This is a great specialty grocery store. Prices can be a little high but are not completely unreasonable. The deli and the sandwiches are very reasonably priced. So far of the sandwiches, I’ve had are:
The grilled chicken breast (with smoked Gouda, lettuce, hummus, avocado, and mayo): this sandwich is so good. I think depending on the person making it, it can get soggy? The first time I got it the lettuce was wilted because I think they stuck the sandwich into whatever they use to heat it with the lettuce already inside. I just ask for the lettuce on the side now. This is maybe my favorite. Chicken is flavorful and tender.
The Dante (pork tenderloin with BBQ sauce, grilled onions, and cilantro lime slaw): I got this with mayo instead of BBQ sauce since I don’t like BBQ sauce. Wish there was some more veggies on this? Maybe a slaw but there is a lot of quality meat in this sandwich. Really good
Corti special (assortment of meats): this is maybe the best deal of all the sandwiches. It was pretty good, but maybe not my cup of tea since I tend to like hot sandwiches more. I ate half and the other half was great for lunch the next day!
Also recommended at this store: the chicken curry in the deli and Jimmy’s pâté. I also like to buy Kinder Bueno, San Pellegrino pomelo soda, and Sumol passionfruit soda here

Excellent sandwiches at very reasonable prices. We got the grilled chicken breast sandwich and had it dutch crunch bread and was probably the best sandwiches my wife and I have ever had. It had lots of avocado, smoked gouda cheese and hummus on it as well. We are looking forward to coming back here again sometime soon. They were busy, but were making sandwiches quickly. for $ 7.25 a sandwich, I felt it was a bargain. Thanks Corti Brothers!

World class grocery store. You name it, it has been personally curated by the staff to be sure that they remain a world class grocery store. Produce, deli, beverages, butcher, condiments, EVERYTHING.
Helpful hint: If you are price conscious, then you’ll notice that products you can get at any common chain store (brand name) are probably more expensive here. If you have the choice, you should be buying your toilet paper, cleaning supplies, garbage bags, paper plates, whatever, at a place with cheaper prices.

I would love to have given them a 5 star review because their food was excellent, the prices are okay and the service behind the deli counter really is slow and unsanitary. I watched the girl touch her hair three times while she made four sandwiches for me. Maybe the staff needs a refresher course on sanitary habits and the fact that they were slowing down because they were having conversations amongst themselves and not focusing on the job at hand.

I have been shopping here for the better part of 20 years. The prices have always been a notch higher than the chains, even the local chain, but the quality and very knowledgeable service is well worth the difference. Not to the extent where this is a choice for my daily groceries but more often when I am on the hunt for something special, unusual or high end.
The house made ravioli are a Christmas Eve tradition in my family. Recently I was informed these delicious pillows of goodness are the longest standing food product made in Sacramento. These ravioli rival anything I have found at any authentic Italian restaurant in the western US.
Darrell Corti can often be seen at the store. He’s an encyclopedia of knowledge and still travels the world to source food products sold at the store. The selection of imported items is beyond compare in the Sacramento area.
The deli /​prepared food case is exceptional. Some truly amazing sandwich options. The wine, spirits and beer selection have been top notch since long before this became the «new thing» for local markets. There is always a wine steward available to assist you with selecting just the right wine. There is also staff on the floor that are there to assist you with any question about any product. The meat selection is superb and includes a selection of USDA Prime beef. A cut above what you will find on the shelves of other markets. Again not a regular option for me but certainly worth the extra money for special occasions or just spoiling yourself.
I subscribe to their flyer that comes out about 3 times a year now. It is such a great read and always inspires me to try something new from one of Darrell’s recent trips or discoveries.
Truly as good as it gets.

