Food is really good! I come here all the time with the fambam. Come earlier than noon to escape the crowd for lunch. Service could honestly be better – waiters could be more attentive when customers are waving at them. Jason is SO nice btw.

SISSIISTHEWORSTSERVEREVER. came in on a Friday and she was rude from the very beginning. She gave my friend and I dirty looks and her tone towards us was so rude. All the other servers in the restaurant were nice but it seemed like sissi was not in a good mood.

Everytime I come here I always get the Taiwanese spicey. It’s so bomb especially if you love really spicey food. You get a free green or black tea when you come here for lunch. Prices are not too bad and the sauce is amazing.

Recently raised their prices by a dollar, but you’ll still see me here during lunch hours for their complimentary green/black tea & cheaper lunch prices! My go-to is the lamb hot pot, medium spiciness level. It’s a perfect level of heat & flavor for me & using their garlicky, soy sauce-like dipping sauce makes it 10x better! I always end up taking home my left-overs and it easily serves as another meal for me. Be prepared to wait though — it’s a relatively small place & there’s usually a couple of groups waiting ahead of you when you arrive. The service isn’t the best but honestly I don’t mind since I prefer to eat leisurely rather than eat and leave in a hurry.

Forgot our chopsticks. Forgot our spoons. Forgot our waters. Forgot our straws for our boba drinks. Kept waiving for a server. Like really… Not worth my money to tip these servers to do their damn jobs. The food was good though.

I used to come here a lot before it was super popular(the waiting can get kind of crazy during dinner time). Food/drinks: The hot pots are really good for the price! + it comes with rice/noodles. Their drinks(milk tea specifically) are surprisingly good for a place that doesn’t specialize in drinks. Their boba pearls are a weird size though(smaller than regular large boba pearls, but bigger than the minis). I just don’t get it with the pearls. Service: When they’re busy, their service is really hit or miss. They’re either never checking up on you because they’re so busy or frequently stopping by because they don’t want to make multiple trips and your table may be on the way. They’re all generally very kind and reasonable though. OH, my mom found a big fly in her pot once though. I have never had an issue like this, but she told me they took it back right away, didn’t charge her for the pot, and gave her a card for a free hot pot at her next visit. Overall: I would come here if I craved hot pot; however, if you’re already in the area, you might as well go to Smelly Pot(less crowded, similar prices, similar in quality of food) or Momo Paradise(REALLY good, free curry rice on the side, a bit more expensive though, long waits for dinner time). Boiling Points are everywhere. If you’re in Rowland/Industry, try something different(things open and close here so often so don’t go for the super popular places unless you’ve really just been dying to come here).

Yay! Back to Boiling Point, and this time to the Rowland Heights one! So you ask, why did I come to the RH one even though there was one in the city I live in? Well I’m glad you probably didn’t ask but I shall tell you anyways xP They have a promo going on for the next week or so(til 5÷16÷2016, or while supplies last), where they are pushing a new product out. It’s a herbal jelly gelatin or an organic tofu pudding and they want people to try it out and give comments to see if it’s marketable. And for some reason, it’s here only! So we got a comment card and ate something that’s probably gonna be $ 3.25+ for free(1 per person). It tastes pretty good but there could be some improvements, but we’ll see how they do it: P I ordered number 3, the korean bean paste hot pot and it came out pretty quickly. It took a while to boil up but by that time I had already finished the veggies in the soup(: They have a lot of ingredients in here. Tip Numero Uno: For people who don’t frequent BP, you get a free green or black tea during lunch hours. Tip Numero Dos: They have stamp cards, ask for em! :) Anywho, number 3 contains udon, rice ovalets, what looks like kimchi, Soybean Sprouts, Nira, Green Zucchini, Pork Belly, Fish Tofu, Kamaboko, Tempura, Enoki Mushroom, one piece of Fish Fillet, Fish Ball, Seaweed, and Korean Paste. Make sure you take your time beforehand and use BP sauces to make the flavor you want(they are on the sides of the table). You get rice/noodles as well so you can put the noodles in the pot to cook or eat the rice with the ingredients(I have yet to try this lol). It’s pretty good, but do realize that different people have different tastes and that different people can like different pots: P There’s a decent amount of seating in here, but it got jam packed around 11:40AM(they open at 11), so make sure you try and beat the lunch rush! Located in Diamond Plaza next to Duke Bakery :3 Also you get a lychee drink when you finish: D. Also good. Tip Numero Tres: If possible, sit away from the door on windy days. Opening the door gives a draft and your feet get cold: P Sit on the right side of the restaurant if you are susceptible to cold/windy(:

Bad service ever. 3 – 4 staff stand, chatting and dont care abt customer. The one who take my order is stupid since they ask me spice level for my soup which suppose to none spice. I order 2 soup and 2 water and 2 noodle and they only bring me 2 soup. I have to ask them 3 time to get my water and they act like they dont want to service me. I bring the bill and they ask me write the tip before the charge. It is never happen to me Moreover, I cant even eat me veg cuz it is bad, they may put it 2 – 3 day under the sun, some turn dark. I hate their service, i hate they attitude I wont come back

I’m completely addicted… To their #4 beef, medium spicy, with vermicelli hot pot. If I’m hangry, I order an extra vermicelli to inhale. I go to BP so often that I’ve developed a routine on how I savor the pot. First, right when the pot gets brought out, I quickly fish for all the beef and put it in my bowl so it doesn’t over cook and stays tender. Then, I dig for all the vermicelli that already comes in the pot just to make sure it don’t over cook as well. After that, I put in my order of vermicelli in and seriously, that’s the best part with the soup IMO. Lastly, I always save the corn for last for two reasons. First, it had all that time to soak up the spicy flavorful soup. And second, it’s a little sweet so it partially satisfies my dessert craving at the end of the meal. OMG how dare I forget to mention the crack garlic sauce that you need to dip everything in! My husband and I drink that thing. We normally use half of the full container just by ourselves. Too bad they sell their other sauces but not that! Try to come for an earlier dinner to beat the crowd. It’s not fun waiting for a table here because people take their sweet time eating this extra hot pot. I’m guilty as charged!

The spicy noodle was actually really good here, the only thing is it was just tooooooo spicy that it felt like my insides were cooking. A little less spicy and a little more broth and it’d be a perfect dish!

I’ve been wanting to try hot pot for quite a while, and what better place to start than at Boiling Point? I came here on a Sunday afternoon with my sister and two of our friends. Although it was crowded, we were seated within 10 minutes and served fairly quickly. We ordered two hot pots: the house special and the beef soup. With each hot pot came a free green or black tea. We chose the black, and it was good! They also accommodated us with steamed rice and water cups. The hot pot was good… Just beware that the house special has stinky tofu! I did not read the menu closely enough, and this particular item on the menu has a bunch of «special» items like blood sausage, clam, and stinky tofu. The whole soup tasted like it, so if that’s not your thing, just keep that in mind. You can also adjust the spiciness of the soup, so that was nice. Service was pleasant and had no complications. At the end of our meal, they brought the check with little cups of juice with basil seeds. So cute! I would come back here for hot pot. Just not for the stinky tofu!

i’ve only visited the bp location in irvine until last night… and the rowland location didn’t live up to the expectations set by the irvine location. i got the usual beef hot soup but the meat quality was poorer than the irvine location. and usually with«medium spicy» it’s already pretty borderline intolerable for me at the irvine location but there was barely any spice in my beef hot soup. had i known should’ve gone with very spicy like my friend. ventilation isn’t the best, i definitely left the location smelling like i’ve been hosed down by taiwanese food. i do appreciate the consistent service quality. the staff are all very nice and accommodating. i don’t like the fact that they don’t let you box your own food because… god knows what kind of post-processing they do to your leftovers… and my suspicions were proven true since i just found a speckle of hair in my leftover rice. so there… pick and choose the bp locations at your own discretion.

