This place is bizarre. I’ve seen Koreans own Japanese and Chinese restaurants, but the workers here don’t know a lick of Korean. The food is tailored towards non-Koreans as well. They have things like pork chops, Chinese style. It isn’t bad, actually. The food over-all isn’t bad for the price. I’ve just had better– mainly in LA. But if you don’t want to deal with the traffic and parking, or if you live near Rowland Heights, this isn’t a bad place to go.

A cheap and decent place for Korean BBQ. The thing I like about this place is that you can just walk up and grab whatever meats you want and not have to wait for the food to be brought to you. I’ve experienced some places where they take forever to bring the meat you requested, but at least this place you can just get up and get it whenever you want!

Came here last year for my grandma’s birthday and we came here again this year. WHY?! I have no clue. I think my grandma just likes the fact that we can go grab which ever and how ever much meat we want, when we want. Parking: Big lot, usually empty. Go figure. Service: Service here is almost impeccable! But then again it is self serve… although they do take away plates promptly and drinks seem to fill themselves. Oh, and don’t hesitate to ask them to change the grill, they’ll do it on the pronto! Décor: DARKKKKKk lighting as all hell. You would almost think that this place was closed the way they have this place lite. Other than that, the décor is a bit more on the modern side. Food: For $ 20 a person I’m expecting mouth watering, melt in your mouth, I want to gorge myself until I can’t move kind of food. Instead, I got frozen beef briskets that didn’t cook or taste well, short ribs that didn’t look fresh ATALL, chicken, and pork that were bland. uck. They have this fried bread coated with sugars for dessert that used to be my favorite sweets when i was little but their’s are gross. They TASTE like they’ve been sitting in the pan all day X_X anddd don’t get too excited about the soft serve machine LOL i think they kept the same«out of order» sign from last year. In conclusion, I would NOT recommend this place or agree to come back again. I would MUCH rather go to KOREA house down the street frm this place for just $ 16.99. They have fresher meats, seasoned to perfection!(:

Please be advice, do not lose control or your stomach will not forgive you. I think food and price is very good for korean bbq at San Han! They have a pretty good meat selection along with a few seafood selection – shrimp, octopus. They also sell a pitcher of beer for about 14 bucks. Because of the whole LIN-sanity ordeal, Sam Han has ordered the channel where they can show the Knicks game. Service– they speak minimal english. I think they are able to recognize key words and figure their way around what you need. I overheard that they were speaking both Korean and Mandarin– so probably have both on the staff. They are not hesitant to change your grill when you ask– so your food stays yummy and not burnt! Overall, I will definitely recommend this to anyone who loves eating and grilling your own food at your own pace. 20 bucks can get your tummy full!

FOOD — 3.5 stars. Food was just alright. We paid for the AYCE dinner. They have decent amount of selections, meats seems fresh and newly stocked, the marination or food flavor is however a bit lacking. SERVICE — 4 stars. Service here is actually very impressive. I love Korean services, even if some may not speak straight English, they do try to please and their smiles are freely given and sincere, the servers here are what I expected of a Korean hospitality. Attentive and accommodating. They strive to make your dining experience fun. ATMOSPHERE — 4 stars. This restaurant is actually pretty big and open; with chairs and tables placed spaciously. Clean, adequate lighting and vent system, comfortable temperature inside. They have a pleasant, traditional asian restaurant décor. PRICEVS. PORTION — 2.5 stars. We went for AYCE Sunday dinner, price per person was almost $ 20 and drinks are an additional fee. Though they have a decent food variety, the taste was not impressive… so $ 20/person was not worth it to me. BOTTOMLINE: Even after such an awesome service, I feel like the AYCE door price was too much for just a mediocre tasting food. I don’t see myself coming back here, esp. when Rowland Heights are surrounded with lots of diverse cuisines.

