I love this place we go every week for trivia(geeks who drink) the only reason for 4 out of 5 stars is the menu… It’s ok but most of the food is fried this fine most of the time but sometimes I’d like more non fried options. We ask to be served by one of two waitresses there kayla or Ashly as those to girls are the best! Other servers we have had there are just. Not the same! The prices are right on for what you get they have some great week night specials every week. I’ve been seeing their burger special for Thursday nights and been thinking we’re going to have to try it some time is like 2 burger 2 fries and drinks for $ 10 This place also show ufc fights(sometimes not on all the tvs) but they show them!

Very nice beer selection. Apps were good. Typical sports bar environment. Worthy of at least a couple more tries.

My wife and I were invited to join another couple at the Westside Ale House to listen to a band in the outdoor pavilion. The facility looks new and quite right for a sports bar with many local and domestic beers. We sat under the covered pavilion which was well equipped for cold or warm weather events i.e. heaters and fan driven misters. We ordered beer of our individual choosing and enjoyed the live music. We had eaten earlier and have no comment regarding the food quality, but after reading the other reviews, I am hesitant to arrive with plans to eat here. The only down-side we experienced was the absence of adequate parking. If a patron had not departed at the same time we arrived, we would not have found a parking spot until someone else had decided to leave. Second trip to Westside Alehouse: I visited at the Alehouse again, this time on a date with my daughter. We both ordered the Reuben and a salad. The salad was fresh and the dressing was spicy hot. I had never eaten a salad with spicy dressing, but this was a nice combination of flavors. The beef on the sandwich was very tasty. The sauerkraut garnish provided a nice complimentary flavor along with the rich tasting rye bread. Combined with a beer of our preference, we shared a nice meal.

Westside Alehouse! What happened? You all were so great when you first opened. My girl friends and I came in last week to grab some brews and enjoy a nice dinner on the patio. After a long week we wanted to go somewhere that we knew would have great music and good beer. So… this is the reason for my 2* review… we waited for 30 minutes before a server greeted us. 30 minutes. We did not have water or even menus to keep us distracted. It would be one thing if you were slammed, but the patio was semi empty. Plus all of the other tables were getting drinks and food. There were two servers tending to the patio and someone who appeared to be a supervisor. All three employees stopped at every other table near us but never came to our table. Each time all three people would look at us, turn around and go back inside. By the time someone finally brought us water, it took another 15 minutes to get just a beer/food menu. Surprisingly, our food came out in record speed. I hope this was just a fluke.

All these bad reviews are whack af. Walked in for the first time ever tonight. Saturday night at 10pm. Main bar area had a few spots so I sat down and made myself at home. I was immediately noticed and helped/greeted by a friendly bartender lady covered in tattoos. She showed great knowledge in the beer selection and helped me pick out a proper blonde ale for the evening. This is vital to me as a beer snob and going to an alehouse I need other opinions on beers and such. My lady bartender had to do some stuff to do and noticed that she communicated clearly with co-workers that she would be busy and updated a man with a beard with what was going on. My beer was empty and was promptly served. I was also having wings, being a filthy animal and cretin while I eat these I use alot of napkins. They anticipated my sloppy methods and without asking was given extra napkins and moist towelettes. It’s the little things. Wings on point. Service on point. Gtfo home run. Anyways this place is the bomb. Peace out.

Great place to watch the ufc pay per view fights except when Texas or Texas a & m have games on. There are tons of «ufc lives here» banners. It is almost 1 hour into the pay per view and the fight is on two televisions. The preliminary fights were on one. Will look for another bar to watch ufc fights at in the area.

Service was good. Paid WAYTO much for beer. $ 9 each. Really??? They need to lower their prices on draft beer.

We’ve passed by this place a few times and often wondered what type of food they had. Well, last night we decided to give it a try. On a Wednesday night, there was a pretty good size crowd of people, but still ample seating. We were greeted immediately by the manager on duty and promptly greeted by our server, Taylor. Taylor was bubby and super nice and took our drink order. Hubby ordered the pear alle and I just got a water with lemon. We ordered the jerk wings because they were half off for the Wed. special. The wings were hot, fresh and well done, like we like them. For entrees I ordered the Southwestern chicken sandwich and hubs ordered the chicken wrap. Both were delicious and made perfectly. We were pleased and will be back to try other items on the menu.