What can I say? Corti Brothers, a Sacramento’s finest specialty grocery store since 1947 brings the finest well-​known food and drinks plus excellent selections of alcoholic drinks (popular and imported) and hard to find items like the original homemade vintage soaps. Their deli shop is magnificent here by showing their amazing prepared foods including their made to order sandwiches too, so you can munch it on at anytime! As I entered, the atmosphere and the concept totally looked fantastic from top to bottom mixing vintage and modern flare.
The employees are doing a fantastic job for making the customers like me a wonderful, amazing service! No cons at all!
Every aisle in this grocery store is very clean and tidy, so I can find the items that I want to buy which I’ve found their homemade Corti Brother’s ravioli box in frozen. I tried after I got back home, and it tasted delicious! Very flavorful and elegant! Additionally, the Michelangelo sandwich which I bought it thru their deli aisle is also tasted flawlessly good! The flavors of that specialty sandwich did top the notch by balancing the flavors perfectly! The bread of that sandwich cooked well and eatable to chew. What a great sandwich!
There’s some good amount of parking spaces here, so you can park anywhere you want. If it’s full, you can ride a bike, walk, or use public transportation easier as an alternative back up.
In the end, Corti Brothers is the most outstanding specialty grocery store that I’ve ever visited right in the East Sacramento’s neighborhood! A well, worthy visit! My rating: 5 solid stars.

You fill out a form (can do online too!), drop it off on a plate on their deli counter, then wait until they call your name out.
I opted for the Chesapeake Bay sandwich and loved every bite of the delicious salmon cake. $ 7.95 is a fantastic deal for the delicious sandwiches that are made to order.
I went around weekday lunch time and the wait was a bit long though. Not the best place to grab a bite to eat if you’re in a rush. Otherwise, DO IT!

Dumb MF’s!!! They are closed today! Unilocal says open. This is NOT A holiday, it’s a regular day. Bunch of idiots didn’t even have the courtesy of leaving an Outgoing Message of their answering machine saying that they are closed today! So many other cars drove into the parking lot. Drove from Elk Grove to there. I really hope they lose customers because of this! Taylor’s market is open today. Will start going there! Kiss off Corti Stupid Brothers!!!

One star because I can’t leave zero. They have horrible customer service. Purchased an expensive wedge of cheese from there as an accompaniment to a wine gift and looked about 5 days later to find mold. It was stored in the fridge the whole time and completely unopened. Tried to just exchange it and they wouldn’t take it back because I didn’t have the receipt, which I only threw away because it was a gift. I have been to numerous grocery stores where they let me exchange a damaged item. From now on I will be shopping at the Nugget Market which actually cares about their customers.

Loved the feeling of the market. Had some awesome sandwhiches. One corti special and a salami. Both of them very well put together a more than generous size. Definitely full when we’re done eating. The market sits in an older foundations but it fits the store just perfect. They had a large selection of meats cheese and everything else you can think of a true Italian market would have. Stop by and let your taste buds take an adventure!

Cordi Brothers is my go to store for office BBQs!
I enjoy firing up the grill whenever I can to get the team together over some burgers (and possibly some brews). Cordi isn’t necessarily the closest or the cheapest, but they have very high quality ingredients, super friendly employees, and will hand form patties on request in a jiffy! How can I go wrong here?!
I also like that they offer ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ bacon beef burger parries over the summer, and often have specialty buns for that little something extra. They alsohave an amazing deli, cheese selection, and craft beer offerings. Selection and quantities can be limited at times (I have had to buy a few different types of buns in the past since they only had 1 or 2 per type). But that’s no biggie; their selection of specialty items and service will continue to bring me back.

Stumbled on to this place one pleasant Saturday afternoon. We wanted to get some cheese and saw an Italian grocery nearby and decided to check it out. It was bustling with people and this place is pretty big.
The first thing that I noticed was that they have a HUGE alcohol section. From NUMEROUS selection of almost every type of wine possible to kraft beers to hard alcohol, this place has it all! Besides the alcohol, the deli bar was so appealing. (If I didn’t just come from lunch, I would have totally tried out their food). I saw a lot of people getting hot foods/​sandwiches.
Next time I come, however, I might get some of their meat. I saw a lot of people get their own selection of deli meats and they cut it up for you. Man, the different types of salami looked so good! Next time, next time!
I did end up getting their pizza, which was a little pricey, but the sample they cut up for me was SO good that I just had to!

The sandwiches here are amazing! Everything in their deli is super ridiculously fresh so it will be one of the best sandwiches you will have in Sacramento.
My recommendation is order online a half hour before and then it will be sitting on the counter for you to pick up. Otherwise, be prepared for a long line and a long wait. I ordered my sandwiches online and I was in and out of the store in 5 min!
The staff is all very friendly too! This is a great place to grab some lunch!

