I was pretty excited to go here because my sister and mom said it’s better than Mulan’s and that they have more variety. Well, I usually order off menu instead of eating at the buffet because I’m concerned about freshness and the I watched children/mannerless adults who are wont use their hands, but this time, I decided to chance the buffet and man was I strongly reminded why I never do that. Anything fried was stale and cold, and they don’t bother to clean the shrimp so if you want to eat it, you get to either pick out the digestive track yourself, eat some shrimp feces, or leave it on your plate. The cheesy crab was okay, basically just what was in the name, cheese and crab. I was excited they had tempura chicken, but it was tough, and cold and stale just like the rest of the fried food laid out. It was a huge disappointment; I encourage anyone who wants some«Chinese» food to head to Mulan’s instead. It was nothing special, but it was definitely edible.

Surprised to see bad reviews here. We’ve been to this restaurant about five or six times & it is consistently delicious. The food has always been fresh and there are no mystery flavors.

The best I can say about it is — the fortune cookies were good. The food is really nothing special. It was not even hot. The service was just«adequate» at best. The prices are far too high for such low quality food and service. Places like this are the McDonald’s or Walmarts off the Chinese food world — seem to be everywhere while offering low quality at high prices.

This place is terrible. The food is very poor quality and tasted terrible. I wanted to check it out because it was new. When you walk in you pay right away. I was feeling really impressed by the huge selection they had(including frog legs) and got quite a few items. I sat down and a server came to see if I wanted a soda. I ordered and then began to eat. It was just awful. I got up and left before my soda was delivered. I should have asked for a refund but I had to get out. I just wanted to avoid talking to anyone. This place tends to be quite busy and many families go. I can only equate this to the fact that they have never had Chinese food anywhere else and haven’t had a chance to eat any food of higher quality. It’s a lot of food for what might be a decent price for some. Still, I just can’t get over what poor quality food it is, yet people still return. I can’t say anything about customer service since I got out of there as fast as I could.

Was not living in town. Tried this restaurant. Well, the service is good but the food, especially the meat was not good. Beef, chicken, pork tasted all the same(wired). All the food were like the same meat and veggie with different kinds of source.

Ate there out of necessity. Food was awful, place was dirty and even the water tasted bad(old swimming pool). All dishes were over salted, over cooked, meat was old and chewy. We’ve eaten at many a buffet and know what to expect but this was well below any standard

New China has been part of the River Valley restaurant scene for a long time now. In fact, the name doesn’t do much to describe this place. as it’s one of the oldest Chinese restaurants in the area. As for the food, New China offers the typical American Chinese fare. It’s mostly the basics, nothing too exciting. For those more accustomed to authentic Chinese cuisine, this place will fail to satisfy your palette every time. The food is about as average as Chinese buffets come. Service isn’t an issue here, but it isn’t outstanding either. The restaurant is pretty clean and the dining areas aren’t overdecorated. There are more than enough seats, despite the restaurant’s size. Their buffet is small and leaves much to be desired. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place personally. if you are going to eat Chinese in Russellville, Madam Wu’s or Mulan’s will offer a much more pleasing experience.

This place is alright, but I prefer the one in Conway. It’s small and has a smaller selection. My roommate’s an international student from China and she likes it alright. I think it’s about average but if you’re seriously craving Chinese it’s a good place to go.

We like to get the take out, fill the box full, and two can eat cheap. Pretty good food.

Food is standard Chinese buffet. Place can be busy at times especially Sunday afternoon. They need to replenish the buffet quicker.

New China is a small chain of buffets in the southern USA. This one is clean, bright and has nice folks working there. The food is fresh and hot. Look for Jesse the cashier. She’s shy but very nice. Kids are welcome and groups can have a smaller room for themselves.