I really like this restaurant. Finally went in after driving by a million times on IH-35 and I’m glad I did. The place is set up great for sports! Tons and tons of televisions everywhere. I don’t think one seat could have a bad angle. Bar stretches across the back wall area and tons of beers on tap. The bacon cheese fries are amazing!!! The hotter than hell wings are also superb. If you’re feeling adventurous you could try the burger challenge. It has 33 dried ghost peppers, 33 Thai chilies,&33 habaneros all piled high on a burger also mixed full of those spicy delights(with a few others too)! I love spicy things, but even I’m too chicken to try that one!

My friend and I were at a dumpy bar with standing room only watching the UFC fights when the super cool Brooke A commented that Westside Alehouse was showing the fights for free. We thought, «why not?» So we headed to RR to meet up with them to watch the fights. What a cool bar. Really nice, open area with TVs everywhere. There’s no bad vantage point in this place. I’m not a beer drinker, so I can’t comment on the beer or food, but the atmosphere & servers were awesome. We ended up standing for a little while, but some crazy couple left before the Main Event(Ronda Rousey fight) & we got seats right next to my friends. Totally cool! I would definitely recommend this place to watch a sporting event. People say the food is good & I will just have to see next time. This was a spur of the moment trek for us & we were not disappointed.

If I could give this place .03 of a star I would. Just like the other customers posted a couple of days ago did. Renee does NOT know management skills at all. Ruined our time there. Server was slow. Kids tearing up the $ 3000 table and Renee didn’t give a crap to help the owners take care of the property. Also, table next to us called my buddy’s wife a bitch for saying something to the manager. Won’t go back

West side has all kinds of daft beer selections, it’s a great place for me and my co workers to go to after work. The food is okay. But they have really great lunch specials! And every time we want to spend our time at west side, their is never a wait and always a place to sit.

I normally don’t do reviews but feel I have to. Our server was slow at best. There were tables both inside and out and the servers were managed badly. You know it’s bad when you have to hail the server anytime you wanted or needed something. I will not give this establishment another chance… And I love beer. There are much better choices in the area.

I love this place! I am kinda surprised I haven’t written about it yet. Westside Alehouse has a great laid-back atmosphere. It’s kind of upscale for a sports bar — more of a sports grill really. They have live music outside in a nice patio area complete with trees and fans. Inside they have many screens featuring a variety of sports. There’s a big shuffle board game too. It’s even family friendly. The food is great. Never had something I disliked here. Fried pickles and fried mushrooms are my guilty crave. I don’t do a lot of fried food — but really these are great. I want to try the sauerkraut balls, but have not yet done so. Even my food allergic besty can enjoy this place! Although beer is not my thing, my man likes the beer selection. He always asks what’s new. Also they have a «beer flight» which my man, and his friends enjoy. It’s a graduated tasting of several flavors of beer presented in an arc shaped array. It is certainly amusing. The only negative would be limited parking when they are busy. It can be almost impossible to find parking and the hotel behind has signs adamantly stating you’ll be towed if you park there for the Alehouse. Vehicles can usually be found having parked in non-parking spaces as a result. So if your meeting a group it might be a good idea try to ride together.

I honestly love this place. The staff is super friendly — also very attentive but not so attentive you’re annoyed. They always have $ 3 margaritas which I LOVE. Music this restaurant plays is great, and they really do have some damn good food. I haven’t had one bad experience. You can also play pool! :D If you’re in Round Rock and are looking for a cool, chill spot to be, I highly recommend Westside Alehouse.

We love this place. Food is good, good prices, family friendly and pretty good service. We go here to watch the games with our small baby and appreciate the changing station. The food is surprisingly good for sports bar. The salads are really fresh and the sandwiches and burgers are awesome. My husband loves the beer selection. They have 52 beers on tap for the Gingerman and Brass Tap fans, but much better pricing. They usually have fun seasonals that you can try if you ask. It’s a great place to meet friends or just grad a drink and some good food. Warning: Trivia Night gets pretty crowded.

