TIA completely ruined it!!! Extremaly unprofessional, irresponsible person!!!

I bought a Groupon for the Brazilian Blowout with Tia. I called the salon multiple times to make an appointment, but no one ever answered. Proceeded to book my appointment through the Groupon website. I have had other treatments in the past on my hair & usually there’s a few days that you cannot tie or clip your hair so I made sure to request days off my job after my blowout since my work requires me to have my hair up. The morning of my appointment, about 2hrs before I was supposed to be seen, I received an email from groupon saying my appointment had been cancelled. Had I not checked my email right as I was about to leave I would have driven all the way there just to find I did not have an appointment.
Since the salon still did not answer the phone I booked another date through groupon. This time I chose a date a week before I was to attend my friends wedding so my hair would look nice. A few days later I got another email saying my groupon had been cancelled.
I received a call from Tia & she told me they were having an issue w/​groupon & that to make an appt I should call or text her on her cell phone. Throughout the next couple months I kept trying to make an appointment w/​Tia but a lot of times she would say she will have to check her schedule or she would give me a date & I would say I would like to book it but she would not confirm it w/​me & then when I would follow up w/​her when the time was nearing she would not have an appointment for me. My groupon was finally about to expire & she had failed to respond to my latest texts so I ended up calling groupon & getting a refund through groupon credit.

I bought the groupon for this salon and was very excited to try it out based on the Unilocal reviews and pictures.
Turns out that is where my experience ended. I had a few questions I wanted to ask them before setting up an appointment online, so I called the salon a couple hours after opening, left a message with my number to return the call. I never got a call back that day. I called the next day hoping to reach someone this time, instead I talked to their voicemail again.
So, without my questions answered, I figured it was a sign to lay off this salon. I mean if they can’t even answer their phone/​return a call. I can imagine the attention they pay to their clients.
I’m in the process of getting my groupon money back, and already have taken my business elsewhere. This salon probably gives good cuts, but this place started my experience the completely wrong way.

I had purchased a brazilian blowout from livingsocial in March for Dollhouse Salon and was excited to use it. I called and left a voicemail to set up an appointment but never received a call back. I called back in April and left another message to set up an appointment; no one called me back again. I kept trying to call over the course of two weeks and finally one day Tia picked up. I told her I wanted to set up an appointment with her for a weekend day due to my work schedule not working out for her hours on the weekdays and she told me I could only use my livingsocial voucher on a weekday. She said she would try and see if she could figure out a weekend date to accommodate me and call me back to let me know. Never called me back. I gave it another try in June and left a message to see if I could set up another appointment. She called the next day and told me she could take me in on a Sunday in late June. When I got there, the door was locked and no one was there. I waited outside for thirty minutes and then another customer of hers who also happened to have a voucher and an appointment with her came by. She was frustrated as well that the salon was locked and Tia wasn’t picking up our calls. Tia eventually got her call and finally let us in. She took me in first to do my hair and then had me wait while the chemicals reacted and did the other girls hair. My hair turned out okay but it was such a hassle and an inconvenience to get it done through her. She was talking to me about a dry shampoo of hers and told me it was $ 20 but when all was done she charged me $ 30 for it too. I would never go back to this place.
So unprofessional and such a waste of time. Don’t bother with her service. It’s a ripoff.

This review consists of good and bad.
First of all, I got a groupon for a Brazilian Blowout plus cut. I’ve never had one before so I’m not going to drop $ 300 without knowing what I’m going to get. I call the salon to book my appointment and Tia answers the phone. I tell her I have a groupon and I want to make an appointment. She sounds unhappy, but makes me an appointment the following week. 30 minutes before the appointment, I get a phone call that she has to cancel. A little more warning would be nice. I then proceed to call her multiple times over multiple days to set up another time and she does not answer or respond to the voicemails. I finally get in touch with her and make another appointment. Great!
Today I show up for my appointment and guess what… Yeah, you guessed it, she wasn’t there. No call this time either. Jacque Marie, the other stylist at Dollhouse apologized for Tia (clearly this is an issue). She asked if I wanted to try to reschedule, and I told her no, honestly I don’t. She said she would be able to squeeze me in and I decided to go for it. She had a good vibe and didn’t try to guilt trip me about the groupon, so I felt good about it.
The whole process takes about 2.5 hours and Jacque was excellent at explaining what she was doing, making me feel comfortable and suggesting things I could be doing for my hair. I’m very happy with how my hair turned out and even happier that I didn’t have to call groupon and have them refund my money.
Bottom line, do not book with Tia if you want to keep your appointment time. She is unprofessional and obviously does not take pride in her reputation.

I went to Tia for a Brazilian blowout and cut. I have a history of taking pretty poor care of my hair, and this really made it look healthy. It was quite the process but well worth it! And Tia really gave me great info on how to properly care for my hair!
Tia is so knowledgeable with ALL types of hair, as is her partner Jackie! They were both awesome and Jackie even whipped me up a Mimosa. Not to mention Tia went and validated my parking for me!
The cut wasn’t exactly what I had in mind but was still very nice, I’ll definitely return for upkeep and more cuts!

Wanting to condition and trim my hair professionally, I was introduced to this salon through a great groupon deal. I don’t go to salons often because I hate it when they end up chopping off all of my hair. Tia was not one of them. Instead, she styled my hair to my liking. I like Tia because she gave me her honest opinion on what kind of style would match me. Thanks to her, my hair is not such a dread anymore! It’s easier to wash, brush, and tie into a bun. I also bought a hair masque from her so that my hair will not fall out as I age (too much heat damage)! I haven’t had the time to use it yet, but it got a lot of great reviews online. In addition, it is cheaper to buy it from her than the internet. I will most likely return later on to get a coloring. I decided my hair deserves more love :)
NOTE: The street parking sucks here. I had to run out in a hair bag and apron thing to re-​up the meter! Tia told me that if I park in the mall right in front of the salon, they have free validation for 3 hours. Make use of it!

Jaqui (I hope I spelled it right) did a great job to my horrendous hair that needed some desperate work. Without a doubt she was very welcoming and attentive to my needs and wants. The end result was fab and something I hadn’t done before. I would definitely recommend Jaqui, she’s simply awesome :)

I finally found my hair lady, been living in sacramento for 5 yrs now and every place that i went to they just couldnt get it right. Jackie did a great job with my hair, she worked hard on my hair and gaved me all her attention which i LOVE, got some great hair tips from her to, she knows her stuff… i will be going there for now on!

Tia Williams is a stellar hair stylist. I went in with poofy, frizzy, over processed hair with massive split ends. She shampooed, deep conditioned, blow dried, flat ironed, & styled my hair for only $ 45. She was polite, funny, & entertaining as well. I’m going back next month for low lights & highlights, conditioning, flat ironing, & styling for only $ 45 (on sale).

I got a great deal on Groupon! A hair cut with a deep conditioning for only $ 19. Tia did my hair … She is a great stylist ;-) definitely going back. Loved drinking a mimosa while getting pampered a +++

Awesome cuts and style from hair stylist Tia @Dollhouse!!! Tia is a hairstylist who has a gift for knowing what styles will work best for you! All I said to her was, «layer», «shoulder Leigh» and she was able to give me an end result that was better than how I imagined. I like how she cut my bands. It’s very soft looking and she also curled my flat hair so it looks more volume. I was very happy when I walked out of the salon.=) A great hairstylist is all about communication. Tia is also a hard worker with excellent customer service skills; she was able to multi-​task taking care of 3 clients at the same time! She cares about her clients, checks on them regularly and very talkative. I definitely recommended everyone visit DollHouse salon!
