Hi-ya! Convenient location and good baked goods, but it’s tough to compare against since there are so many bakeries in the area. The prices are reasonable, but what makes it stand out to me are the tarts – yum.

I wanted to buy some baked goods for a friend and this bakery was the closest one. I was greeted right away by the friendly lady and she even recommended what to get. You get discount if you get pre-packed egg tarts and some roll cakes. $ 7 mininum for credit card. Free bread(green tea or taro) with $ 10 purchase. Too bad I don’t really like the bread I got. It’s kinda dry ;(The chocolate cookies were dry too. I had a hard time pulling the cookies from the plastic bag since the bag was too small to fit the cookies. I ended up breaking them to pieces ;( 2.5 stars! King Bakery is not too yummylicious!

Just can’t compare to the abundance of great bakeries in the area. Located inside the ever so popular HK plaza, I had expected better. The cream bun and pineapple bun were both really dry; I had to gulp down half a bottle of water to wash it down. The counter lady was nice but was trying very hard to sell some of the other items.

im eating FLOUR here… their bread is almost like im eating 100% flour. i passed by this little hidden bakery on my way to the hong kong supermarket in aisan plaza… this place is quite hidden and pretty small bakery. so anyways, i tried a few of their bread; coconut bread, custard, buttermilk, taro, and greentea.( ). and i like none of their bread… 1. coconut bread — the coconut cream inside taste really like whip cream and sugar 2. custard( ) — theres only one really thin layer of custard inside. 3. buttermilk( ) — only have one little tiny fot of buttermilk inside, the rest is just plain bread. 4. taro — so disappointed on this one. they seem to use taro jam for their filling which is a no no to me. dont get it if u expect they use real taro 5. green tea — this one is really a ‘BEH’… i like green tea bread with green tea filling. but since only few places have it, i was excited when picking this one. but guess what! their green tea is so powdery, i dont know what is made of, but its totally taste like artificial flavor green tea, definitely not real green tea i would say. even the color looks so artificial… Yes their bread is big, but i basically spent about $ 7.40 to buy their flour with a bit of their filling flavor. wont come back. if you like plain bread maybe you should come here, otherwise i wouldnt recommend. so why 2 stars?! coz their service is nice and they accept credit card for purchase of $ 7 or over… price wise is average, but compare to what i get, i would say its pricey. if it wasnt for their service, i prolly would give it 1star.

This bakery is small and can easily be missed. We ended up in here spontaneously. We ordered a strawberry short cake and a sponge cake and a pineapple bun. We ate the strawberry short cake and it was delicious but it had only one strawberry at the top of the cake, the center layer had none. The one I get from Wonder Bakery in Chinatown is full of strawberries, and the tartness of the strawberry adds a perfect contrast to the sweet cake. This was missing the spark, it was delicious though. I have not yet tried the pineapple bun or the spongecake square we purchased. The lady at the bakery was very nice and polite.

Got a birthday cake from King’s for my parents, since their birthdays are so close to each other. I phoned in to order the cake. The lady was very nice and very helpful. I gave her some of my criteria – for 4 people, fresh fruits, and writing of «Happy Birthday» in Chinese. She suggested for me to get a 6″ and told me that I can have a sign that says exactly what I wanted instead of hand written on the top of the cake, because the cake will be covered with fruits. When I went in to pick up the cake, the cashier immediately got the cake that was set aside for me. I paid with credit card. If you bought things less than $ 10, you’ll have to pay in cash. The cake was very soft and the fruits are fresh, exactly the way I like to present it to my parents. I want to give them the best!

relatively new bakery that took over diamond bakery in the HK market plaza. i found most of the staples(yuk sung bao, pineapple buns, green onion bread, cake rolls ‘n sponge cake)…my friends ‘n i thought everything was typical, nothing special, except that the cake rolls were a bit dry. i did not see any curry chicken pastries OR egg tarts — the two things i used to buy from diamond. boo.

this hasn’t always been king’s. it used to be diamond bakery i think the name was. not sure. i used to buy DELICIOUS mango mouse cakes. with jello custard and fruit on top… not sure how king’s cakes are well i went in the morning. and OHMYGOD. their roulette cake rolls are SOCHEAPCOMPAREDTOWHATIVEBEENSEEING. they were big as i’ve seen and only 4.25. but i didnt get one. but wow that price was shocking. my friend got a pork sung bun for her bf. and she said it wasn’t the normal asian bread texture. which is kind of weird. said it wasn’t soft and kind of porous? must go back to try more! but they had a pretty large selection of breads and toast!.. and i think the prices are cheaper than some
