We rented a compact car and was given a VW Beetle. That wasn’t the car of our choice and a very uncomfortable car to travel in, but we made the best of it. We had issues after traveling 500 miles the oil light came on and my husband checked the oil to discover it was black and the car was low a complete quart. We had to be inconvenienced and go out of our way to stop at the auto store to get a quart of oil. I would expect that the rental agency would check these things before sending the cars out for rental. We were told the Manager would contact us and we are still waiting to hear from him.

Worst experience ever, the lady, don’t want to put her name down here, gave my parents and myself so much trouble and attitude. All I know is that this company lost a customer. I recommend anyone renting with this company ask them before hand what their policy is on local residents renting vehicles from them. They required me to show my policy insurance in hand, wouldn’t let my parents rent the vehicle cause the insurance card shows my name as the main policy holder. I had to drive out there myself and show my ID. During memorial weekend we rented from the same company and no problem, I truly believe that it was the lady that was helping us this morning. Horrible customer service. Went through an online company to rent this vehicle, thought I was getting a great deal, I guess I was wrong, if I had another choice I wouldn’t of continued the rental, but needed the vehicle and was already charged for the vehicle.

I was helped by Sam Powell during my visit to Advantage Rent A Car. I was having a pretty stressful day preparing for a long trip and he did everything possible to make this transaction as smooth as possible. He was polite and went above and beyond his job requirements to assist me. I will never rent from anyone else based on the price and courtesy I received from Sam! Thank you !! :)
