I’m a wino who is glad to have«kiler grove» in the neighborhood! This winery is in a quiet area, and I never would have guessed it was there! The man pouring our wine was smart & knowledgeable and answered all our questions & was Nice when we had some late arrivals show up to the tasting. Best of all the tasting was free & fun! We all had a really good time, and left with some $ 15 bottles! A unique gem in sslc!

i heard about this place from some friends and was shocked that i never knew salt lake had wineries. i immediately bookmarked this place and headed here on friday afternoon after lunch. it’s in a weird industrial area of salt lake, but easy enough to find(thank goodness for grid system we have here). the parking lot is tiny, but probably sufficient for this place. we were the only ones in there and the employee was very informative with the wines. there was also a dog named riley running around and she was very sweet. the wine tastings are $ 10 per person, but the fee is waived if you buy a bottle of wine for each person. they provided some goldfish crackers to help cleanse your palette, but we both declined. we sampled five wines and learned a lot about each one. we didn’t exactly love any of them, but we enjoyed the riesling the most. one thing that i didn’t like is that they use the same glass for each wine. there were both white and red wines and they really should have provided separate glasses for them. granted i just came from napa valley and i understand that this is in utah, but it was still a disappointing experience for me. the inside wasn’t nice or comfortable. there was only one place to sit and it felt like i was at someone’s kitchen which isn’t the experience i was looking for. the employee was also okay. while she was full of information, she wasn’t exactly warm. while we were ending our tasting, another group came in and it was like a switch flipped, since she suddenly became warm and friendly with them. it would have been nice if she had also treated us that way and made us feel more welcomed. overall i wouldn’t bother coming back here. i love to support local, but i didn’t love the experience and i didn’t love any of the wines. you can find plenty of wine at the state liquor store for around the same price. however wine is so personal so others may enjoy what they have here.
