I have been going to Anna for years. She is an amazing stylist! She listens to what you want and will be helpful and honest when she knows that your hair will not do what the picture you brought in looks like. She’s fantastic with color and always on top of the latest trends and best practices. I could not ask for a better stylist. Absolutely recommend!!! Oh and she’s smart and funny as hell to boot.

I booked an appointment for my daughter and they were running about 40 minutes behind. When they finally got to us the attitude of the lady was very short and rude as if we were wasting her time. Turns out it was one of the owners we were working with. Trashy is right… never again.

Recently moved from Houston and I’m looking for a new salon to do my hair, seeing that driving back and forth is too inconvenient. I’ve had red hair for the past 7 years recently dyed it pink and I was wanting to go back to red, seeing this salon was edgy I decided to give it a try hoping they knew about color. I called to make an appointment and told the receptionist I have pink hair and want to go to red, considering she’d put me with the appropriate hair dresser. I go into my app. And my stylist didn’t seem up for the challenge. She couldn’t guarantee me a red bc of the pink. First they wanted to add bleach but not do a bleach cap then she took it back and was just going to add color to try to get it to my desired color. The owner and stylist kept going back and forth on what to do with my hair. I worked 7yrs in a hair salon and not once did changing my red become an issue in the past. The owner down talked about the color line I used yet whatever line they use couldn’t do the job for my hair. Needless to say I opted out of the color and just went with a cut. Cut was good, took over an hour to just trim but I was happy overall. After that I went to Armstrong McCall bought the color red I wanted and in one process my hair is back to red. Cool salon but I’d rather grow my hair out save money and do my own color.

I was excited to get an appointment with Mallory at this highly rated salon. I brought a magazine photo of an extremely short haircut, so was totally unprepared that she could not follow it! I have good hair, but not anymore. I left the salon in tears and will never go back.

First visit today, and Lindsey was great. I’m super picky when it comes to my hair, and have a paralyzing fear of walking out of there looking like a 41 year old suburban mom(which I am) with the dreaded«mom bob» in some boring color. Lindsey did not disappoint. I went in with some serious over-processed hair that needed to be chopped off after the past couple of years of my love/hate relationship with it… pink/purple/blonde/brown/red… in any case, it was time for a change, so off came the length, going from way past the shoulders to almost grazing the tops of them, a fun piecy very NON mom bob, in an all over fuchsia tinted dark purple. YAY. My good friend(who is a stylist) came with and got a haircut too. We were both highly impressed with the online booking, the salon itself, Lindsey and her sense of humor, the services we received, products available for purchase, and the pricing. I will definitely be coming back to her, and have already recommended her to two friends who have been asking about stylists in the area.

I scheduled with Mallory because of the reviews I had read, and so far I’m very satisfied! She met me at the check-in counter and welcomed me warmly. She also patiently listened to everything I had to say about what I wanted, which I’m sure was pretty confusing. I know that that should be reasonably expected from a hairdresser, but I’ve been everywhere from Great Clips to higher-end salons and I can still appreciate receptive customer service! They seem pretty efficient here with a high client volume. It’s obvious they have an established cWhile my hair was processing she did another client’s haircut but she took the time to make sure I was comfortable with magazines and(offered) coffee first.

The place is really cute, but I got a pretty terrible hair cut here and have not been back since. The prices are high for the level of service you receive. Would not recommend.

Just no. I like the idea of this place, it’s trendy and different. However upon entering I seen what I view as a rude/snarky sign about not bringing your children into the salon(I understand wanting to come get your hair done without screaming kids ext) The problem with this is? This place was full of children, whose you say? The owner/managers. I thought well that seems odd. I’m lead back to a room to have my hair done, and am sharing that with a child getting a hair cut as well, the two ladies had a great conversation while I sat there. I had the feeling I was in the way of their normal routine. My hair stylist was friendly, but despite being given photos of the hair I wanted(and have had in the past) the haircut wasn’t even close. This place is over rated, and the staff is not my cup of tea.

I was in desperate need of a hairstyle change, and when I couldn’t get in with my regular hair stylist, I remembered that I had a card from Lindsey at Trashy Roots. I called that day and was able to get an appointment with Lindsey that afternoon. I was greeted right away and was actually about ten minutes early for my appointment, but Lindsey saw me right away. I had hair that reached almost to the middle of my back and was wanting to go short. This was a drastic change for me and I was a little nervous having that much taken off. I told Lindsey what I was going for and she gave me her opinion and then she went to it. She didn’t just chop all of it off, she made sure that I was okay with it as she was cutting. She even offered to blow dry and then she if she needed to make additional adjustments. When she was done I loved the final result. It was a drastic change, but she was able to make it something that I fell in love with. I’ve always had long hair, so I wasn’t sure how I would feel about it, but I don’t think I’ll be going back to long hair any time soon. I definitely recommend Trashy Roots Salon, and definitely recommend Lindsey!

If you haven’t been to Trashy Roots yet, go now and make sure to ask for Lindsey! She has been coloring my hair for a few years and always does an amazing job. I usually walk in with a few ideas and she always know exactly what would look best on me. I recently had her completely change my look and I love it. I have received so many compliments on my new color! Super stylist.

I’ve been going to Lindsey at Trashy Roots for awhile now. She is a great stylist and always does a fantastic job with color, cut and extensions. She is very customer oriented and takes the time to understand what the client wants. I highly recommend this salon and Lindsey as a stylist. Thank you Trashy Roots for being such a fun eclectic salon experience!

