WARNING!!! BEWARE!!! The customers service in this establishment is pathetic and the return policy anti-​consumer. BUYER BEWARE!!! I’ll spend my hard-​earned $$$ elsewhere… like a business that wasn’t my repeat business.

I would just like to say Michael helped me out with buying the right boots, he was very helpful and they have a great selection of boots. I would definitely recommend this place!

I ordered a hat online… even though last time I ordred online I said never again because of the slooooow shipping… but I gave a second chance got the hat… spent 10 bucks extra to ship the hat two day air… well it’s been over a week nothing! I can’t say anything about in store experience never been but they need to get their shipping down… or no one will order from them… and if ya can’t fix the shipping problem don’t offer it or let people know it’s going to take extra long…

Yet again, Barebones Workwear manages to royally eff things up. After a debacle earlier this summer, with one West Sac employee giving wrong information regarding Tribe points, we went to the Madison store tonight to buy Christmas presents expecting to have credits on our Tribe membership available to use. Much to our surprise, neither my husband nor myself had a Tribe account on file. After spending thousands of dollars in this store, being a Tribe member for more than 2 years, and expecting at least $ 40 in credits to use during this visit, we have once again been highly disappointed with the way that Barebones handles their customers. Excuses were given that there was a «system change» earlier this year and it’s «a big fight» but that doesn’t negate the fact that we joined the Tribe for the membership incentives and were not able to utilize them when we visited the store. If not for the fact that a family member wanted a specific item from the Madison store, we would not ever go back to any of the stores. It doesn’t help that the owner flat out lied to my husband during the earlier encounter about receiving additional compensation for the communication mix-​up.
I’m all for supporting the local, small businesses but when you are lied to and and cheated out of things promised to you, it’s easier, more cost-​effective, actually more convenient to wait 2 days and order from Amazon. Get your shit together, Barebones!

It took three weeks to ship my order! I had to contact them to get my tracking number even thought they told me they would let me know when it shipped! They told me NOTHING. I didn’t know if shipped or if it was on back order! It ended up up taken two weeks to hear back if it shipped or not! I received no info on it even thought they email me back saying they would let me know when it shipped and how long it would take! I was very upset with them!

Great store I shop here with my husband because he works in construction and I’m a nurse so we can both get our work clothes all in one place and he’s not just siting around waiting for me to try in scrubs he can keep busy in the men’s section! Reasonable priced some stores will charge an extra 5 dollars for koi scrubs but they are true to their pricing. I minuses one star because it can get pretty expensive in here and they don’t have a lot of discounts or sales, wish they did :/

My significant other shops here an this review is for what he experienced. I have shopped with him before and seen only helpful associates.
He needed to purchase new Carhartt bibs and had bought new boots about three months ago. He mentioned while he was there that the boots were already torn to pieces and they suggested he bring them back.
SO that’s just what he did~ and ended up with a brand new pair as an even exchange. I suppose they’ll send the product back to the vendor/​company and everything, but it’s nice that they stand behind the products they sell… especially since most things here aren’t cheap!

I went into the store looking for some good work boots to give my husband for his work in hvac. Patrick helped me find the right boots to get him. All I can say is that for my husband not being there I was definitely led in the right direction! The prices are not bad and they have quality brands. My husband is so excited to finally have nice comfortable boots to wear for work! I will definitely be shopping there again! And did i mention, the customer service is wonderful!

Have shopped at three of the Bare Bones locations and have nothing but good to say about all of them. Staff seems very oriented to helping you find what you need –your requirements seem to take precedence over their profit (or commission-​somehow I have the impression the staff is not on commission but I could be wrong).
This is a business I’m happy to patronise and recommend strongly to any in need of work-​wear.

Some of the staff gets a 1 star rating and others a 5 star. I have spent about $ 700 a year in the last 5 years, in this place and have had very mixed experiences in here. I have ordered boots here and had no problems than the last time it took over 6 monthes to get them and they wanted to charge me agian even though I had prepaid them. The guy at the counter acted like I was a bother to him.
Other times everything has been great.

Certain staff members friendly, courteous, and helpful. Others downright irritating. All telephone numbers listed for this place go straight to voice mail during business hours. Special ordering items is a hassle, so if you don’t see it on the shelf, forget it. I ordered two separate items at separate times and had distinctly different problems each time.
The in-​store selection is pretty good for a small place. Prices are average. Convenient location. If you need quality workwear, this is worth a look.
