Donald Clarke, DDS – Dental Source of California

Currently I drive 100 miles to Sacramento to still go to the dental office on Marconi Avenue. I have been going there for the last 15 years and have never been disappointed. Prior to going to Dr. Clark and his wonderful staff I I had extreme anxiety issues evolving from previous dental experiences. During my 15 years I have had three different dentist and all of them were very empathetic, very caring, and compassionate. I seriously owe them for the smile that I have today. When I first moved 100 miles away I tried a dentist closer to my new home and was completely disappointed. One visit and my insurance money was gone and the dentist herself was very curt, short, and just overall one of the reasons I’d stop going to the dentist prior Dr. Clark. Needless to say I headed back to Sacramento in a heartbeat. Reading the reviews prior to mine about old equipment I can tell you I really wasn’t aware. They’ve done an incredible job with my teeth including root canals, deep cleanings and crowns and I have no complaints whatsoever. I would also like to mention that I took my children here when they were younger and still go there today.

I’ve been using this office for a several years because most procedures and cleaning come to almost zero cost for me with my insurance. The front desk staff is excellent and always work with me with rescheduling last minute or canceling an appointment. I have never been charged a cancellation fee by this place.
The dentists do excellent work, but the extent of work I have had done is cleaning and fillings. I’ve never had a painful experience or any other complaints. They do not have the most modern equipment, but the basic dental equipment needed to get most jobs done.

I went to this place a week about a week ago for the first time and was thuroughly impressed. The staff were extraodinarily friendly and helpful and the inside looked really nice and was well lit. While I was there I was under going a pretty painful check up and the dentist (who’s name I cant remember) was very empathetic and was sorry for causing the pain but told me it was necisarry. The staff made sure that my insurace was valid before I was seen by the dentist so that I wouldn’t get stuck with the bill. There was a huge issue that really irritated me and keeps them from getting a full five stars from me. It was determined that I needed to get a specific type of x-​ray but their machine for that particular x-​ray was broken and from my understanding it has been broken for a long time. Now I have to drive to the Roseville to get the x-​rays done. A huge inconvenience but over all it is a nice dental office.
