I recently visited Yoyo’s Frozen Yogurt store in the Ikea shopping center while out with a friend. It was a spur of the moment«Hey lets get some ice cream» situation. We enjoyed our time there, which was mid afternoon so very quiet. The employee there was very nice. Disclaimer here: I don’t often go out for frozen yogurt, so other Unilocalers thoughts are all I have to compare this to. As others have stated get a bowl, fill the bowl, weigh the bowl, pay for said bowl. I kinda like the do it yourself-ness. The free wi-fi is a nice touch. I enjoyed the flavors I chose. I tried the pumpkin cheese cake, salted caramel, moon-pie, and chocolate flavors. They were good. They also offered a non-dairy watermelon, a Gelato Cake– both of which sound interesting to me, and others. There were interesting and fun toppings, sauces, etc. Some of which I have never seen before — like bursting fruit balls(The lady had to explain what they were to us). They also offered candy, cheese cake cubes, brownie cubes, etc. I found the décor to NOT include any writing on the walls — so I guess we missed that experience. I do think it’s a Kawaii style décor.(You know, cutsie Japanese) I kinda expected to hear Japanese pop while there — but didn’t hear any music at all. It was neat and clean and colorful. We had a good time and I like the proximity to the shopping area. I also like that it is NOT a ‘main-dish’ place but a dessert place. It was just right for what we needed.

YoYo’s has 12 rotating flavors which also have the option to be swirled together. They have a small bar of mix-ins. I love the décor, the glass tables and red plastic walls are very modern and attractive. I got cheesecake/cookies with chocolate chip cookie dough. I really enjoyed our yogurt and toppings. The cookie dough toppings were an especially nice touch.

YoYo’s is okay but it doesn’t have as much selection as other frozen yogurt places. That’s when it comes to flavors and toppings. It’s was 11 and some change for my girlfriend and I, so it’s not too expensive. I personally probably won’t go back because the yogurt was watery and nothing about the place made me have that«I want to go back» feeling.

Stopped by to treat the kids to yogurt and ended up getting a Strawberry Nutella crêpe for myself as well. The crêpe was a little pricey but well worth it. They were generous on the nutella and it was so pretty I didn’t want to eat it! The kids tried the cake batter yogurt and they had fun doing the self serve and piling on the toppings… Beware tho, they charge by weight so my older sons yogurt was over $ 5! Décor was nice and clean. Wish they had more candy offerings.

Stopped in after lunch today for a treat. The flavor choices were good(I liked my peanut butter fudge) and the yogurt tasty. There weren’t a lot of topping choices, but they had my favs so I was a-ok with that.

Good yogurt choices, clean atmosphere, and a nice simple stop when you are done shopping or eating elsewhere. you can fulfill your sweet tooth needs. They have many variations of yogurt and they also have them swirled as well. Pick your bowl, fill to what you need, add your toppings, and pay for the weight of it all. Straight and simple… pretty much like other Fro-Yo locations.

Pretty good fro yo in this place… my favorite was the peanut butter. This is our second favorite right behind the front porch, it’s number one in our opinion.

Why only 2.5 stars? This place is great! The flavors, with the exception of cake batter, taste unartificial like most yogurt places. The workers are always friendly and if drop by on a weekend afternoon, you’ll be sure to run into the manager(& i think owner as well) who’ll come talk to you and make sure you’re happy with her business. My only complaint is the size of cups and the brownie bites… but otherwise a great place to enjoy a cool treat!

Not good. The yogurt was not solid at all and we tried to let them know and the response was«oh the chocolate is weird». The crêpe tasted like a stale tortilla. Was filled with Nutella but I couldn’t taste it.

Slamming anything in Round Rock feels like a shame — we revel in new, tasty businesses, especially within the IKEA solar system. This yogurt shop earns a MEH for only having a few flavors on a Saturday afternoon. Seriously, I got plain tart and chocolate. Not what I’m usually after when I think Crazy! Yogurt!Flavors! They also have only one outside table. And while I realize the burden is on SimonMalls to be better landlord and create more options for tenants, it’s a letdown. We did not try the crepes, but the price seems high at $ 5. We like the Yogurt Experience on the north side of 1431 much, much better. This yogurt shop could do more to distinguish itself from the herd, especially being next door to decent Indian food and drawing from the IKEA international crowd. Cardamom yogurt, anyone?

Someone below wrote«good idea, bad execution» and I think that statement is accurate. What I like: the machines are very nice and new, and they seem to deliver a very high quality yogurt. the bad: the worst selection of toppings ever! No Heath, snickers, kit-kat, cheesecake, etc, etc, etc. Really crappy selection of toppings that killed the experience for me.

