For years I’ve wanted to eat here, but it’s too long a ride from home to grab breakfast. Today, while out with a friend, I stopped in for a meal — a late breakfast. They couldn’t have been friendlier nor the service any better. On that they excel! The issue I had is with the food and drink. The coffee was undrinkable — bitter and almost burnt. I ordered the corned beef hash and eggs/over easy. The eggs were fine, but you couldn’t find any corned beef. The hash was basically a tasty fried mashed potato with a very few bits of corned beef that I just couldn’t taste. My friend’s Mango Pancake special seemed fine — a very large serving for $ 7.19 — served with real maple syrup. So — I might give them another try, but not in a big hurry. Nice folks — great service, but weak on the corned beef and way off on the coffee.

We have been coming here for years and they are one of the only places that actually know how a real omelet should be prepared. This not the average scrambled egg filled and flipped over on the griddle. Be prepared for a fluffy and delicious treat. Also, the pancakes are amazing. Yes, there are long waits on the weekends but usually the great places are packed. Come expecting to wait and relax and enjoy your food.

As you may guess by the name, this place is known for its pancakes. It is also know for long wait times, bad omelets, and mediocre service. Basically, if you want to go out to breakfast with anyone in a low carb diet, this is not the place to go. The Eggs Benedict options are plentiful and come with a generous helping of home fries. The hollandaise sauce is not great though, so refrain from getting that here if you want good Eggs Benny. The omelets– you’re better off going to the Sunday brunch at a college dining hall. It’s the kind of omelet where they fully cook both sides, then fold it with the ingredients inside. Eh. Pancakes– like previously stated, don’t go if on a diet. You get 3 – 4 large pancakes. If you’re feeling dessert for bfast — try the cinnamon pancakes. They are doused in cinnamon sugar a la fried dough. I am not a pancake person, but I tried the potato pancakes(order applesauce with it rather than the«warm apples» that comes with it– the apples are basically artificial pie filling and the applesauce is a safer [healthier] option). They looked liked regular pancakes so I was originally a little disappointed, but there is shredded potato in the batter and they were surprisingly delicious! Even though I didn’t love this place, I would consider returning for those pancakes. Went on a Sunday so they were super busy, but our server was forgetful and one of our meals arrived 10 minutes after everybody else’s. Given that they were pancakes it seems like they weren’t even started until after the other food was brought to the table.
