Southern Classic Chicken

I love Southern Classic! But why is their sweet tea basically tea-​flavored sugar water?
Pros: The fried okra is the best fast food okra I have ever had and the chicken is above average as well.
Cons: The people that work there are less than professional, there is no where to sit down and eat once you have ordered and the parking lot is confusing to maneuver.
Despite the cons, I will be back when I’m in town!

Well after visiting this area at least 1x/​mo for the past 2 years I finally made some time to try the famous Southern Classic Chicken. I have to say I was disappointed. Although everything was piping hot because it was pulled straight out of the grease, the food was very average. I ordered the chicken strip dinner and substituted my fries for okra. The okra was frozen from a bag which was not that big of deal for fast food but still a bit disappointing. The rolls that people were raving over were from a bag… And tasted like they were warmed with some butter brushed on top. So now I was willing to let all of this go if the chicken strips were great but unfortunately they weren’t. Now they weren’t bad they just weren’t great. Although I found them crispy, decently flavorful and not overly greasy the chicken was a bit dry. So needless to say I wasn’t blown away by the Louisiana fast food staple. I may go visit again in the future and try something other than chicken strips but I’m not itching to go back any time soon. I honestly have had much better chicken at Popeyes…

This fried chicken is HEAVENLY!!!
It’s like Jesus came down from heaven and invited me to his house for the best fried chicken in the land. You can never go wrong with this chicken. I’m pretty sure these chickens lived loving lives while they were alive too! HOW AWSOME IS THAT?!

Very out of the way. Located on the east side of town, and is difficult to get into parking lot. Chicken is good. Have pieces of chicken and chicken strips. Not overpriced. Paid about $ 8 for 4 chicken strip meal and 2 pieces of chicken.