I love Boiling Point!!! I honestly do… When I used to go to school in Davis, whenever I came home, Boiling Point would be the first meal that I got. The pots are the same size during lunch and dinner, and the dinner price is more expensive, so definitely come during lunch(before 3PM) if you can! The lunch price also includes a small green or black tea. You can’t change the sweetness on the tea level because it’s pre-made, but you can change the ice level! Get less ice or no ice cause at least half the cup is always filled with ice. I love the Lamb Hot Soup, but my family always gets the House Special, which has stinky tofu. Don’t get me wrong, I love stinky tofu, but I prefer lamb over pork, so that’s why I get the lamb! All the pots are pre-made and they just add sauce, spice, and soup when they cook it in the back, that’s why there are no substitutions! All soups come with a side of rice or vermicelli(glass noodles)! There are 10 soups total. 1 – 7 are the standard size pot($ 10.99 lunch, $ 11.99 dinner) and 8 – 10 are the slightly bigger pots($ 14.99 lunch, $ 15.99 dinner). You cannot get a standard sized pot larger or a larger pot standard sized. Like I said, it’s all pre-prepared. All the soups come with pork, except the Beef Hot Soup, Lamb Hot Soup, and Taiwanese Spicy Hot Soup! Those three come with beef, lamb, and beef, respectively. They have a new Pomelo soup, which I don’t ever plan on trying because my grandma did once and said it was gross, so I don’t know what meat is in that one. All the ingredients are listed on the menu though! The spice level varies with the cook preparing it in the back, but I’ve realized that during the day the levels are spicier than the levels at night. Sorry, if that doesn’t make sense, here’s an example: I would probably get medium spicy during the day and very spicy at night and they’d taste the same! You can get a custom spice level for every soup except for the Taiwanese Spicy Hot Soup because that one only comes flaming spicy! If you wanna order that soup, but don’t want it to be that spicy, the trick is to still order it and when they bring it out, scoop one or two bowls of the soup out and then tell them to add more broth! It’ll be perfect then! Along with the preset soups, there are more ingredients on the back that you can add! I’m always full after the one soup, so I don’t add anything else. They present the soup to you on this box-like thing and there’s a flame underneath to keep the soup hot/let it boil. You can ask the sever to extinguish the fire at anytime or if your fire runs out, you can ask them to add more fire! The drinks are also really good here. Would recommend the Hokkaido milk tea or the Old Time(?) or is it Fashioned(?) milk tea! At the end of the meal, they give like a small shot glass sized drink that consists of a lemonade sort of drink and basil seeds in it! It’s sweet, but has a sour punch to it! The wait gets extremely long during rush hours and that’s for all Boiling Points! Once you get seated though, the wait for food isn’t that long!

This is probably the Boiling Point that I frequent most often when I’m in SoCal. Boiling Point really varies from location to location for me. This place, overall, is ok. I like how this place is located in a big asian shopping/food plaza, but this plaza gets hella packed on weekends so parking may be a bit of a hassle. But there are lots of shops to wander around while you’re waiting to be seated. As for the food, I usually order the lamb hot soup. The lamb meat in the soup is okay… nothing too special. I highly recommend letting your soup boil/cook for a while before you start eating. Even though the stuff is mostly cooked, you don’t want to risk getting food poisoned(happened to my friend once). I always get«Mild» for my spice level. I find that at this BP, the soup is actually the least oily, for some reason. So that’s a good thing! The soup has a lot of flavor and is definitely the thing that keeps me coming back again and again. Service here is slower than other BPs that I’ve been to :(We always wait quite a long time before our food arrives. Other than that, though, this place is still great. The soup is my favorite part, the rest of the food is ok, and the service is meh. Averages out to a 3-star rating for me…

Good food, good service. I have been to several boiling points and they do not disappoint. The selections are the same, seating area is fair and the food quality is good. If there are particular food that you do not wish to have, let them know in advance and they can accommodate your request. I do have to say that with the type of business that handles with hot soup being carried around, the patrons there have to watch their kids or don’t bring them to this restaurant. Watching a kid screaming and running around was nerve wrecking and uneasy. I would recommend lunch if you have the time to sit down and eat for an hour or more. It is unexpected to be a quick meal.