I honestly have no idea what the negative reviews are all about!?! my wife and I stopped in for lunch and a drink after shopping today, unlike others on here we found great service, great food, and a fun atmosphere. Let me address the negative comments regarding others have posted… Service: it’s a large bar, not a five star restaurant! if that’s what you’re after then go to one, don’t come on here and slam a place for having«bar waitresses» at a bar! everyone we ran into today was very nice, helpful, and happy. Food: Again, it’s a bar and grill, and they have great bar and grill food! I had the patty melt and my wife had the nachos, both came to our table piping hot and very delicious! fries were great, drinks were good, and the bar and restaurant area was clean and inviting. Atmosphere: very clean, fun, lots of TV’s playing sports, lots of natural light from all the windows. really nice overall! I really think most« Unilocalers» go into a place looking to find the negative. trust me, if your looking for good bar food, good drinks, friendly staff, and a clean, nice, and fun place to get those while watching some sports Westside Alehouse is a great choice.

Poker on Wednesday nights! Located just off the frontage road of I-35 in RoundRock, Westside Alehouse offers an open sports bar feel with taps and apps! While I enjoyed the place for its seating, friendly staff, app choices, and patio with live music(thur, fri, sat), the location is quite odd. You have to go north and hit the turn around to get to it. This alone would keep me from frequenting this diamond in the rough. If you live in RR and or you work in RR, this is a great place for happy hour. Monday — Kids Eat Free Tuesday — $ 2 off Apps Wednesday — Half price wings Thursday — 2 Cheeseburgers and a large order of fries /$ 10.95 — Din in only Mr. Smidgens just may go back, because the staff was o0h so very pleasant! Oh, and they have several beers on tap! Soooo thirsty all of a sudden…

Oh Round Rock! You’ve grown and changed so much since I first moved there. You’re trying so hard to add cool restaurants and bars. Since I’ve been coming back to visit my parents I’ve been seeing all kinds of new places pop up. This place definitely caught my eye driving on I-35. So to be honest my most favorite part of the evening was sitting outside on the patio. The weather was nice and it was perfect. The outdoor area isn’t anything fancy but it’s comfortable. My hubby and I were in town and my parents told me that their friend was playing at this place. Awesome. We had something fun to do on a Friday night. Of course prior to going out I was checking out my handy dandy Unilocal.I saw my friend Mark M’s review and knew to go in without any expectation. I checked out their website and was excited about the variety of beers they had. A plus was they had fried pickles so I knew that hubby and I had to check them out. In Mark M’s review he mentioned that the server wasn’t very helpful or knowledgeable in beer. There was so many to choose from and I also wanted to test out our server. I was asking about one of the beers(I can’t even remember) and she asked if I had some other local beer trying to reference it and I said no and she didn’t really have anything else to say. To make it easy I asked what seasonal beers they had and instead of nicely telling me about them she just showed me her list. I went with some local Octoberfest and luckily of course we all liked it. Hubby and I have eat our fair share of fried pickles. These were decent. The breading was thin and seemed to stay on when we ate them. It didn’t have much flavor because the pickle taste came through pretty dominantly. Not a bad thing but the breading just seemed to be decoration. It was served with a Chipotle Ranch which was pretty good. For entrees my husband and dad got burgers which they both loved. My husband said that the meat patty seemed like they made it. He enjoyed his burger. I got Matt’s Famous Grilled Cheese which was cheddar, Monterrey jack, guac, bacon and tostado chips on sourdough bread. When I took my first bite I totally forgot about the chips but it added a good texture and nice corn flavor. It was all a great combination decent sandwich but it was ugh-mazing. Service was decent. We were there to see the band and hang out. We had to flag our server down a few times because she seemed to always check on us when we didn’t need anything but when we did need something we had to find her. The inside of this place smelled funny. It wasn’t pleasant. There seems to be many different places to sit inside. You can have a booth, table, high table or at the bar. There were plenty of TVs if you wanted to sit and watch a game. It’s cool that there’s a place with lots of beer to choose from but I’ll need do my own research before I go since the servers seem to be no help. «E» for effort.
