A priceless resource for those in northern California with an inability to read print material due to visual disabilities OR physical limitations. The Braille and Talking Book Library(BTBL) offers spoken and braille books for free. Of even greater value are the staff of «reader advisors» Once a person is registered to be a patron of the BTBL, they are assigned a reader advisor who will help them discover material that will interest them. These advisors are all good people. I used to work at the State Library and know many of the staff in BTBL. All a caring and knowledgeable group. If you know anyone who can not read conventional print material, refer them to the BTBL or a similar facility in their area. Your tax dollars put to excellent use.
