and today for a single entrée. The drinks, 4⁄5 stars. The Thai tea and Jasmine milk tea were a decent price, good flavor for a much needed afternoon pick me up. The food today, 1.5÷5. I came in at 1p and got the single entrée General chicken w/fried rice. Both item and side served panda express style. The food looked like it had been sitting for a while. I was only able to eat half of it because I started to feel sick. I’m not sure I trust anything other than the drinks that is ready to be served instantly. Proceed with caution.

+ Food Convenient, moderately fast and cheap(I only get made-to-order food) Vietnamese and Chinese food. I like it. Its not the best but it does the job of filling my stomach when I am at work! I like their pork sandwiches the most and it costs less than $ 5.00. It’s tasty and the vegetables are pretty crunchy and fresh. The spring rolls(Dragon Special) are also pretty good. I would recommend them if you’re not too hungry and want something somewhat light. + Service Friendly and attentive service. They never messed up my order or forget about me, even though it is oh-so-packed during lunch hours! Kuddos! Good for people that works around the Capitol area. I just really appreciate the convenience of having a good Vietnamese restaurant just around the corner.

Love this place! I cant say enough good things about this place — GREAT food!(BBQ Pork Sandwich is INCREDIBLE!) — Staff is VERY friendly and polite and make a point to remember you — The value is amazing! I challenge anybody to find a better value for the amount of quality food you get. — Just as fast, if not faster than fast food, but above and beyond better and sometimes cheaper!

FROMTHEREARVIEWMIRROR Okay. It’s interesting what a few years can change. And I used to say that this eatery was better than Yummy Choice(it’s main local competitor — as in immediate proximity by a couple blocks). Not true anymore. * Yummy Choice portions seem much larger now * Dragon House has gotten more expensive * Whereas Yummy Choice will let you do a half & half split on the combo with both chow mien & fried rice, Dragon House will not do this anymore. * The front counter is absolutely empty now — all food is in the back. If you are a first timer coming to Dragon House, you better know up front what you want because there is nothing sitting out front to help you visualize what your options are, which is a complete failing on their part because the visual aspect is what sells. I’ve seen guys walk in here, look at the counter, ask what they serve, get a blank look back from the register gal, and then turn and leave. *NOTGETTINGTHEPICTURE* THELOWDOWN Once a great stop with excellent customer service, and good portions for excellent cost. Not so much anymore.
