I’m very disappointed in this place! Came for bottomless mimosa to celebrate a friends birthday and after 3 mimosas the waiter tells us they ran out of champagne. How are you going to charge us for a bottomless mimosa and tell us you ran out of champagne. Would not ever come back to this place again. First and last time.

My friends and I go here for lunch once a month or so because they’re fast, friendly and have a good variety. Enough healthy items to choose from for any meal but they don’t have Coke products lol

My previous 5 star review has sadly gone down to a 1 star review. I didn’t post my last bad visit there, so now I’m feeling compelled to do so. Not only did I spend $ 10+ on my BLT that had a total of 2 ½ slices of bacon on it, which half was pretty much raw, my husbands breakfast was barely Luke warm. Cold biscuits n gravy sucks!

Brookfield’s is definitely an excellent place to eat. It’s a family eatery where you go and each time you feel like your visiting family and enjoying a great meal. The staff at this location is amazing and really don’t just bring you food but treat you so kindly and take good care of you. I’ve been coming to this location since I was like 6 years old and the quality has only gotten better. I’ve made great friends here and can name so many high quality employees who again are like friends. We had Breauna and Stephen today and they were awesome and on fire! It was a great meal and highly recommend a visit. Once you go there once, you’ll always come back.

Went here for dinner. I should have come here for breakfast! The dinner was average I had a turkey sandwich and my husband had a steak. We are going back for breakfast. Bonus: they make their own sauces!!!

Just ate here and was pretty disappointed. The staff was very polite and helpful, but the food wasn’t anything great. I was searching for a great«mom and pop» breakfast spot and thought I would give it a try. Breakfast burrito: scrambled egg and slices of deli ham(yes like for sandwiches) in the inside. Huge disappointment. Breakfast Potatoes: Boring, really wasn’t anything you couldn’t do at home. Salsa: was great — rich and full of flavor Belgian Waffle: Nothing special, nothing you couldn’t do at home. Sausage and bacon were good, cooked just right. Coffee: it was ok, nothing special. Overall this place was ok. But was truly disappointed in the breakfast burrito. Deli ham?! Really?

We found this treasure on I80 coming back from Lake Tahoe. Stopped by to have a bite to eat for breakfast as my husband and I played breakfast roulette and we found this place and we were pleasantly surprised. It is very popular with the locals. I had the waffle plate with eggs and sausages A+ A + A + coffee is regular. My husband had the steak sandwich and fries and WOW! IT was delicious. Our waitress was being trained and she did an outstanding job :) Attentive and will definitely recommend this place for anyone traveling in or out of town. Thanks guys great service will stop by again on our next vacation WoOhOo!

The things that Brookfields does well, they do really, really well. When I come across those items, I always have to look around to make sure I’m still basically in a glorified diner. Yep, that’s still a counter with stools up there. The occasional waitress will still call you Hon. The food’s still cheap and the coffee’s still hot even if it’s 4 pm. This joint is always jumping, which tells you a lot about the quality of the food. There’s plenty of low priced eateries around these parts, but this is the only one that has a full parking lot every time I drive by. There’s plenty of seating so wait times are usually short. The first item that sold me on Brookfields was their French dip. This is one of the few places where you can order the meat rare and actually have it come out that way. The beef and au jus are some of the most flavorful I’ve had. They’ll also add melted cheese and sautéed mushrooms to make it an unforgettably tasty creation. Just thinking about it makes me want to hop on 80 and take a drive out to Madison right now! I tore myself away from the French dip one day to get the«Dads» burger, topped with mushrooms, jack, and cheddar cheese. Another solid choice. Once again, when medium-rare was specified it was delivered. Well-done fries actually appeared to have a little extra crisp to them. It always seems like if you make a request, they do their best to be accommodating. We came in for breakfast recently and found another gem. Cinnamon swirl French toast may have me driving out here every weekend. Wow, what a decadent treat! If you have a major sweet tooth this is a must-try. Making French toast out of a cinnamon roll is just brilliant. The edges get a little crisp, while the butter and syrup sinks in between the layers… so delicious. Maybe it was because we were both spoiled by the unbelievable French toast, but both of our egg dishes were a little underwhelming. I had the country breakfast, consisting of a split biscuit topped with sausage patties, gravy, and two eggs. Everything was cooked perfectly, it was just a little bland. The BF went for the SF Joe’s and encountered the same problem. Grabbing a sample, I was surprised to not taste any cheese in this dish. Seems like that would kick up the flavor and texture. Some added jack or cheddar will definitely be on our list of requests if that gets ordered again. With the exception of one odd visit, service here is phenomenal. Casual, friendly, and attentive, they strive to make a very diverse clientele satisfied. I like that there’s a little testimonial at each table listing all the items made from scratch. It’s pretty much everything on the menu. There’s also a little note from the owners saying how grateful they are to be in the community and how they hope to make each customer happy. From the looks of the parking lot, I’d say they’re doing a fantastic job.

We just moved to CA two weeks ago and have eaten here three times already! Great food, great prices, great service. What else can anyone ask for?

I’ve had the Greek lemon soup, meat loaf, and the flat iron steak. All were solid meals(I ordered the value meals and still had«to-go» boxes) the cheesecake and carrot cake were awesome. Plan on taking dessert to-go because you won’t finish your plate. They’re slightly overpriced by a dollar or two for their entrees but the food and service will keep me returning.

Went here for breakfast. I had the one, two, three waffle breakfast with bacon. It was delicious. My partner had an artichoke omlet, which was also very tasty. The service was good and so was the food. This wasn’t my first time here and it won’t be my last. I usually don’t give five stars, but I will for this establishment! Everything was great and I wouldn’t change a thing.

