We had the great experience of having Michael Gaurnier perform our home inspection. In all aspects of the job, thorough, professional, excellent communicator, honest, giving practical advice, and showing great patience and knowledge in executing the inspection. We have sold five homes over the last 15 years, and Michael outshines all the other inspectors to a superlative degree. He is one of the most trustworthy individuals you could ever hope to meet in your life. If there was a 10 star rating, that would be closer to what he truly deserves.

If this is the group that did my home inspection, they need to update their inspectors with local building codes. He had me calling the city and talking to the supervisor of the building inspectors to find out if my HVAC was installed correctly. I had the final papers from the installation and I wanted proof that I didn’t need to replace the flex duct on my unit. The inspector nit picked over minor electrical switch function. I swear he loosen the drain under the bathroom sink just so I would need to call a plumber. While the inspector was still in my home I turned the nut on the drain and tightened the connection and fixed the leak. There was no leaking drain two days before he showed up. Just be prepared for a lot of stupid repairs.

We bought a house in 2 months ago. The home inspection company was chosen out of ‘recommended vendors list’ given us by the realtor as we didn’t know anybody around. Inspector they sent didn’t know the basics of more than few areas he inspected, when made aware of it, he wrote up everything under the sun on his report so they wont be responsible for what ever went wrong in the house. To pour salt on our wounds, our home warranty was bought by the same company by the seller. 3 days after we moved, the pluming started backing up, and most of the electric outlets were not working either. When called upon for the warranty issues, they denied both claims amounting to over 15,000 dollars of repair work claiming they do not cover any of it. Apparently the money we pay to buy warranty with them is good just for NO problems type peace of mind. God forbid if anything actually goes wrong, you are on your own. I would not recommend this company to an enemy leave alone a friend.

I used Michael Gaurnier and he was absolutely outstanding. EXTREMELY thorough and explained everything very clearly. He found issues that I would have regretted not knowing about. The sellers ended up doing about $ 6,000 in repairs. This saved me big time. I would highly recommend this company and especially Michael Gaurnier as an inspector!
They are a great inspection company. There reports are super comprehensive.
I’ve seen a few inspection reports and non compares to theirs.
