The baristas here are so kind. They always brighten my morning & make me great lattes.

I really enjoy this Starbucks in downtown Royal Oak. When I first visited this Starbucks, I wasn’t expecting much, since it was right in the heart of Royal Oak downtown, and I assumed it would be overcrowded, loud, and not a lot of places to sit or study. But I was wrong! It’s actually relatively quiet in there with some good background music, and there were plenty of places to sit at least when I visit. I usually hit up coffee shops to study, and for some reason, this place has a good enough atmosphere to be able to be productive. The prices and food are typical Starbucks.

Great service, great staff and prompt orders. The baristas care about customer service and know their regulars. The product is usually always fresh and great! Keep up the good work!

One of my favorite places to study in RO! The employee staff team is great. They’re so nice and they make your beverage exactly the way you ask for it. There’s a lot of seating and plenty of booth area for big groups or even for studying.

I like that this location is open late and it saved us from a very loud bar at 11pm. I like the Evolution Juice selection when I’m not in the mood for a chai. Bathrooms are always clean, this location is a little narrow, but we found a nice corner for the four of us to sit and chat. This is is a great spot to unwind or relax.

I love this location. the drive thru is very fast and the interior is always clean the staff is great too, always friendly it makes my morning drive a lot easier to see a friendly smile. And like an old friend the morning crew knows me by name and has my drink ready and waiting

Like other Starbucks, but unlike other Starbucks. Like other Starbucks because of the coffeehouse atmosphere and the same menu. But unlike others because it is located in the downtown area of Royal Oak (within walking distance of many restaurants and boutique shops, etc.). It is also within walking distance of OCC Royal Oak and public parking (free parking on Sunday’s and holidays). So if you want to spend time just walking, eating, and/​or shopping in Downtown RO (especially on Sundays), find public parking lot, park, wander around, and eat at bd’s.

I love this location! I’m a regular and I always feel welcome and taken care of My drink of choice is a simple latte, and they always make it right. I also recommend the bistro boxes, they’re s little pricy but I think they’re worth it.

Was in Royal Oak area this morning. Long line, service not very friendly. One of the ladies barking at customers in line «move up, next!» Not respectful at all. Waited long time. Don’t like the vibe of this store. If I fork over $ 4 – 5 bucks, how about a little customer courtesy. Coffee was good.

Ahhhh yes. Starbucks. Fuel for VERY white people. Don’t forget Your Mumford and Sons cd!!!

There are probably more regulars at this Starbucks than most others in the area. Located conveniently at Third and Main St in downtown Royal Oak, it’s an easy stop if you’re heading out of the suburbs and to work.
I generally come on Saturday morning, and though the line appears long upon first glance, the baristas somehow work their magic and keep it moving FAST. I imagine they’ve got a pot of the freshest brew tucked in the back room for themselves, fueling their ability to make some of the off kilter custom orders that come their way, with vigor and precision.
The seating is customary Starbucks, lounge-​like and comfortable. There’s even a giant table in the back that can seat seemingly ten people. Perfect for a study group or club meeting. There’s even a small outdoor patio in the front of the store, overlooking Main St. The only downside to this Starbucks is the lack of drive-​thru service. Other than that, well done crew, you make the coffee gods proud!

Definitely always bustling, often a little dirty from all the traffic, kind of a pain to get to if you’re driving but also one of the spots where you’re sure to run into some locals you know. This is assuredly a working Starbucks meaning it’s not so much a social gathering spot as it is a place where Oakers come to get work done. But all the same, it’s nice coming here early and grabbing something to sit outside and watch the city wake up to.

Bathroom smells like shit and they have the mini urinals you see at ikea. Kinda weird and yucky.

I’m just about fed up with this location. I come here out of convenience since it is close to home. Never have I ever had a complaint with the baristas until now. But this location has a bunch of bitches. They never smile when you order your drink, they give you an attitude if you ask for your drink to be remade and they proceed to talking shit about you. I had to have them make my drink several times. Something was really off with the chocolate they used. I mentioned it and they said sometimes it comes out bitter. When I apologized for asking them to remake it the 2^nd time, one of them sarcastically said its their barista promise to make it over if you are not satisfied. I actually threw my drink out because it was not drinkable. I don’t know if they did this on purpose or what but I’ve been getting the drink I ordered for over 5 years and I’ve never had this issue before.

Fast, friendly, service. You can expect your drink in less than 2 minutes if there’s no line. Even with a line, 5 minutes!

Really solid location. Yes, it gets busy, but so what. It’s downtown R.O. Right on the corner, it is a prime stop spot. It can need some floor and table attention a bit more then they tend to. Overall I have had good service, and more importantly my drinks are consistent. Lines usually move fairly quickly.

So after going to the two locations in Roseville I drove out here to meet up with my wife for a coffee the other day and they sold me a vanilla syrup. Not the small kind on the floor, but the kind you can order from
! I was so thrilled. I also bought a pump. That is good customer service. I couldn’t believe the other locations wouldn’t as they have in the past. The barista forgot to put the cinnamon dolce in my wife’s drink and made up a new one on the spot, apologized, and gave us a next ones on us coupon.
Great experience.

I know that Starbucks prides themselves on having the same product and experience at every location. If you order a white chocolate mocha in Michigan it should (in theroy) taste the same if you ordered the same drink in Florida.
Sadly…thats not always true.
This is MY Starbucks. They know my name. They know my drink. I can admit I am here a lot… probably too much.
My drink is simple but time after time (when I go to other locations) they make it wrong. Whats so hard about wanting «light» soy milk in my iced coffee??? Here, its always right. Not too much soy. Not too much ice. Always perfect.
The barista’s here are super speedy and very nice. Even with a line that sometimes streches to the door it goes by very fast.
They have lots of seating here and it always seems clean.
I only complaint (and its totally something that is probably not their fault) … but it always seems like they don’t get the most up to date things. I know some starbucks have «boxed lunches». Not this one. I know that starbucks is changing their bakery products (got an email about it and saw it at another location) — this one still has the same ol’ stuff. Not really sure why it takes a while for things to get here… just seems weird to get emails about new products and its never in this store.

This IS a cool Starbucks indeed! Most of the ones that I have been in are quite cramped. This location has a fairly spacious, yet cozy, interior which is what makes it. There’s typical booth and table seating, but also armchairs and high tables/​counters with bar chairs. And still there is actually room to walk around (a plus). The outdoor seating is very limited though, but considering the location in bustling dwntwn Royal Oak, it’s neat that they even have outdoor seating at all.
Starbucks, in general, seems to take forever to prepare everything with the food/​beverages, but they must be doing something right ;-)
…my favorite location yet!
