I hope my purchase didn’t bother the older bald gentleman that works there. Newer person was struggling with finding the item I was buying and rather than help him I got to wait until her figured it out. Just looked at what I purchased, 2 for $ 25. II could have got it from Walmart for $ 4 a bag. Way over priced. I will never go back.

Way better than Fireside Hearth and Home. I just bought a house and have never had a fireplace so I needed some accessories. My husband and I went to Fireside first and were greeted by 3 employees that seemed like they didn’t want to be bothered by us. We felt weird and left, knowing there was another fireplace store down the road. Walking into Bourlier’s we were greeted by the nicest man who walked us around and gave us advice about our first fire. He told us what was necessary and what wasn’t. The selection was larger and the prices were better! So glad we decided to check this place out!

Great selection of fireplaces! I want to thank Larry for all his help in my search to find the perfect fireplace! He answered so many questions over the phone, which helped me decide they know what they are doing. When I went to the store a couple days ago, he was so patient, and knew everything about the fireplaces! He was just very knowledgeable, helpful and a kind person. I will definitely be back, and recommend everyone go to him! Thank you for the lovely experience!

Just incredible. Bourlier’s is your one stop shop for all things BBQ and Fireplace related. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Where they really win is inventory. Everything from high end lump charcoal (hard to find in the area), great wood CHUNKS for smoking meat, grill accessories, and tables. The meat rub/​spices collection is top notch. The Big Green Egg accessory inventory is probably best in Michigan.
If you are a BBQ hobbyist or Big Green Egg owner, Bourlier’s should be your only stop in South East Michigan.
The staff clearly love what they do and are always sharing grilling tips. When I come in, they remember what my previous purchase was, ask how it went, and are continuously sharing other customer input/​tips/​tricks.

I was helped by Brian… he’s the bald guy. He helped me 15 minutes before they closed on a Sunday buy a grill. While I unfortunately was not able to complete the transaction, because Amazon would not let me cancel my order of the same grill even 6 days before it was set to arrive, Brian left me with a positive impression with his great service. Even in canceling and refunding my order over the phone… he took the high road. This type of service is a rare gem. While I won’t be buying my grill there, I will definitely be back in the future for any and all grill and fireplace related purchases.

I am really disappointed to write this review but feel compelled due to the salesman I encountered while shopping. I came in looking for a few fireplace hoods and wanted to look into fireplace doors and remotes as well. The older salesperson who was assisting me was quick to assume that since I was young that everything in the store must of course be out of my budget.
He made comments such as «it would be too expensive» when I asked if someone could come to my home and do an estimate for custom doors. He also made numerous comments about the «high» cost of their products insinuating that I would not be able to afford them. I am usually one to brush off comments like that but when I was about to spend that kind of money I want to be treated like a valued customer, which was absolutely not the case here.
Unfortunately for him I in fact have a very large budget for these projects, and was stunned that he would not even take the time to figure out what I wanted instead of judging me based on a youthful appearance.
I ended up leaving the store abruptly without placing any orders and will look to find another local fireplace store that appreciates my business. I was referred here by a family friend and I certainly hope they can resolve these issues so no one else has to experience what I did. Maybe I just had the bad luck of this guy but it has tainted my whole view of this company now.

They have EVERYTHING. Got my Big Green Egg here and couldnt be happier with it.

We purchased a furnace from these guys a year ago. It wasn’t a great experience, first they are not very organized and lost of a bunch of our parts, then ordered the wrong parts to replace them. This caused significant delays to our installation (our furnace should have been installed at the start of November and was not in until the end of February — after the winter!). The contractor we used through them was also terrible. He was not transparent about his costs upfront and it ended up costing a lot more than we anticipated. If you have options, go somewhere else.

Holy cow, these folks are great! They are so knowledgable and very helpful. I came in for some replacement parts for my Weber Q, but a salesman suggested I bring my Q in to see if I really needed to replace anything. He took my burner tube and regulator apart, cleaned them, and offered advice for regular maintenance. The best part – no charge. I insisted I pay a fee but he refused. The showroom is packed with beautiful grills, fireplaces, and accessories. My husband was drooling over everything in there.
I’m going to go through them for an upgrade to our gas fireplace and look forward to giving them my business. They offer quality US and Canadian-​made products at reasonable prices. WAY better than any big-​box store.
