The chicken pesto crêpe absolutely delicious!!! Cannot wait to come back and try something different. But this was a perfect lunch.

I really wanted to like this place, but I just didn’t. Our cashier/server was such a nice guy and worked really hard to make sure we enjoyed our experience. That’s why I’m giving it 2 stars. The food just wasn’t good — all the flavors were off and bland. I tried to order one of the crepes as an omelet but they couldn’t do that, they had to hand enter all the ingredients. I was offered salad or potatoes. I didn’t want the fried carbs so I reluctantly chose the salad, with my omlete, for breakfast…(btw I tasted one of the potatoes off another plate and they’re not good.) The salad wasn’t good either. It was soggy. The coffee wasn’t good. I asked for soy milk and they brought me something foamed and when I poured out in my coffee, it curdled. The hollandaise sauce was awful. Sorry. With so many great breakfast places, go elsewhere. And parking sucks.

I ordered the cali burger with a side salad. It was delicious. The cali burger contains mozarella cheese, sauteed onions, mushrooms and avocado. The cjeese was perfectly melted and it is a great combination with the mushrooms. The avocado made the burger even more supeb. I substituted the fries that come with the burger for a side salad, free of charge. The side salad was scrumptious — only thing is that there was slightly a little too much dressing but ot was still yummy. I would definitely come back for seconds.

Anrique San Francisco-esque coffee shop with old-fashioned chalkboard menu. Tons of options – not just sweet and savory crepes. They also have salads, sandwiches, pastas, omelettes, and pancakes. One size fits all crepalicious brunch/lunch/coffee joint. And their portions are giant! Pretty much everything comes with either fresh organic spring greens with balsamic or golden roasted russet potato chunks. Win-win! So much flavor under one little Italian inspired restauarantette :) And their chai tea latte is heaven!

For breakfast they offer all the normal breakfast items plus a selection of crepes. You can’t really go wrong with anything on the menu, but I’m a fan of the eggs benedict and, of course, any of the crepes. The«land park» crêpe is particularly tasty — I don’t normally like spinach but with this item they do it right. Not a big fan of the country potatoes — I wish they had hash browns available as an option.

Meh. I has the triple escape and my daughter had the chicken pesto crêpe while my granddaughter had the Mickey Mouse pancakes They deep fried my bacon making it flavorless. Who does that? The potatoes were very greasy and the tapitio was missing the inner cap, so when I poured it out it really poured out! To be fair the server did ask if she could make mor. e eggs for me, but we were in a hurry so I declined. My daughters crêpe was rediculously cheesy, with long strands of cheese everywhere making it difficult to eat. The salad it came with was good. Pancakes were good for my granddaughter. She really enjoyed them All in all it was ok, but there is better food out there for the same price

The location is awesome, great neighborhood. Parking is very bad, but I’m sure management is aware — it’s a tight spot. The food is great, it takes a little while to get it, but it’s tasty! The service is pretty good, but the deserts… to die for! I recommend you check this place out.

I came here 2 days in a row for breakfast. You’d think that I’d give it more than an «A-OK» rating. Guess it’s an average of both visits. The first day I tried the«hidalgo benedict». Loved it! Perfectly poached eggs on top of bacon and spinach with a chipotle hollandaise sauce. I asked for extra crispy potatoes and they were extra crispy(not burnt) but still soft on the inside, just how I like it. Coffee was also good, slightly above a medium roast. The second day I ordered the«western scramble,» and unfortunately didn’t care much for that dish. I did not like the little round pieces of the chicken apple sausage. Seemed like it was chopped up little breakfast sausage links, not a full, thick link sausage. It could’ve been cooked a little longer too. I like my meats to be well done. Actually, everything on my plate could’ve been cooked a little longer. My boyfriend enjoyed his pancakes, eggs, and bacon. It’s funny that even though I ate there 2 days in a row, I didn’t try any of the crepes! They looked really good, especially the fruit crêpe(minus nutella) my friend ordered. I’ve eaten at Crepeville in Midtown numerous times, and the place is set up exactly like it, with a similar menu. The cashier said they are different businesses but owned by the same family, who have a monopoly on the crêpe outfits in northern California. So I’m sure the crepes are great, if that’s what you’re craving. Crêpe Escape is definitely added to my breakfast rotation, especially if I’m in a hurry and looking for some casual morning dining.