This place was REALLY meh-worthy. With so many froyo places in Austin, you need to stand out and offer at least flavors that are interesting and tasty. This place falls very short of that. There are some interesting flavors, but between my boyfriend and I, we tried at least 6 flavors and none of them tasted very good… Additionally, my boyfriend got a flavor that we couldn’t even identify. He forgot what all flavors he chose and we couldn’t even figure out what this flavor was supposed to be based on the choices that day… that’s not right. They also had a pretty poor selection of toppings and I couldn’t find most of what I love so much about other froyo places. The writing on the wall doesn’t bother me so much as other Unilocalers. I don’t think it looks«ghetto,» but it’s definitely not. er. attractive. With all the other options in Austin/RR, I won’t be coming back here.

I have been there three times now and every time has been a poor experience for a different reason. The last trip convinced me that it was time to write a review. It was Friday night at 8pm and after finishing dinner, the wife and I decided to head over to YoYo’s and try the crepes(I am a major sucker for crepes having had them in France last year). When we first arrived, the smell inside the restaurant was overwhelming. It was some sort of cleaning product or something but my wife had to sit outside because it was making her feel ill. I ordered two crepes for my wife and I. 15 minutes later, we still didn’t have any crepes. Why? There was only one guy working on a Friday night! I don’t blame him — I felt sorry for the guy. He seemed like a really nice person but after 15 minutes, he wasn’t any closer to making our crepes. I asked for a refund and we decided to skip dessert. Last visit to YoYo’s for our family.

Good Idea, Bad Execution! Not going to waste too much time here, not worth the effort. The Yogurt tasted like the worst fat free ice milk, the chocolate tasted as if it was frozen chocolate water. not creamy, i don’t believe it was even yogurt. Bar with do-it yourself mix ins could have been great but sold by weight, three modest yogurts $ 18.00 ouch 6 bucks a piece for Chocolate Ice Water, other flavors just as grainy and watery, go ½ mile away to Yogurt Experience for a good experience. YOYO will be out of Business in less than a year…

I like the décor and the topping they offer at the place. If i was still in school, the walls that you can write on with markers would have really came in handy for study groups to meet. They have a big selection on toppings and the most suprising of all is that they actually have Mochi(small white chewy balls) when most yogurt places dont carry that. The second visit I went with trying their crêpe because they had a special where it was a dollar off when you get a crêpe with yogurt. The strawberry nutella crêpe was amazing, it was a big size so me and my roommate shared one. All in all, the location is convienent if you are shopping at the outlets or at Ikea.

Come on. .. whose genius idea was it to let people(kids) draw in black(and only black) marker all over the walls? It looks like a freakin’ ghetto. It looks like taggers have attacked the place. Really, it looks like shit. I was laughing when the bathroom doors were drawn on and then noticed a sign posted asking the drawers not to draw on the back wall or the bathrooms! Yeah. That worked REAL well. What a pit. 1 extra star for having«mini sour gummi worms.»

I like the interior and thickness of the yogurt(this is probably because the place is new, well air conditioned, and not too many people know about it yet), but the flavor selection is unnatural or unpleasant foods/too artificial. Ex: bubblegum, cake batter, cheesecake. I prefer other yogurt shops. P. S. They are hardcore-copying Yogurt Land, a big chain of yogurt places near Los Angeles.

I thought this place was just another yogurt shop… And it is. The thing that sets yoyo apart, however is their toppings: Great fruit selection and huge chunks of brownie and cookie dough. I will be coming back soon.

The frozen yogurt was just okay… but WAIT until you see the pictures! Hold, on, hold on… I get ahead of myself. Yogurt… Frozen… let’s do that first. If you have ever had it, this is the same. More grainy than ice cream, but you eat it because it tastes good and presumably have fewer calories and fat. You pick up really big cups by the front door(I think the smallest was pint sized) then you fill them up with yogurt. They had some interesting flavors like peanut butter, pomegranate, cheesecake… about 10 flavors. Then you step up at the toppings bar… They have all the normal stuff like crushed candy bars and different sprinkles, but… wait a second… !%#!%@# Fruity Pebbles??? Uh, okay. I guess… Then you weigh it, pay $ 0.40 /ounce and eat it. Okay, fine. I get it. The décor — Picture Captain Kirk in 1963 trying to design a yogurt shop for the Enterprise. That is what this place looks like. I thought that would be cool, but it just feels so damn artificial and creepy.(see pictures) Tip jar — Uh… for what? I picked up the cup, put the yogurt in, and put toppings on it. WTF do you want a tip for??? A 100% do-it-yourself place, and the folks behind the counter expect a tip? The disapproving stare as I put my change back in my pocket changed a 3-star to a 2-star review. If you like frozen yogurt, and you happen to be here, fine. Go ahead. Have a good laugh at the décor. I probably won’t be back.
