The Inn at West Settlement

There aren’t many reasons I’d drive out in the middle of nowhere for a wedding, but I must admit, I’m quite fond of my cousin that had a wedding here, and decided the trip would be worth it. ;-) (Haha…)
In all seriousness, The Inn at West Settlement is a gorgeous venue. It’s tucked into a gorgeous spot in the towering Catskills, with gorgeous mountain views and dazzling foliage all around. There are two buildings: the bucolic house where where the inn is, as the large two-​level barn for the reception. The ceremony took place in front of the inn, which overlooks an idyllic pond and a large mountain, while the reception took place in the barn. A large side yard was loaded with games to play at the cocktail hour, such as badminton, horseshoes, and cornhole. The event area on the top floor of the barn was magnificent; it amply fit all of the guest with room for eating and wild dancing. At the end of the evening, a lovely bonfire adjacent to the barn provided a wonderful way to find down after an exciting day.
I suppose my one peeve had to do with accessibility. With my boyfriend being handicapped, I tried to park as close to the inn as possible, because an uneven dirt road is not great for a person reliant on an arm crutch. One women, presumably staff, told me to park further away. I tried to explain, but she said there was no room… despite there being open parking closer to the venue that didn’t have «No Parking» signs up. Maybe it was reserved; I don’t know. I did bite my lip at that one a bit. Those slate stairs in front of the inn were not easy for him to navigate, either, hence the other reason I wanted to park closer to have him at least be able to walk up the side driveway.
Overall, the Inn at West Settlement is a such a wonderful venue. They provided a wonderful setting for my cousin’s wedding and helped craft a wonderful day to remember.

Had my daughter’s wedding at this venue absolutely awesome. Andy and Kim were great hosts. I know it was my event but have to say that one of the best weddings I have ever been to. The venue is beautiful. Guests are free to roam the grounds and enjoy lawn games or a fire or stay in the barn and party… if you are looking for a barn wedding venue in a beautiful location this is the place for you.
