This salon used to be called Donna’s Nails. I used to be a fairly regular customer, but it seems like they just keep going downhill. I really want to support them since they are located in my neighborhood, but I’m sad to say I probably won’t be returning. While they’ve given the walls a fresh coat of paint, the interior still seems dingy and old, and I always wonder how sanitary the tubs and tools are. Last time I visited, I got the vibe that nobody really wanted to give me a pedicure. The employees are friendly, but seem like they would rather sit around than actually work and earn my money. I waited with my feet soaking for a good 10 minutes while two employees sat around waiting for a third employee to arrive to give me a pedicure. The pedicurist did a good job at cleaning/prepping my feet, but the massage I received was sad. It lasted a good 8 – 10 minutes, but basically consisted of her«petting» the top of my feet and calves– she never once actually massaged my feet like I had hoped for. The nail polish options are dated, and the polish job I received was on the sloppy side. Their prices are good– a basic pedicure is $ 20, which is cheaper than most salons. I recently paid $ 25 at Blossom Nails(a nice, clean, modern nail salon at Arden and Eastern) and will probably make that my new go-to salon. I’m really sorry to have to leave this review, but I feel like I’ve given this place plenty of chances :(
