This was my first time trying this place after all these years of walking by it at the mall. I usually like to go to the other pretzel place for my pretzel cravings. I thought it was just ok. They didn’t have the pretzels I wanted(cheddar stuffed or plain bites). I would’ve had to wait for them, so I just got the salted bites that were already available. What I didn’t care for was the cheese that you can order for dipping. It was very processed and barely resembled actual cheese. I definitely prefer wetzel’s pretzels cheese dips, and I think their pretzels are better too, for that matter. I’m also not too thrilled about how much it costs for a cup of pretzel bites, at either place.

Auntie Annes is located right next to the store Minute Man, right near Sears on the upper mall. I have been coming here a few times every month since I work in the mall, but don’t see myself as a regular customer. Service: two stars, I hate using the term, «hit or miss» but that’s exactly what you can expect from the service here. Some employees will go out of their way to explain their apps/rewards programs/ask if you have a punch coupon that you’d like to use, etc. However, those employees have become more scarce in most recent visits to Auntie Annes. You literally feel like your just another transaction and thats honestly one of the worst feelings when you’re deciding at lunchtime what to grab. Quality: four stars, I love the variety of pretzels, lemonades, and other bites that AA’s has! They even have hot dogs, cheese stuffed bites, and my personal favorite cinnamon pretzel nuggets. However, these delights can be pricey! One cup of the cinnamon pretzel nuggets comes out to about $ 5. For a once-in-a-while mall patron, they might not paying for something so unique and only limited to malls. I however as a mall employee wouldn’t come here regularly and pay for a meal but receive a snack. Ambiance: N/A, It is a stall/booth in the mall. The décor and theme of AA’s is ok. Sometimes long lines can form and takes a while to go down but most of the time, it’s one of the shortest lines as compared to a probably a major competitor, Cinnabon which is just a few doors down. All in all, I don’t like to «yuck your yum» but for me AA’s is something that I’ll grab very rarely. The value in my honest opinion isn’t there but the food, in my opinion, serves as a novelty for mall patrons. Feeling like a pretzel or something unique to the mall, but maybe don’t wanna wait in the line for Cinnabon or Hot Dog on a Stick? Auntie Anne’s may be your spot!

I love Auntie Anne’s! The toasted almond pretzel is my favorite. The toasted almond pretzel isn’t too sweet nor is it bland. It has the right amount of sweetness. As for the sour cream and onion, the flavoring is decent. I don’t like how the flavoring is just simply powdered sour cream and onion thrown on top but if you’re hungry then it’ll taste 100089x better lol. My sister and I got another pretzel so we can get the buy three get one free deal. We ended up getting the small pretzel bites with cheese and it was disappointing. The cheese was thick and still«solid.» I would’ve preferred melted cheese. Food-wise – I would say this place is a decent/okay place to grab a snack at the mall. Other than food, the employees here are great! Super friendly and social!

Patrice(the manager) stopped what she was doing to help us even though it was the end of the night and I’m sure she was busy. She was funny and really sweet. Thank you!!! :)

I really love pretzels and have usually had good experiences at any of those stands. Well this visit produced an old dry gross pretzel. Probably not going back here. They make fresh pretzels but that’s for show. Customers get old crap. Yuck

Just drove all the way from Elk Grove to purchase pretzels from this place. At 8:35p.m. they are apparently too close to close at 9:00 p.m. to make any pretzels. When I asked the manager how long it takes to make five pretzels, she said 10 minutes. Then she said, «actually, I used all the pretzel dough, so I can’t make you any pretzels.» Lazy workers. I will never come here again.

I usually go here to get the sour cream pretzels with the cheese sauce. However today I received bad customer service from one of the employee. She basically took my order rush me out and gave me watery cheese. As I sat down on the chair to enjoy my snack with my niece I open the cheese dip and it was so watery I had to walk all the way back and ask for new ones. She didn’t say sorry but instead grab a spatula and stir the cheese sauce then hand me two new dips –___-’ she also charge me for water I didn’t notice it until I looked at the receipt later on. So make sure you look at your receipt before leaving!

