I’ve going to Purelite over a year by now… their staffs are friendly and easy to talk which made me comfortable instantly ever since my fist consultation. I started with hair removal laser and tattoo removal. With the package price they offer, the result has coming great. (Dr. Yu, the female dr. has good sense of humor and makes me feel comfortable getting bikini area laser) I mentioned that I also had tattoo laser and it was performed by both dr Gideon and Yu. They are both patient in explaining the process and diligent with numbing injection. They inform clients cosmetic knowledge and how procedures take place. I’d say this is a good place to start girls cosmetic journey.

After roughly a month receiving three syringes of fillers here at Purelite, never a day I heard from someone saying my face is angular and oddly shaped. No one can say exactly what’s wrong, but I look older and dragged. As promise, here is the evaluation from a very renowned plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills.
The person (Dr. Wu) who injected the fillers onto the locations of the cheek bones as if he or she were trained or only been working on Caucasians who tends to have less of a cheek bones than typical Asian. As someone (me) with very high cheek bones who is also Asian, pumping in fullers on those areas adds masculinity and the overall profile resemble an old man with wide cheek bones and a collapsed face.
The resolution to that was to inject dissolvent to disintegrate Dr. Wu’s fillers, immediately the subject (me) retains a feminine profile. Easier on the eyes and thanks god the nightmare is over.

I went to Dr. Yu for the mixto laser. I was pretty nervous because I have read that this laser treatment can be very painful. When I first met Dr. Yu, I couldn’t believe she was old enough to be a doctor. Whatever she is doing to her skin, it is working!
I think she was able to sensed that I was very nervous, and she really took her time with me throughout my entire visit. She thoroughly explained to me how the procedure works and what i should expect. During treatment, she was very aware of my pain threshold, and allowed me to take breaks whenever I needed. I was happy with the result of the laser treatment and I will definitely be going back to her for all my cosmetic needs.

I went to this place yesterday which is my goof friend highly recommend, love the atmosphere of this place, very cozy and warm, staffs are very polite. The beautiful consultant Tiffany has good knowledge to give me a fair advice that what I like it. I went to few beauty salons or medical clinic before, some staffs were very bullshit and I didn’t want that. I will definitely go back this place.

The team here is great!!! Beautiful office. You will never leave disappointed. I feel and look like a million bucks every time I leave.

This place is awful!!! I done with my laser whiting package. But my face is totally like shit right now!!! My skin become too sensitive and has lots of pimples on my face… they totally screw up my face… omg people don’t come this client… they might screw up your face!

Dr. Gideon Kwok is the BEST! With a light as a feather touch and a true connection to the patient, Dr. Kwok truly understands the aesthetics of beauty! I recently underwent the Thermage 1200 treatment, and it was a much better experience than I imagined. No pain and instant natural looking results. Thank you Dr. Kwok !

This review is for the Zerona treatments I received at Purelite Medical:
I purchased 2 Zerona packages at this facility. I would not recommend getting Zerona (either at this facility or as a treatment for fat reduction). I think the little results I saw were due to the Curva supplements they made me take (since I do not take niacin on a regular basis). I exercise on a regular basis and followed the directions this medical spa gave me as I was undergoing the Zerona treatments (watching my diet, drinking more water, etc.)
I did call other facilities, and it seems that each facility has «their own way» of using the machine (e.g. some places will use the machine to «spot reduce» your problem areas. Others will use the machine to treat your body «overall»). Purelite Medical used the machine to «spot reduce» my problem areas. As I was under the machine, I was not attended by a physician but rather by one of the front desk staff (I think she is the Office Manager?).
I can’t speak for the other services this medical spa provides.
The staff are nice (although it was difficult at times, since English is not the primary language for some employees here).
The parking lot is very small: you may have to find street parking.

After researching about the spectra laser, I decided to try a few treatments from this company to see if it really does what its supposed to do. It is recommended to have 10 treatments to see a difference and I had a total of 4. So far, I must admit that I do see a bit of difference but for the price, its going to take me a while to see the results that I’m wanting to see.
The results are more subtle compared to the IPL but keep in mind that IPL (s) are used to treat lesions on the skin’s surface and is more at risk to side effects, especially on olive skin. So if you have many freckles on the surface of your skin, IPL (s) might help but If your spots are deeper like mine, this laser might work better. This laser goes in deeper to treat more specific things like melasma, and with fewer side effects.
Bottom line:
IPL= more general laser, treats more skin deformities on surface of skin, might have more deals available because of its popularity, but more risky and won’t treat things like melasma that calls for deeper than surface treatment. Can be done 1 x per month.
Spectra = more subtle, requires more treatments, less risky, better for skin spots than for freckles, deeper laser to treat root rather than surface. Can be done 1 x per week.

Would I recommend this place? Yes, because I like the doctor and the staff is friendly. I took off a star because after some convincing, I bought the whitening cream they recommended but was bummed to find that it didn’t work for me. I hate purchasing on impulse for this reason. Obagi doesn’t even work on me :(. And it cost me $ 120 bucks. I could have saved on that for more treatments and perhaps better results. I’m not bitter, just frustrated LOL

My mother has these «beauty days» where she goes and gets a facial, a massage, haircut/​color, and her nails done. One of said beauty destinations is Purelite.
When I went back for a 2-​week stay-​cation at the parentals’ casa, I decided that I was going to do nothing but relax. And maybe a bit of working from home. But for the relaxing part, I told my mom I wanted to get a much-​needed facial, so she booked me an appointment with Peggy at Purelite.
Let me just tell you: I’ve never had extractions hurt this much before. But then, I’ve also never felt this great after a facial. My skin feels rejuvenated and rested after a bunch of different masks and treatments (I even fell asleep during a part of it).
I think they do other services like laser treatments, skin tightening, etc. My mom swears by this place, and her sisters fly in from out of town once a year to get some kind of laser thing done as well.
Overall, a super hidden place but a very quality job. $ 105 was for the facial ($ 75) and collagen treatment ($ 30).