The first time i came here i thought it was pretty cool that we could go up and get as much food as we want. This style of ayce kbbq is convenient, but at the same time the meat isn’t as fresh and people seem to always take the whole tray of meat when the workers bring it out. The meat isn’t bad, i usually just get the bulgogi and brisket but i do occasionally get the chicken and pork. The salad is my favorite part for me because the sauce is soo good! Likes: –Smokeless grill(most kbbq places make me smell after i leave) –Big parking lot –Salad! –Workers change the grill occasionally(Keeps the grill grease free) Dislikes: –I don’t really enjoy using their chili sauce because there’s a weird taste to it(it’s different from the other places i’ve been to) –Food isn’t as fresh –EXPENSIVE(For kbbq, $ 20 a person is kind of on the expensive side) –Food needs to come out faster when the trays are empty

Yay! #2 Son graduated from college! He wanted to have a small luncheon after the ceremony and wanted a casual place somewhere in this area. Also, since his guests were mostly guys from his favorite organization, some place that would fill their bellies and where they could comfortably chat and be themselves. So, we went on a scouting trip to Sam Han the month before… First impression was good! My husband loved the fact that the meat was at a serve-yourself counter. My assignment was to sample the banchans and other miscellaneous items. Ooooh! Pumpkin soup! Add a dash of that salt/pepper mix… yummy! Purple rice with beans!!! I LOVE that rice. No rice papers, but they had those thin rounds of pickled daikon to wrap the meat with. Tastier than the papers! We were sold. This place would be perfect. The big day came and the folks at Sam Han took great care of our party of 26. The young men had a lot of fun grilling at their tables. Some of them were KBBQ virgins. From the hugs and thank yous, we’re pretty sure that they all enjoyed themselves. We had so much fun getting to know my son’s friends. Delightful bunch of guys! Recommended for groups– a big YES! Thank you, Sam Han for being so accommodating!

WHY do they close at 10pm? WHY? i enjoyed our night… loved the private room with big projection TV, flat screen TV, dance floor lights, and the karaōke… but you’d think that would make people drink more, stay later, but… they close at 10? it’s a pretty good place, considering the prices and the variety of food they offer… but i don’t know if i am going back, since they close at 10!

NOT worth the $ 20 dinner price. NOTNOTNOT. Make the extra 20 minute drive to K-town and you can get better for half the price! Or even the other direction to Orange County where it’s still better and half the price. Strike one — Everything is laid out buffet style, which though easy and convenient, means the meat has been sitting out for who knows how long. In marinade or not, many of the meats now have a brownish tint(or more) to them, so you know you’re not getting fresh stuff. And, they don’t have lamb! Strike two — They don’t have rice paper wraps. I just can’t enjoy my KBBQ without those things. Strike three — While there is somewhat of a good selection of prepared foods(from your typical ban chan items to the«American» stuff [fried rice, chow mein, onion rings, egg rolls]), none of it was that impressive. You obviously can’t go wrong with the ban chan, but the other items were lukewarm and very meh. I know you don’t come here for that but still, if it’s there, you might as well make it somewhat tasty.

Stopped in here to try the AYCE shabu shabu, actually hot pot. $ 19.99 for an adult regardless of lunch or dinner. The restaurant was pretty quiet, less than half of the restaurant was open for seating. After waiting several minutes to be seated, the waiter asked if I wanted korean BBQ. I said I wanted the hot pot. He said hot pot is for a minimum of two people. I looked around, no where did it say that hot pot was for a minimum of two. I asked why… that’s just the rules. They allow one person for AYCEBBQ but not hot pot?! What difference does it make? I left frustrated and hungry. What a total fail!

We came here for lunch on a Saturday. It was empty, but we were there soon after it opened for the day. It became more crowded as we were eating. I actually really like the buffet set up here. The kalbi, chicken and seafood was pretty good. I am not a fan of their spicy pork. I liked how they had ban chan and noodles, deserts and soup in the buffet as well. The restaurant is very spacious and I didn’t feel like I was inhaling K BBQ smoke throughout lunch. It may not be the most authentic place for K BBQ, but the benefits of all the extra non-korean dishes i worth it I think.

My favoriate place for ALLYOUCANEATBBQ. The best part of this place is that its setup like a buffet. ALl of the meet is in the buffet area and you can grab as much as you like or as little. So instead of ordering«orders» of all you can eat meat, you can grab yourself a half order and eat a little bit of everything. The popel are always nice too, They will come around and cut up your peat if you want. Just ask them to change out the plate every now and then. They also have a buffet style for the side dishes so you can grab what you want again without waiting for them to come around and have your meat get cold waiting for the sides.