Decided to try again… and it was very good. Definitely redeemed and will come back again when we are in the area. Service was so-so but it was crazy with all tables pretty much filled… so definitely to be expected and not a server/kitchen fault. Still wish it was a tad warmer. I get why everyone working wears long sleeves. Bring a sweater.

Exceptional service, friendly staff, yummy food for the whole family to enjoy. Only took 12 minutes for our food to come out. Great family friendly restaurant. The kids got crayons and an activity page. Family establishment. The smiley fries that came with my son’s Mac n cheese were cute. I think it was Kraft Mac n cheese. The calories listed on the menu for the dishes was very helpful and a nice touch. I’d love to give this place 5 stars if they upgrade their ingredients to organic, non-gmo, and organic pastured meats and dairy. This was our first time dining here, just passing through between Tahoe &SF, which we do quite often! Thank you!

I usually go to Brookfields in Roseville but was in the area. It looked pretty much the same and the menu is the same of course. I was really in the mood for some pasta. Surprisingly did not have much of a selection. Ordered the spaghetti with meat balls that came with side of garlic toast. It was Meh, okay. Often diner type places always overcook their pasta but it was also only $ 8.99 so you get what you pay for. Service was good. What I really come for is the strawberry shortcake dessert. They are the only place I know that does it right. The cake part is like a homemade biscuit and they use real whip cream topping. Brookfields is generally good with good prices to match but dont expect them to knock your socks off. Easiest way to grade them is a strong B.

The food was so good! I had the Reuben sandwich and my husband had the Buffalo Bill steak sandwich. My sandwich was one of the best Reubens I’ve had… EVER! But the best part was dessert! They offer petite sizes, so if you want something sweet but don’t want a huge portion, it’s the best way to end your meal.

Just checking in gave us a free app. You can’t beat that! Plus, the appetizer is huge!(see picture) Food arrived as ordered. It’s a coffee shop feel. An older crowd. The food was made to order. The fries etc were fresh. The milk shake was super yummy. Worth a try. Ignore the coffee shop feel.

Our visits have been off lately. For one thing, I am going to avoid this place at all costs on Sundays. It took us nearly 20 minutes to order and took a very long time for our food to come out. During our last visit, I was not impressed with their spaghetti with meat sauce. The visit before that, their beef stroganoff was off too. Although the food was off, our service was great. My recommendations after so many visits here are the soups, pancakes, and meatloaf.

Food was great I ordered the French dip with added cheese. The sandwich was a bit on the smaller size but was plenty to fill me up. The meat was tender and flavorful the bread had a nice crispness to it. The waitress(Rica) was great very attentive and went beyond to accommodate our needs. They also honored the Unilocal coupon even though I only ordered the regular Mocha and not the Mocha Freeze.

Once again, this review is based more on customer service and less about the food. In all honesty, the food is 4 stars. I do not have any food complaints and everything has been good to great… but the service. OHTHESERVICE! When the SO and I first walked in, it was like being in the twilight zone. Why do you ask? –We were greeted by a super friendly hostess at 8:30 am. Chipper, happy to see us. We were seated immediately and within 1 minute another friendly face, our server came by and offered us coffee. Yes please! One more minute, here comes the coffee. Wha??? –After looking at each other in wonder,(when we get brunch/breakfast downtown, it usually takes 5 – 10 minutes to get coffee, or someone’s attention), we look at the HUGE menu. Everything you can possibly want on a breakfast/brunch menu plus specials. Having never eaten here before, we quizzed the server on different items. Rather than be annoyed, she was cheerful and happy to give us details. HAPPYTO! I know I am getting exaggerated, but when you get used to blasé service, it is so refreshing to have a nice exchange. –The server was on point– making sure our coffee and waters’ were filled and bringing us copious amount of cream and milk(my picky request). The OTHER servers would also check in, offering coffee or water. It is a team environment, and everyone, and I mean everyone we encountered, was friendly. The SO and I would look at each other, whispering, «Why are they so nice?». –Checkout was easy and quick, and the hostess chatted with us explaining that most of the staff has been with the restaurant for years. Good management breeds great customer service, right? Kudos to the management, staff, chefs and everyone who was friendly. Twilight zone is right! –The calorie count is on the menu– I personally like that and they servers always say, if we don’t have it on the menu, we can make it for you. Cool. FOOD: The SO ordered the southwestern burrito– filled with meat, cheese eggs and more– which came with choice of potatoes and bread. Sour cream, salsa and avocado. HUGE. He loved every bite. I ordered an egg white omelette with artichokes, spinach, roasted red peppers, mushrooms, feta cheese and tomato’s, sub fruit on the side. The eggs were nicely cooked with a TON of veggies inside, and fresh fruit. Fresh, not over soggy melon cubes, but banana, strawberries, blueberries, grapes and super fresh honeydew. I was in heaven and even had some leftover. Confession, the side of gravy is $ 0.57 and comes in a huge gravy boat. Yes, my breakfast was on the healthy side so I decided I had to try the gravy. WOW. Homemade gravy– thick, rich and filled with that meat I cannot admit to eating… fantastic. If you have had the gravy at a few places that specialize in it, this is just as tasty! So cheap! So gooooooood. We have been back for happy hour bites(from 2pm-6pm) and the savings are tremendous. I have had the artichoke dip, chicken tenders, street tacos, bbq sliders, and spicy chicken. Everything is handmade down to the breading on the chicken. Wonderful prices and they have a late happy hour from 9pm-closing as well. Beer and wine too. After eating here a handful of times, the customer service is still amazing. I truly enjoy eating here… good food and a wonderful staff. We have paid twice as much for a brunch in a «hip» place with small plates of food and surly service. I guess it pays to eat in the suburbs!
