This place is great! Was traveling through the area from Alabama and found this place. Some of the best BBQ around. Great sauces on the table!

Went down hill quick after expanding to down town. Skip it and don’t waste your money. Long wait for them to microwave a majority of the items.

Good local BBQ joint… located at a gas station. Great pulled pork sandwich and beans. Don’t expect a fancy atmosphere, just simple good BBQ.

A delicious lunch stop, easy to find off of interstate 40. The special of the day was sausage and sage stuffed pork loin, wrapped in bacon, hickory smoked and maple glazed. It was wonderful! We got the last serving of the day, so it must have been popular. Delicious baked beans and lemonade, as well.

They may be known for their pork but their chicken deserves another kinda rep. The poor cook has only been given black pepper to season the bird which he does with despair and abandon. Not pleasant. Beans are really great as is the lemonade. I’ve had more inspired Texas toast in nursing homes.

This pulled pork sandwich is always worth the stop. There are always friendly faces greeting you when you order. This is a great local stop to check out if you get a chance. It is in the same structure as a gas station so it is always nice to fill up since you are stopping for some of AR’s best BBQ. If you aren’t shy, you should grab the Fat Daddy Sandwich but you might want to avoid trying to eat and drive because napkins will be needed. I stop in this place every chance I get and if I’m ever feeling spontaneous, they offer several other menu items that are sure to please.

Used to be good(notice when the reviews stopped), then it seemed as if they started cutting corners and changed their recipes. Now I don’t know of anyone who goes there regularly. You’re better off hitting up Dewayne’s a few miles north on Hwy 7 in Dover or Whole Hog down I-40 in Conway. This place just isn’t worth it any more, which is sad bc we used to be regulars and love the place.

Stopped for lunch on the way to Memphis. I had the pulled chicken sandwich and my husband the pulled pork with the mixed sauces. Both we’re excellent. The coleslaw is good, not creamy. I would recommend adding it to your sandwich. The staff were all kind and helpful.

Until today my favorite BBQ place was at a place I won’t mention(don’t want the world to know) in Louisiana. My wife and I travel a great deal and are always on the lookout for good BBQ. Fat Daddy’s now tops the list. Usually, we are disappointed at over hyped places, but not Fat Daddy’s. I had the pulled pork plate with sides of baked beans and coleslaw. The pork was tender and the sides good if not great. My wife had the half chicken and slaw and potato salad. She said the chicken was done just right and not dry as too many places smoke chicken. The potato salad, which we shared, was the best ever. We both highly recommend Fat Daddy’s.

Stopped thru on our way back to Maryland and glad we did. The best barbecue I have had in a long time. Dry rub was tasty itself and then you add the sweet sauce to it and it exploded in your mouth. Will def stop here again if we are ever in the area again.

I’ve never felt more like a local Arkansan than I did when I finally decided to eat lunch at a restaurant that shares a building with a gas station. Sure, BBQ joints are typically rustic or plain old dirty, but watching hillbillies fill up their ’87 Rams while I stuff my gullet didn’t seem that appetizing. Nonetheless, I have concluded that Fat Daddy’s makes the best barbecue in town. Their meat is insanely tender and they will cook it in the sauce(sweet or spicy) of your choice. The spicy sauce tastes mostly of pepper and vinegar while the sweet sauce is closer to Texas barbecue. The secret, dear reader, is to ask them to mix the two together when they cook your sandwich. Don’t bother with the sides though; the cole slaw is nothing special(though they’ll add it to your sandwich for free), the green beans always taste strangely of peanut butter, and the fries are below average. Save those calories and just get a bigger sandwich.

BBQ was awesome. Will eat there more often. This place was recommended by my realtor and new friend John, he said it was the best and was right.

This little sandwich joint, tucked away just off I-40, just changed my life when it comes to a pork sandwich. We pulled in for gas and were lured in by an amazing BBQ smell, and with that curiosity of «does it taste as good as it smells?» your forced to buy one. Let’s just say if I was anywhere in the state again I’m defiantly going out of my way to get another… maybe three or four! It’s a must try. On a 1 – 10 it’s gets a straight up 15!

aka Fat Daddy’s Bar B Que. Not a restaurant but a small catering counter found within a gas station. Random? Completely. We was’ road trippin cross country and we stopped for essentials, Gatorade and road beverages. Smelled the BBQ and had to have a couple of their pulled pork sandwiches. Not your typical BBQ sandwich. Theirs had a significant taste difference, the flavor was sharp and afterwards we felt satiated and fresh. The sauce was more of a black pepper with a light vinegar finish. Our taste buds were perplexed; reminds me of those Cole slaw’s which aren’t sweet, but tart. Searching for the correct location on-line was a feat! This spot is located in a gas station, which brand I can’t remember. Thinking Texaco or Phillips. Worth mention, because if you are as crazy for BBQ like me, maybe you too had hoped someone reviewed it. Unilocal app. get it.