I find it odd that there’s a «grand opening» sign out front even though this place has apparently been around for so long… Anyway, I had a great meal here. I enjoyed the meats thoroughly even though the buffet area looked kinda small. But all the magic happens at the grill, after all. I enjoyed the bulgogi and the short ribs and was able to tolerate the spicy beef well enough. The surprises for me were the croaker fish, which tastes much better than it looks, and the sweet potato fries. And if those happen to be cold(we might’ve been a bit early for main dinner service), you can easily warm them back up on the grill. The onions and garlic cloves are nice trimmings as well, and don’t forget the seafood if you’re into that. I do have a few gripes; — There was telltale rotten egg smell at the start and end of my meal, which is far too often, imo. They should be able to control the natural gas better. The smell is just not good to have. — We couldn’t find the white rice the first time to the plate and we wound up taking a lot of extra purple/black whole grain rice back to our table. FYI, It’s in a large, unmarked pot to the left of the soup. — Apparently, they want my business or something? The sign that warns people of a 20% waste fee said«Thank you for your corporation.» — No easily viewable TV from our corner. Yes, it was a more private area for a larger group, but I still wanted to be able to follow college football because it was a Saturday night. Overall, I do feel that this was worth the $ 18.99 and would come here again next time I’m in the area.

I don’t think it can get any better than an AYCE Korean BBQ buffet. For $ 13 weekday lunch, it’ll blow your mind! They have a variety of proteins(thick slab pork belly, thinly sliced beef, marinated beef, chicken, squid, pork chops, and inners!), all which you can serve yourself, so if you want a little bit of this or a lot of that, feel free friends! That’s the beauty of a buffet; you can try everything without risk! In addition they have: — an entire bar of Korean side dishes(YUM) — naengmyeon, Korean cold noodles(YUM) — Korean salad(thinly sliced scallions and green leaf lettuce) — shik hae, rice nectar(although it wasn’t too tasty) — an entire bar of Chinese food(wouldn’t eat it — fill up on protein!) — some American food such as onion rings, fries(I wouldn’t do it) — white rice/purple rice — Korean pumpkin porridge(YUM) — kimpap, Korean«sushi» rolls(yum) — a couple of Chinese soups(those typically found in Chinese buffets) — «dessert:» soft serve ice cream, jello, fruit So as you can see, there is a lot of variety, many that I wouldn’t touch, but at least the variety is there. I filled up on protein and side dishes and that alone made it worth while! I’m salivating just thinking about the sizzle!

A pretty memorable experience here. I liked the way the buffet station was arranged. Other than for the meats, I wasn’t too interested in anything else. The spicy chicken was good, as well as the bulgogi. The mussels were also pretty tasty. And the rice was well done. It was neither soggy nor hard. The service here is great, too. Without asking, they’ll just walk by and fill up your water, adjust your fire, and even cut your chicken for you. It wasn’t like I was struggling with it either. It was just something they wanted to do. They also changed the grill plate on their own. Why was it a memorable experience here, though? Because halfway through my meal, I heard something spilling onto the floor. I looked up and there was a kid vomiting as though someone turned on the faucet. Now, maybe it is the food that caused him to do that, I don’t know. The employees there cleaned it up pretty quickly, though. Within 5 minutes, it was as good as new, except for the stench.

I’ve been to this place a few times. but friday night was the first time visiting this place again after i dunno how many yrs and learned that they have just re-opened. The place is clean, and it’s AYCE for $ 20(dinner). Like Jacob H. said, i too like how i can get up and get whichever food i want to cook rather than waiting for the service to bring out the food. If i have an empty banchan, i can get more. The banchans are okay — some were good, some weren’t. They have unlimited mackerels, chap chae, dokbokki(which was not tasty at all), cold noodles, kimbap(eh.whatever), fruits and desserts. so it’s pretty worth it. Haha and we improvised by making our own kimchi fried rice = yummy! Service was good, they kept refilling our water /tea. They even gave us steamed eggs. i know $ 20 is more than what you can get at k-town, but hey, at least i dont have to fight the LA traffic on a friday night.

