Was in town on business. The site guy suggested it. Prices were cheap, food was tasty, and they had a reasonable beer selection. Food selection is southern style, meat heavy. I was pleased with our experience. And the wait staff was very friendly. I would return if I’m back in the area.

Was camping near by and wanted bbq. The place was packed inside but there was patio seating outside. I had a sampler plate. Everything was great. Prices are expected not to steep. Service was good. I’m easy to please. A cool lil joint in a small lil town.

I Was in the mood for a good salad tonight. Didn’t know if the joint even had salads. But was pleasantly surprised to learn that pulled chicken was an option for one of the meats offered on the salad menu. The waitress was kind and recommended the smoke ranch dressing. Wow! It was the bomb. It really set the meal off. As long as the place stays consistent, I’ll be like the terminator.

I would probably eat here again. That’s what my brother said and that’s high praise coming from him. Fat Boy sandwich with coleslaw and onion rings. Also had the fried pork skins. My mother’s favorite thing on the menu. Good ice and good napkins

Yes! Found it on Unilocal, which was easier than finding it in real life. You have to drive over, I shit you not, a bayou. Well, a bridge over a bayou. On the way out of town going west. Just when you’re about to give up because you pass a sign saying you’ve entered another town not called Russellville, you’re about ¾ mile away from smoked pig bliss. Somehow, every BBQ place between here and Tulsa closes by 8PM on Thursday. I’m glad because that led me here, Dear Reader. Low carbing today, I ordered ½ pound of pulled pork and side of slaw with unsweet tea. After I sat down I saw the«Add 2 ribs for $ 2.29» sign. So I did that. Pro tip: you should too. Highlights were those ribs and this local hot sauce River Valley Pepper Sauce. It’s the bomb-diggity. The BBQ sauces are ok, I couldn’t tell the difference between sweet and hot. Although the to-go sauces were warmed up while the sauces on the tables are cold.

In a town with very few options this has to be one of the best places to eat. A group of people from work came here for lunch and no one left disappointed. The special burrito they offer on Tuesday is phenomenal. The onion rings also looked to be a crowd pleaser. The servers were very accommodating of our group of 10 and treated us very nicely. Overall a quick, easy, and tasty experience.
