BUYER BEWARE!!!
I hired this guy to put in my TDI motor on my 99 VW Beetle.
He made me wait a total of 21 hours over 3 times when he said the job was done. It wasn’t.
I towed my bug up there twice from San Jose area.
The new engine has a leaking oil pan gasket (shoddy work) and twice now the rear seal was supposedly replaced yet mysteriously it is still gushing oil out of it.
I paid $ 1000 to have my tranny re-​done and my local dealer says there are noises in the tranny.

Doug is full of knowledge but the prices are very high, it is hard to get in contact with anyone on the water side, and they won’t let you return equipment. If you are looking for water tote equipment, you are better off getting the fittings online and the transfer pumps at harbor freight for a lot cheaper.

I drive the extra distance to get service from Shaz and his shop because he always goes the extra mile when it comes to keeping my TDI in great running condition. I was always picky about how my car was treated so I’ve always opted to work on my car myself. But with a busy schedule, I don’t have as much time as I used to, so I’ve been forced to find a reputable shop. I’ve now been going to Shaz for repairs without any hesitation since I’ve discovered that he’s more anal than I am about keeping things neat and clean. :)

This is a one stop shop for all TDI services. I own two mk4 golf TDI’s. It is hard to deny how well rounded these VW TDI’s really are. Amazing fuel mileage, rediculous motor longevity, huge potential for customization, and just cool.
If you want someone who cares more about your car than you do, take it here! Chaz is the owner/​mastermind, constantly evolving his business to better serve his community. He is super friendly, approachable, patient and passionate. More importantly his technical knowledge is excellent but even better is his ability to explain what’s really going on.
I am a detailed person that always used to DIY all my automotive work. I currently don’t have time secondary to kids, work, life. I feel more than confident letting them work on my car.
My favorite part is that you just have so many options. You can have your car serviced with the oem replacement parts, Manf. Special lube, etc. Or you can tap into his years of maintenance, tuning, and racing experience for advice on better parts/​products that are often cheaper.
I like options, and I like having a mechanic that loves cars!

First impression-10:40am Wednesday, nobody there. Sign on door says go around to rollup door. Nobody there. Nobody answering phone. Goes straight to full voicemail then hangs up. Prompt replies to questions via email, just not during business hours. Not worth a 40 minute drive for me.
Finally someone shows up, i get my barrel and leave. Good price, decent 55gal steel drum. CALL AHEAD
