We went there to get takeouts since we were in the grocery store right next to the restaurant. The staff were friendly. While waiting for the food, my friend noticed the guy behind the cash register was in pain… more specifically stomach pain. My friend and I looked at each other since we’ve already paid for the food. As our food came out of the kitchen the guy asked two of the guys working in the kitchen to pack our food while he went to the bathroom. Aside from that, the food was only okay. We ordered a beef noodle soup and they packed the noodle in the soup so the noodle was soggy when we ate it. We definitely will not return.

Slice meat(I ordered beef which was Combination A2) with its specialty«flat bread» is good. The combo also came with a choice of millet congee or borcht. Both are pretty good. I will probably go back to try more things on the menu.

Very greasy and without air-conditioning turning on for the hot summer.

I came here once before in July 2013 with mixed feelings. This past weekend I was in the complex again and decided to give this place another try. From speaking with the staff, new ownership is in place as of January 2014. The staff is friendly and willing to explain the food items. The specialty dishes are the sliced meats; they tasted authentic. The environment is clean and the staff is friendly. Aside from the signature sliced meats, I also ordered the Shanghai noodles with the added request of making it spicy — it was done well and the spice was spot on. The kitchen was testing new methods to steam a particular type of bun, and the owner brought a whole batch out for all the customers to sample. It was a fun experience, one that’s worth the extra carbs. Bottom line is that, this is a casual diner venue for locals and for shoppers from nearby stores. I really like that the food is different from others, and I wish the new ownership can turn this store around. They’re doing things correctly from what I can see.

To start things off, the waiter is rude. The menu comes in both Chinese and English, and when we asked him what were the ingredients of a certain dish, the waiter just flipped the menu to the English side, which was as enlightening as the Chinese soap opera broadcasted on the television in the front. The kitchen is slow. So slow that the water in our cups must have completed the water cycle once. We ordered the onion oil noodles and pan fried buns. For starters the onion oil noodles was comprised of four things: onions, oil, noodle, and a bit of shrimp(the shrimp being an unpleasant surprise due to my mild seafood allergy). There was no way of knowing what has seafood from the menu. The noodles were still pretty terrible(they were, in all probability, bought in the supermarket next door) and the sauce an unholy combination of grease, soy sauce, high fructose corn syrup, and msg. The pan fried buns were ok. Just ok. Avoid this place.
