Beautiful beach, friendly staff and an ice cream stand! The buildings, though old, were beautiful and very cozy. The food was pretty good and the surrounding area is beautiful. A beach and a woodsy area are just a short walk away. There is also a playground for kids to enjoy and an ice cream stand with soda. My experience at ferry beach couldn’t have been better. They take pride in their history and Universalist Unitarian background.

Ferry Beach is a beautiful family conference center. I have been going there since I was a kid and continue you to bring my littles there too. You can stay in the dorms and enjoy meals while visiting the beach and participating in the planned activities.

I’m not even sure I’m reviewing the right entry. So I’ll start at the beginning — I went to Ferry Beach over the weekend with the kiddos. The Beach is beautiful, even when rainy. I went swimming at sunrise(or so I believe) on a foggy Sunday morning, and the water was the same temperature as the air, so that made it easy to get in. The beach slopes significantly right into the water, but when the tide goes out it’s really out, and there is more level sand to be had. If you’re looking for sand. The Unitarian Universalist compound where we stayed with friends was awesome — like camping, with the beautiful beach right there.. . but with beds and toilets and showers. That’s my kind of camping. I’d definitely make a trip back up here to see the park nearby and explore the area in the summertime –though I have a feeling there are a lot more people up here than on a misty, drizzly last weekend in September.