I’m not a big fan on going out for breakfast, but Crêpe Escape is on point! I’ve never had issues parking there, the staff is all friendly, sometimes indifferent. The service has never been too slow, though it’s not fast food. But what’s most important is that every time I’ve come here it’s been deeeeelicious! I’ve only gotten the crepes(Athena, Mediterranean, fruit lovers…) but I just noticed this last visit that they also have burgers and pasta too. Boyfriend says the coffee is gross there, but he loves the food as well. Overall Id say you can’t go wrong with this Crêpe Escape. I’ve gone with friends, family– everyone has enjoyed it, everyone is comfortable, satisfied with the delish dishes, and enjoys the calm ambiance. Thumbs up!

Crêpe Escape makes pretty dang good crepes! I went with the fruit lovers crêpe, which had blueberries, strawberries, bananas, and nutella. Really liked this sucker, and I would totally be down to try their apple version in future. Staff were friendly and helpful– they helped me choose that crêpe actually. Nice scenery and quick service on a sunny day, what more could you ask for? Oh yeah, free and easy parking, cheap prices, and located in close proximity to Sac State.

First time ever having Crepes(well other than my attempts at home), but I’m glad I had it here. When we arrived(it was all our first time) we sat down outside, but you actually had to order first & pay then seat yourself — not a big fan about that. However, when we ordered & asked questions the cashier was very nice. I ordered the triple escape & a strawberry Nutella crêpe. For me the triple escape(came with eggs, potatoes, bacon/sausage, & pancakes) wasn’t as good as I thought it’ll be from a place from there. My eggs had NO salt, yet the potatoes happened to be way too salty & my bacon was very very dry. I like the pancakes though, very fluffy. As for the strawberry Nutella crêpe, I enjoyed it. I personally think there was too much Nutella inside, but you can just scoop some out like how I did.

What a fabulous place! Parking is not too difficult to find. The space is open and airy. Beautiful paintings on the wall. They have an amazing selection of menu items. We were overwhelmed with choices! Our cashier was so open and friendly. He made the ordering process fun. We then had a seat in the outdoor seating area. On a beautiful day like today, its the perfect place to soak in the sun or relax under the shade. The food was so incredible!!! We had a Land Park Crêpe with Chicken added. The flavors were all so delicious. The spinach, mushrooms, avocado, and chicken blended together beautifully. And we ordered a tall glass of fresh orange juice to go with it. The experience was phenomenal. We didn’t have to wait too long for our food but I can tell this place is popular! When we went back to order dessert there was a line forming almost to the door. But that doesn’t stop them from giving excellent service. People would come by periodically to check if you need water or take unwanted plates away. Everyone who works here seems really nice. As we waited for our dessert to come out, we saw so many plates go by that all looked just as good to eat as the one we picked. The colors of the food and presentation on the plate was very appealing to the eye. Our Apple Crêpe did not disappoint! It was both beautiful and done to perfection. Just the right amount of brown sugar and cinnamon. And they included a gracious serving of whip cream and a mint. Absolutely perfect! I feel like we found a new favorite restaurant today. Definitely coming back to this place again!

The food is good, the service friendly and the atmosphere is open and clean. I’ve been to similar places that are a bit cheaper, since including a drink the place costs you between $ 10 and $ 16, more in line with $$ than $ in my opinion. The home potatoes were good albeit not as crispy or seasoned as I would like. The place feels somewhere in between a restaurant and a café.

