Me and my son came here on a whim and ordered bagels. We both got blueberry. They tastes SO fresh and tender. The flavor and texture was really good! They were generous in size compared to other bakeries/coffee shops I have been too. I also kept eyeing the almond croissant in the case– that thing was ginormous and looked so good! Will have to try that next time!

Prices are great. Food is good. I got a café au lait and a breakfast burrito. The woman with the beautiful style helped me craft my burrito how I would like it. And it was delicious. The café au lait tasted a little burnt but it was pretty good. Everything came pretty quickly and hot. I would definitely come here again for smiles and more!

Ordered the Cheese Bagel sandwich with sausage and pepper jack and a black coffee. Great customer service very fast and was good amount of cheese but wasn’t a spicy pepper jack so I will probably go with cheddar next time. Coffee was good ordered the medium roast which was smooth and ample amount of acid, I love a good cup of black coffee and theirs is above average for sure. Will be back to try other items on menu. TIP Tuesdays Carnitas breakfast burritos.

I eat a breakfast croissant sandwich here every morning. I always order the same thing; turkey, egg, cheddar on croissant. They have never disappointed me. They make a good coffee too. Not to many places can make fresh breakfast sandwiches without a microwave, this place does and that’s a big reason why I always start my day here.

As a sac state alum I love that they brew java city!(The owner went to sac state and up until about a year ago all the coffee shops on campus were java city). This place is super close to my work and they make great espresso drinks and sandwiches. Plus they have a nice outdoor patio. Only complaints would be that they always want to put whip cream on my drinks even when I specifically say no whip cream and most of the time their wifi doesn’t work. Overall great café though!

Stopped by here with my dad this morning for a quick breakfast. I ordered an asiago tomato bagel with egg pepper jack cheese and ham. Happily took it out took a bites. Tasted ok nothing to rave about. Idk why but I flipped my bagel over and indented into the bagel there was something that resembled a pretty large piece of hardened mucus with a nose hair in it… yea. I think we all know what a booger looks like. That’s what it was. We didn’t finish our food. Trash canned it. People working there are great but I don’t see myself stopping there again

I came in here today for coffee. Service was ok. Place is clean. Took a bit for my mocha to be made but then realized the girl making it was being trained. One of the best mochas ive ever had. Will come back and try other coffee’s. The sandwiches didnt look out of the ordinary but i cant judge that since I only had a mocha.

I decided to come here on a Friday around 6:30 a.m. because I was looking for a new breakfast place to try before heading to work. This is the definitely the kind of place that mainly attracts people who work in the immediate area. It’s located right at the corner of Del Paso Road and Northgate Blvd and the area is full of small industrial businesses. The service was noticeably friendly, but the menu was very standard fare. I ended up getting a Parfait for $ 3.75 which I thought was a pretty decent price. It tasted fine and was worth the price, but was nothing I would call gourmet. They have both indoor and outdoor seating on the patio. I chose a table indoors and while the atmosphere didn’t make me want to stay, it wasn’t uncomfortable either. I would say check this place out if you work nearby, otherwise you aren’t really missing out on anything.

Service is always the best — great coffee and their sandwiches are the best value around — but the people are what makes this place special

For the past 3 years I have been coming here. It’s right by my job. I even let all my co workers know about the place and brought them business. Food And coffee is good. But they have messed up mine as well as other co workers orders like on a daily. They messed my order up several times but I never complained. Except for this one time I did. I ordered a red bull blended drink. I called it in. My co worker heard me say I was going to order one so she said. Make sure u tell them blended she said when she orders hers theybdidnt. So any who I get my drink and it no where near blended. so I call them let them know. They say ok come back tomorrow. So I come back tomorrow. I called it in ordered it BLENDED and got a breakfast sandwich. When I went there to go pick it up. The owner went off on me. She said her employees are always right and I never said blended. I said look it’s not a big deal I’ll pay for it. But I know what I ordered. I mean think about it the picture in the place is clearly a blended drink. But what ever. She wouldn’t let me leave I explained to her that they messed my orders up several times but I never complained about I just took what ever it was. As I was leaving she gave me my drink and hands me the wrong sandwich she then said oh wait that ones not yours lol… Anyways I will not be going there any more I was a loyal customer for 3 years and to be treated like that and embarrassed she lost me And a few other co workers.

Nice little café located in a business park. I ordered a breakfast bagel sandwich with egg, cheese and bacon. You could tell that the bagel was sourced from a bakery and wasn’t store-bought and I could see the ingredients all being assembled in the back after I ordered. It was delivered to me both hot and tasty. The service was very nice as well. I wanted a sweetened ice tea. I was told that their ice tea comes unsweetened, but they could add any number of things to sweeten it. After some helpful suggestions I landed on peach syrup. She made my ice tea and then told me to try it and see if it was sweet enough, if not she could always add more. It was perfect as it was and I appreciated the willingness to get it right.

Breakfast sausage burrito is on point. The wait is a bit but that’s because it’s made fresh. Worth the wait I’d say. Peanut butter cookie is also very good

Place is not bad… service is a bit slow… But food is decent… People were nice upon greet, however they don’t pay much attention to you when you leave… Most places will thank you for coming…

Came here one time. It appeared to be an adorable little place. Was hoping to come back again since it’s so close to my job. The employees were nice, unfortunately I noticed a huge hair in the fruit cup that I had purchased. Ate one piece off of the top, saw the hair at the bottom and tossed it. A sad waste of fruit. :/

I used to frequent their old location at Manzanita & Madison. Came here once after they first moved, 2010 I believe and hadn’t been back since, as I don’t live in the area. Drove by on my way to a job interview and decided to stop in today. I ordered a breakfast burrito with sausage and asked for pepperjack cheese instead of the mixed shredded cheese. They were very accommodating and even added Tapatio to it, at my request. It took about 5 – 10 minutes, but well worth it, as they make it fresh. Not to mention the potato in their breakfast burrito is actually hash browns. It was the best breakfast burrito I’d ever had. Gooey cheese, a little bit of spice and piping hot! They even offer chorizo for a meat option for the breakfast burrito and they can make it for you in a bowl, instead of a tortilla. I spoke briefly with Nuvia, the owner. I was surprised she’d remembered me after all these years. I was happy to hear that Coffee Break is doing well, even catering for the businesses in the area. They also do call ahead orders, so if you’re low on time, call ahead and your food can be ready for you by the time you get there. Nuvia also told me they do offer almond milk as an option for mochas and the like. She even let me leave some of my business cards there. All in all, fabulous customer service and tasty food. I’m so glad I stopped by. Hope I get the job at the company nearby I interviewed with so I can frequent Coffee Break more. As I’ve said in previous reviews, SUPPORTYOURLOCALBUSINESSESSACRAMENTO!!!

I have been coming here for years n years(since it was a java city & they roasted next door). It’s always good. Nice atmosphere, I like the patio, they have free WiFi, and offer SN&R, local news, etc. It’s also locally owned and operated. can’t go wrong with that!

The name pretty much says it all! This place is off the beaten path and inconspicuously located among undesignated buildings. The hours are limited to normal business hours during the week and mornings on the weekends. I do wish they were open later on the weekends. The selection of coffee and tea is simple and well made. The prices are reasonable and definitely comparable to any Starbucks. They have a pastry case as well as a grab n’ go for fruit, salads, sandwiches and other quick options. Seating is located both inside and on a small patio outside should you decide to stick around with your cup of Joe. Overall, this is not a bad stop for a coffee break.