I had the worst experience I have ever had at a hair salon, here. I had been going there for almost a year, and the haircuts were ok, not great, but ok. However last Friday I had an appointment at 2:00, when I arrived I was told my hairdresser(Lindsey) was running and hour behind. They said they called but I had neither email or phone message. After telling me that two different people were going to do my hair, my original hairdresser came out over an hour after I arrived. The first thing out of her mouth was how thin my hair was, I reminded her that I had cancer and was in treatment, and she said she didn’t see what difference that would make!!! ??? Then made a few more inappropriate comments about my doctor and chemo she started cutting my hair. When she was done she hustled me out of the chair without showing me the back of my head. ! Now I know why, it’s an uneven choppy mess. My haircut is so uneven I have to go to someone else to fix it. She actually missed spots in my bangs that I HAD to fix. I’m livid! I love the owner of this place she’s awesome, but the customer service and haircut I received are terrible. STAYAWAY! I’m out 35.00 and now have to shell out more money and lose more hair, just to be presentable. Very upset! 8÷25÷14 to her credit she called me, but I have only been able to text her thus far. She sounds truly sorry and people do make mistakes. we are human after all. Just make sure you communicate clearly. and it just may have been a bad day…

I went in for a regrowth touch up, they couldn’t do it. I was put under heat with bleach in my roots, and I was left in there too long, parts of my hair turned white and yellow. I was sent home like that, without any toner. Next day I went back so they can fix it and again they couldn’t. I was sent home with gray and greenish yellow hair. Please don’t go here, I went home and got in touch with my former stylist in New York which urged me to look for a stylist that doesn’t work with cheap hair coloring. If anyone loves their hair please do the same, look for someone that works with Matrix or Joico and that knows their color wheel. I ended up paying $ 80 for a messed up experience. I could’ve appreciated honesty, I wished they could’ve said«no, we can’t do your hair». I ended up going to this wonderful girl that loves doing hair, knows what she is doing and doesn’t work with cheap hair color. If anyone is interested her name is «Loretta Lynn» and she knows her color wheel very well, if anyone is looking for a color correction or any coloring work go to her!. She works in Salons by Jc in Round Rock. The picture below is how my hair looked after the second visit in Trashy Roots.

The worst haircut I have ever had at this place. I asked for a long bob and I even brought a couple of pictures to show her what I wanted… she said she could do it. I ended up with plain straight short hair cut and ugly layers on one side only. The bb I showed her didn’t have layers at all. And she cut the layers without asking me if I wanted layers. What pissed me off the most was that she totally f***ed up my hair with the ugly layers that were really short and only on one side. I would never recommend this place to anyone! Especially when your paying $ 40. I could have done a better job myself blindfolded!

Lyndsey was great. She did an a Amazing job on my hair. I have curly hair and it’s hard to manage. She gave me a great cut thAt I can wear both straight and curly. The color was great too. I felt confident with my hair in her hands. I’ve had a couple bad experiences to. So I’m very hesitant to let people touch my hair

Trashy Roots is amazing. I came in as a first timer, having used their super convenient online booking to snag a last minute appointment. I was early, but felt pretty comfortable in the little waiting area. Alex was a great stylist, suggested a great cut, and gave me *exactly* what I wanted. Also did a wonderful job of touching up my old colour. She made me feel extremely comfortable too, great at making a good conversation. Prices were really fair. I don’t often have the money to spend on a good haircut, but you can bet when I do, I’ll be back in her chair.

Lindsay is great! :) I’ve been going to TR to get my hair cut with her now for about 5 months now and I always leave feeling great about my hair. I have had different and drastic things done each time too(red colors, purple color, and then I chopped it all off!) and she always manages to make me look amazing. She’s super cool, laid back, and easy to talk to. I highly recommend this lady! The other stylists in the salon also look like they know what they’re doing and know their hair. I would trust my mop with any of them. Very professional and knowledgeable. They have great prices too, which is always helpful and doesn’t make you feel like you have to sell a kidney just to keep up with your hair style.

I was referred to this salon and worked with Lindsay. Her attitude left much to be desired. I showed her pictures and discussed that I came in for balayage highlights. Upon completion I told her that the color looked brassy and she informed me that the pink wall colors tended to cause that(note to Trashy Roots Salon– then why have hot pink walls?), I also pointed out that my roots didn’t look good as there was NO lightening for the first 3 inches… and her response was«thats not how its done.» Long story short I ended up with a hair color that looked like a bad brassy blonde dye job(remember Sun-In?) that had grown out for 6 months. I called to have it corrected and was informed that I would have to return to the same stylist for any corrections. Upon my return Lindsay had a terrible attitude and was less than pleased to fix it. She said I got exactly what I wanted and she should have had me «sign a color contract(insert the nastiest attitude and tone possible). She said that she was going to get the owner, and my response was«yes, please do!» She returned without the owner and informed me that if I wanted any lightening at the top, or add any lowlights(so my hair wasn’t one solid blob of color) it would be extra(although, had it been done right, neither of these things would be necessary). She did say she could tone it, but I was less than confident in her abilities– so I left. I would rather pay another stylist and have it look good, than let her destroy it any further. Note for people looking to try this salon out— the name«Trashy Roots» isn’t for nothing, and I should have known better. And note to the owner, if one of your stylists has a customer who left unhappy, isn’t it in your best interest to take a moment to talk to them and see how your salon can accomodate them? This is the worst experience that I have had with a stylist and a salon.
