A hotel I never stayed the night in has charged me for my security deposit; $ 100. I never slept in the hotel, used any of the facilities in my room, and left after only hours, in fear of my life. I tried to get a refund, but could not. Now, I see they also did not credit me my security deposit. This has been a nightmare and going through the steps of litigation. When I checked in, the morning clerk was locked inside due to a homeless man wandering the grounds with a smile on his face licking his lips at women. There’s no security. No one knows when check-in is or HOW to check you in. In this case, «Family-Owned» must mean we let family members with no idea of what they’re doing work here. My room was filthy and febreezed to the point of vomiting. Unlike what’s listed on the website, there is NO microwave, a tv you can’t use because there’s no remote and you can’t reach it, and NO working WiFi. When I went to my room, a man just stood in the parking lot and watched me unload my car. The ppl in the room on the end were outside their room smoking a joint. I left, trying to find another hotel. When I came back, a sign on my door said they were turning the water off the next day. I tried to get my money back for the upcoming night, but the night clerk literally gave a «$%%& you, lady» shrug and sat down and went back to his computer. By this point, I’m almost in tears. When I left, the same room with the joint had two guys sitting outside smoking something out of a glass pipe. Yes… a glass pipe. The clerk just walked down the way and talked and laughed with them. Apparently, everyone else in town already knows what’s going on at this hotel, as there were only 5 guests there. It was a NIGHTMARE.