After riding the hotpot hype train, I’ve settled on boiling point as my favorite hotpot place. Good selection of soups, fresh ingredients, and decent drink selection won me over. I’ve been to the Rowland location twice and had a positive experience both times. My favorite soup is the Thai flavor. It comes with a generous portion of seafood in addition to slices of lamb. The ingredients are crisp and fresh. The soup is the perfect blend of sour and savory. Give it a try if you enjoy Tom Yum soup. In addition to good soups, boiling point has a decent tea selection. Even the free green tea you get at lunch is well brewed! Service here is bare. You order, get your food, and are left alone until it’s time to pay. I don’t mind this, but if you have special needs or require attentive service, skip this place. They’re so busy at the Rowland location you’re nothing more than a table to be turned.

Boiling Point is a nice spot to grab some hot pot. They have 10 different types of soups you can get. 6 of the hotpots are of a smaller size and 4 are larger. There are vegetarian options and various types of meat and seafood typical of hotpot. Lunch costs less than Dinner and Lunch also includes a beverage. What makes BP so great for me is the variety of sauces they have for you to use. They have a soybean paste sauce, a dark sauce with minced garlic, and a chili oil. Usually you mix it together and it tastes so good. I even add it to my soup to make it more flavorful! I usually(almost always) get the Thai flavored hotpot which has an assortment of vegetables, pork, clam, shrimp, crab. It’s very good. The wait at this Boiling Point location is not too bad. The parking lot in the plaza can be a little tricky but they also have underground parking and a meter that shows how many vacant parking spots there are.

Hot pot is amazing but be prepared to wait if you come during peak hours. We got the beef hot pot and the lamb hot pot. Both super popular and both are good. You get more soup if you would like. The hokkaido milk tea was sold out by the time we got there. So the honey milk tea was the next contender, it was extremely good.

Every time I come to this place, I see a line. That must be saying something… So, after being here multiple times, I can finally say that this place is one of my favorite restaurants while being here in SoCal. To be honest with you, the first time I tried it, I thought it was mediocre. I don’t even remember what I ordered but I probably got the wrong item on the menu because the next few times I came, it was !!! My go to would be the beef hotpot but if I were starving I would definitely get the Thai hotpot because the broth is so damn delicious! They just need to have the ingredients of the beef hotpot with the Thai broth. BUT it is not all about their hotpot… I have to give a little shout out to their sauce! Don’t know what is in it but it’s like CRACK, keeps me coming back for more. I actually contemplated on getting a bottle to go but my cravings had been fulfilled so maybe next time. The last time I came here was on a busy Sunday and I was pretty impressed with their service. Our meal came out super quick and thank god because we were starving! Although the servers were scrambling all over the place, they managed to check up on us multiple times asking if we needed more broth, to put out the fire, and bringing us cups of water when needed. And to think we were going to be ignored because we sat in the corner at the bar– and when I say bar it is not close to the kitchen at all. At the end of the meal, we waved down our server to get the check and he came back with two dessert drinks and the bill. It pretty much tastes like lemonade with basil seeds but it really is the cherry on top! Needless to say, I’ll probably be back again… and again… and again! Tip: Come here during lunch! All the hot pots are a dollar cheaper and you get a free drink too, either green tea or black tea(I like the green tea).

Another location, but still the same great taste. It seems like every Asian area you go to in SoCal, there has to be a Boiling Point nearby. The plaza is always crowded with a bunch of restaurants to choose from. Parking can be a little tight but you’ll find a spot. Yes people, expect a wait when you come here. It’s crowded for a reason. However, once you’re seated, the service is great. Food comes out within minutes and you are salivating at the pot’s deliciousness. I stick to the house special hot pot. This location seems to give me more things in my pot than the other locations(i.e. intestines, meat, cabbage). If you haven’t heard of Boiling Point by now, you’re living under a rock. Go try it!