HOLYMOLEY. This was JUST what the doctor ordered after running my first road race! The menu is gigantic, so I’m sure you’ll find something delicious to eat. I decided to go for the chicken pesto crêpe(minus onions) with home fries, and then a mexican hot chocolate to drink. The order took a little while to come out(I was at a table of 5, and all of the egg breakfasts came out before the crêpe breakfasts), but the crêpe was great. I asked for the potatoes to be burned(just how I prefer them), and they came out crispy, but I wouldn’t even say«extra» crispy or burned(I specified almost to the point of being thrown away!!). Thankfully, though, that crêpe was just SO good. It was stuffed to the max with cheese and chicken. The flavor was just on point. The Mexican hot chocolate, too, was REALLY good. I would come here almost weekly if I lived in Sacramento!

I have an update. I don’t know what has changed recently but i really have noticed the food has gotten even better. So I have to update my review and hats off to the chefs and the friendly guys that work there! I really like this place. Yes somewhat different than the 26th street one. Seems like this one is more like a neighborhood one vs the business lunch place. Anyway my kid always orders a special crêpe and I get either a breakfast or turkey burger. Oh yes the pasta dishes are real good here too. Seems like they just got a new cook here in the past year? But anyway the food is real real good now!!!

This place would be so much better if they also had more vegan low fat options. It would be very easy to offer brown rice and steamed vegetables in addition to the vegan scramble which doesn’t need to be sautéed in peanut sauce, yuck! Also they could offer baked potatoes that aren’t doused in oil which I realize most people don’t mind, but for the health conscious people in Sacramento, this place really doesn’t cut the mustard. My kids really like the crepes here and the salads and dressings are great too, very fresh! With a few minor adjustments this could be a place that everyone in our family would enjoy.

I was excited to find out there was another Crêpe Escape here in Sac. The only one I ever heard of was the one that was located on Freeport by Sac city college but unfortunately that one closed down. :( I had a chance to try this one out, believing it was the exact same as the one on Freeport but it just wasn’t. I usually order my usual, the chicken sauté, and when I ordered it here. It tasted different. Not bad, but not as good. I also noticed here they are missing some ingredients that is usually in the chicken sauté. Typically it comes with sausages, dried artichoke, onions, chicken and dried tomatoes but this place had a few missing like the sausages. That was my favorite part of the dish! Down one star. Another star down because they messed up on my crêpe order twice! I ordered a Nutella crêpe with peanut butter and a side of ice cream. They usually spread Nutella inside the crêpe and drizzle some chocolate syrup. I asked them to not drizzle any chocolate syrup in it and the cashier made a note. When my crêpe came out of course there was chocolate. I didn’t want to be one of those customers so I just ate the crêpe anyways. I came back another time and the same thing happened! I just feel like the cooks here do not read their order tickets, I can tell because everything I’m there the cook is always talking to some man that stands there and they just chit chat. Talk about customer service. It’s my food order your messing up here! Your a chef, be accurate! Definitely disappointed in this place. I was so excited too because the one that closed down on Freeport was my go to place. I loved it! I guess now it’s Crepeville for me since this place just lacks the service and taste. Bummer.

Came here for the first time for lunch with my friend. I got their crab cake florentine with potatoes. Their potatoes were super mushy and under seasoned, has no garlic flavor to it at all. It just screamed for help, definitely needed SALT. I couldn’t touch more than 3 bites just from how mushy it is. The hollandaise sauce has a mustard taste to it which I felt overpowered everything else. The egg was okay, wish the egg yok was more runny. My muffin was toasted extremely well. It was incredibly difficult to cut through it. The spinach was wilted from under the crab cake. Wish the spinach wasn’t under the crab cake. Overall, just wasn’t impressed at all.

If you are looking for a casual place to grab a bite to eat, this is a good spot in East Sac. The food is consistently delicious. The service, while friendly, can be slow sometimes. Then again, if you are in a hurry, maybe go to a fast food restaurant. They have take out if you are so inclined. They also have beer and wine. The wine selection isn’t too massive, but the beer choices are decent. This probably isn’t a place to go looking for an outstanding glass of wine. Just something to warm your senses. There is a nice patio that tends to be on the sunny side, but there are also large windows if you just want to watch people and cars pass by. It tends to get busy during weekend brunch, but if you go for dinner on a Saturday, you will probably be able to find a table without much effort.