I absolutely love this place! No doubt, their handmade pretzels are super delish! Every so often when I do visit Arden to browse/shop, I usually stop here to grab their mini pretzel dogs for the daughter & sour garlic pretzel w/two side of nacho cheese. Ohh and two water cups. Today when we stop by, we were greeted by a cashier. She seem a lil tired and bothered.(She was there by herself.) She took our order and said thank you and gave us our order. We sat down and open the nacho sauce and it was very watery. We had to go back and exchange for another one. She apologized & explain that it wasnt properly mixed. The mini pretzel dogs comes with 10 – 12 pieces. It’s good enough for two ppl. The sour garlic pretzel is very salty. But that’s the way I like it. Dip it w/nacho cheese to even out the taste.

Ok I have to say this is the first time I have tried a pretzel here but I had a coupon for buy one get one free and thought I would try them out. I love traditional pretzels with the crisp outside and airy inside slightly chewy and just buttery and salty. Well that isn’t what I got here. My pretzel was rather tough and chewy and didn’t seem fresh at all. I was really bummed out I thought I would be getting something wonderful since it is an actual pretzel place. I mean the ones they have at Sams are way better than this! How is that possible? Well you live and you learn, and these things aren’t cheap either about $ 3.50 each at Sams club they have them for $ 1 and they come right out of the pizza oven hot and fresh! Not sure if I just got a pretzel that had been sitting out under the lights too long or if thats the usual texture but I did not like it at all, the flavor was just OK the texture was entirely too tough and it didn’t have an outer shell at all. In my opinion they are over priced and not worth it at all. I’ve had better pretzels that you buy in the freezer section and make at home. Real disappointment for me I thought I was going to be in for a real treat, not so.

Nancy was so rude to her coworkers! It was very unprofessional of her. My girlfriend and I witnessed her yell. When I say yell, I mean raised voice, extended arms, red faced YELL, at the other girls working there. I wanted to say something to her, because her attitude towards her coworkers was horrible. I was able to see Nancy’s name, but wasn’t able to determine her rank at this location, and didn’t want Nancy to retaliate against the other workers when we left. If Angel hadn’t been the one to take our order I would’ve asked for a refund and left. I don’t mean to be «that Unilocal reviewer», but someone should do something about that work environment, because that’s not healthy or acceptable. Oh, and the pretzels were fresh and amazing as always. Buy 3 get the 4th free!

What can I say? I’m a fan. This chain is always at your local mall and you already know what to expect. This visit we had the mini hot dog bites with salsa cheese. I have to say that the cheese was a little weird, but the you can never go wrong with a pretzel dog. Overall the store gets 3 stars for being your basic chain and for getting the same service and taste that you know you’re going to get.

Best mall pretzel! I prefer this pretzel place over Pretzel Time. The pretzels are soft, chewy and the underside is slightly crispy. I love mine simple with butter and salt. They are about $ 3.09/pretzel and so good! I prefer getting the pretzel bites!

Well, how does one review a mall pretzel? I guess in comparison to it’s sole competitor, Pretzel Time. In my humble opinion, Auntie Anne’s beats the pants off Pretzel Time. How do I know? I ate a pretzel from each the other day within the span of like twenty minutes. How’s that for critical authority, huh? They actually roll out the pretzels in front of you at Aunti Anne’s, for one. I don’t know where the pretzels come from at Pretzel Time(What exactly is Pretzel Time? Is this something like Hammer Time?) And Auntie Anne’s taste like butter. I’m not sure if a pretzel is supposed to taste like a croissant, but this one does. So take it from me, mall pretzel afficionados. Skip the rightly banished to an inlet on the first floor Pretzel Time and head up to the next level at Auntie Anne’s. Make sure to avoid the Cinnabon on the way.