3.5 stars! Like it cause its buffet style and you don’t need to wait for your food, plus they have other items, you don’t leave super smoky. Don’t like it since it’s 18.99 for dinner, and the quality of the meat is okay. Came here on a Sunday night and had pretty good service, not that this place was that full, but decently full for Sunday. They use round gas grills here for 4 – 6 people per grill. Its kinda nice as its more like a restaurant setting with some booths and some tables and lotsa of space. No being squished in right next to the table next to you or feeling like you’re in an factory because of the vents. Sure the vents were there, but I didn’t notice them as much since they weren’t that loud but still did a decent job. And now for the food… they have a wide variety of meats, seafood, banchan, and cooked items, and… a soft serve machine! Haha I love seeing soft serve machines at asian establishments, I don’t usually get ice cream but I just think its funny. Meats-bulgogi(not that great), all kinds of pork and chicken(some spicy marinated), pork belly, kalbi(best tasting one here, bit chewy but I ate a lot of this one), squid, octopus, chicken sphincter, beef tongue, beef tendon The best things were the kalbi and the spicy pork. Beef tendon is always good, and was nice to see at a k bbq place. I didn’t have the chicken sphincter(basically the muscle thats in the chicken’s butt) but one of my tablemates did. He didn’t even know what he was eating but thought it was delicious and asked the waiter what it was… well we all had a good laugh when we found it it was basically chicken anus(but even worse basically) and he found out he had a favorite new meat. Or well is it considered meat at all? Banchan here is very plentiful and diverse and there are make your own sauces. Kimchi, different radishes, lettuce for wrapping, seaweeds, potato salads, jellyfish salad, rice cakes, jop chae etc etc etc. Its kinda nice to not have to keep asking for banchan and to have a large selection. I didn’t see rice wraps though. Cooked food included sesame balls with red bean filling, noodles, rice, eggrolls, tempura, jello and a buncha of other stuff I didn’t even try. So if for some reason you’re not here just for the meat, you have options. This place is run by Chinese people I do believe, and the server I had spoke English. This is actually my 2nd time here and I haven’t had much trouble with service. Since its a buffet, some things tend to be just okay, some not so good, some sit there forever, but if you go during a busier time the food will change out quicker. It’s definitely feels more relaxing than other korean bbq places since you’re not constantly ringing a bell or waving your arms to get service.

Food was ok, I liked how I can go up and pick what I want rather than wait for them to bring the plates over one by one. The waiter spoke to us in mandarin, which was surprising. lol. He also gave us two of the spicy tofu soups when I think everyone else got none or one. Some of the food there isn’t fresh, and you can definitely taste it. Service was good, but I guess it was only because it was Sunday at lunch and no one was really there. I have been here a couple of times already so it’s pretty consistent in being A-OK.

Located in a plaza in Rowland Heights. Plenty of parking during lunch hours, not a lot of people come here anymore. I remember a few years back it used to be packed. I absolutely LOVE the price here because they lowered it to $ 9.99 per person for lunch, it used to be $ 12.99! I don’t recall how much it is for dinner because I only come for lunch. Soda is $ 1.50 with free refills of course, I usually get the Raspberry Iced Tea but it’s not always cold, even when it’s. filled with ice? The workers are nice & they’re attentive to your needs. BUT, sometimes they lack workers which makes it hard to get what you want, like a drink refill. Okay, so the quality of the meat are NOTTHATGREAT but it’s not bad & you can get it yourself! I hate going to one of those KBBQ joints where you have to wait for the server to BRING it to you, why not just get it yourself, right?! They also have cooked food for you like chow mein, fried chicken, fried fish, etc. They have a small selection of sushi, vegetables & fruits. Do other KBBQ places offer that? No. All of that for $ 9.99 is worth your money!

OMG. All You Can Eat and for $ 9.99!!! I am pretty picky when it comes to KBBQ. The food here was ok. But, but, but 9.99 for all you can eat! OMG. I came here for lunch with my coworkers. One of them had been here recently. So, lunch is all you can eat buffet. $ 9.99 week days only. The service was great. Our drinks were continuously refilled. The brisket was great. Gizzards and pork belly were just fine. Desserts were good, too. I couldn’t resist and even had the ice cream. The fruit was not ripe. I think the Kimchi portion of the buffet could use some sprucing up and a little more variety. So, this place is pretty much like every other decent KBBQ place except for the price and our hostess was great. It does not really compare to places in KTown, but it is decent, local and you cannot beat the lunch price! I would totally return for this price!
