Joana is truly an expert in her field. She is super knowledgable, patient and KIND when it comes to dog training. She uses positive training methods and is well versed in every aspect of it. I am a first time dog owner and truly had no clue what I was doing and she took her time answering all my questions, educating me, and teaching me how to communicate with my dog. I did extensive research regarding dog trainers in the area prior to enlisting Joana’s help and I am so glad I did– she is the real deal! Can not say enough good things about my experience with her and I highly recommend her services!

Joana was so helpful with our puppy. When we first got him, we had her come to our house for a 2 hour session where she went through all information needed for us to get started (what types of food to buy, what types of medication they need, basic training). We followed up with the basic classes in Hoboken where he learned so many commands (sit, stay, lay, drop it, leave it, etc). She gives you the tools to continue training your puppy, and is always an email away when you need her advice.

Joana is a great dog trainer! Both my dogs took her basic obedience class as puppies. One dog we did at the Nutley location and the other dog at the Hoboken location. Both locations are good for the class in terms of space, but the Nutley location has parking which is a major bonus as I often had to pay for parking for the Hoboken class (Littleman Parking on 12^th street and Hudson had the best rates).
Basic class covers all of the basics and is a good way to establish a common language with your dog. More recently I had Joana in for private sessions (very reasonable rates) to address some issues and she was great. Lots of follow-up after our session and she had some great ideas regarding fixing our problems.