I love this Italian market. It has a huge selection of imported wines, beers, meats, and cheese. For those that have not shopped here, I highly recommend stopping by because there’s something for everyone.
I mainly stop by for their mousse truffle pâté and sandwiches. The corti special sandwich is a steal at $ 5.29 (updated price). They throw in a bunch of end cuts and it’s a little different every time you order it (sometimes they throw in prosciutto).
Grab a slip on the counter, fill it out, drop it off on the plate over the counter, and they will call your name when it’s done.
Also, pull a number for services at the counter and wait for your number to be called.

This specialty market is a city treasure with a long history here in Sacramento. In my opinion, they excel in offering a wide selection of fresh produce and fish, succulent prime beef and Berkshire pork, tasty deli meats/​cheeses as well as hard to find imported canned goods. Their wine selection is fantastic. All departments are staffed with knowledgeable, helpful people. This is a great choice when deciding where to order your holiday turkey or prime rib. Note — be prepared to pay for what you are getting — this level of quality is not inexpensive.

My boyfriend and i were craving a delicious sandwich on a lazy Sunday afternoon and we could have not asked for a better find then Corti Brothers. We had no idea what to expect when we arrived and once inside we felt like we hit the delicious food jackpot.
The grocery store has an old-​fashion high quality feel. It is a place that my foodie Grandpa could spend hours in with a wide selection of meats, cheeses, wines, beers, and alcohol. Their meat cuts looked to do for and I will be buying some for this weekends cooking.
Once we found the deli with the sandwich selections we had a hard time choosing from all the delicious sandwich selections. I ended up ordering the Chicken breast sandwich which was divine. It consisted of grilled chicken breast, hummus, avocado, and gruyère cheese. This has had to be one of the most delicious sandwiches I have ever eaten. The hummus was also perfect, it was not to salty and it did not overtake the whole sandwich like I have had before. They had a wide variety of bread selection as well. I felt like they truly made my sandwich with love. I would come back any day for a sandwich.
After receiving our sandwiches we went over to the drinks and beverage selection and were able to find unique beers individually since we were not in the mood for a 6 pack of beer or anything larger. This was overall a great experience and I will be going back. I am looking forward to bringing my Grandfather there as well, it was a great place with delicious sandwiches and a great selection of items.

Having grown up frequenting Corti Brothers (even when it was at Arden Fair!!!), I’m a tad partial. The façade of the store looks like it hasn’t changed in a few decades, which may lead many people to pass it quietly. Too bad for them.
I’m kicking myself for not having ordered a sandwich to go. I came in for some deli meat and left with an additional treat from the case– truffle pâté!
It is sad that I’ve moved further away from this place than convenient to frequent it, but I have. If this place was closer to me, I’d be there probably more often than necessary.

Getting ready for a barbecue tonight, so of course I have to stop by this’s lace and pick up some steak to throw on the grill.
This place has the best selection of steak that I have found in the area!

Doesn’t get better than the $ 4.99 corti special sandwich for lunch! Piled high with various meats and roll of your choice (but Dutch crunch is the only obvious choice methinks). Order ahead online and pick up your customized Sammie in as early as thirty mintutes! If ordering in store, Fill out a sandwich order form to order a sandwich — no need to take a number unless you also want something from their deli. Their red potato salad with egg and their clam chowder when available are both crazy divine. They have lots of fun specialty drinks you can pair with your lunch, though be prepared to spend a pretty penny.
The customer service has been decent at the deli, and average at best at the cashier. There is a particular cashier who has actually never said a word to me nor smiled during our 2 – 3 transactions… So awkward.

Based solely on their deli – I’ve been coming to Corti Brothers ever since I was in high school, 10+ years ago, to fulfill all my sandwich needs! The meat they offer is dangerously addicting as I can devour bags of this stuff for days on end! My MUST HAVES include their turkey (thin cut and not dry at all! Also comes with a peppery/​garlic «crust» around each slice), mortadella (similar to Bologna but 10 000 times better!), pastrami (thin cut and reminds me of corned beef for some reason. Not too salty and has a nice peppery crust around each slice as well), and Swiss cheese (THICK cuts of Swiss with a nice sour taste to it!)
Although this place is a bit pricey – IT’S WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! If you don’t want to splurge on pounds and pounds of deli meat they also create sandwich masterpieces! (Loaded with meat and all the fixings!) They even cater AND you can order online! So, there’s really no excuse NOT to try this place! You’ll be amazed and probably never want to eat another Subway or Togo’s sandwich ever again!
