This place is a great bang for your buck lunch spot ! Delicious sandwiches that are good size portions if your out in the area or willing to make the drive. I got the godfather sandwich which was very tasty my first visit and will definitely be back to try all the rest. The staff is super friendly and you can get a frequent visitor card that gives you a free sandwich after your 10th. Not bad considering the size and low cost.

I enjoyed this place. Sandwiches are my favorite meal and I like having unique options when I go places. The bread is pretty dry on the chicken sandwich that I got, I think maybe a different bread would do it justice. The bacon cookies, of course, were spot on. And my friend said that he loved his duck sandwich. The shop is nice. Everyone is very friendly and I really enjoyed my experience.

Awesome little lunch gem tucked away in Round Rock. The sandwiches here are out of this world good and very unique to say the least. They probably have the the best BLT I’ve ever had, each sandwich is piled on with half a pound of bacon so who could complain? My wife had the Venus D’Milo and that too was piled high with Parma style Prosciutto, with that much Prosciutto it was a bit on the salty side but still delicious. Their homemade chips that come with each sandwich are nothing less than crispy goodness. Service is great and the place is quaint and comfortable. Highly recommended overall.

On our way back to the airport we stopped here for lunch yesterday, I ordered the Pars, Texas and it was absolutely delicious. My coworkers also thought their sandwiches were amazing. Since I got the last Paris the others were bummed but they still enjoyed what they had ordered.

The sandwich fillings were delicious, but the bread they used almost ruined it. The bread was hard and kind of mealy and took away from the delightful stuffings inside. Loved the Asian saw, chips were a little salty for my taste, but that’s a super quick fix.

Yum, yum, yummers! Came for lunch on a Saturday and left with a full, happy belly. Walking in, there is a desk on the left which was a little weird. Other than that, everything was great. You order at the counter and they give you a number for your table. Our food was out within 5 minutes. I had the Blast which was basically a fancy BLT — delicious! I’m not normally crazy about chips but their homemade chips are perfection. My husband got the Godfather and swears it’s the best sandwich he’s even eaten. The manager brought over some«Devil’s Dust» which is a spicy spice mix. The husband loved it.

The cashier told us that the 3 most popular sandwiches are the Paris, Texas, Quaker, and the Big Bad Wolf. Since there were just two of us we got the first two. The Quaker is a tea smoked duck slathered with Hosin sauce and some Asian slaw. They put way too much Hosin on it and it was just way too greasy with the deep fried Roti shell and slaw. The slaw was yummy, but they used copious amounts of oil. The Paris, Texas confit of brisket with bbq sauce sandwiched between Texas toast was just ok. The meat was a little stringy and tough, but the bbq sauce was delicious. Overall the sandwiches here are creative and I would definitely come back if we’re ever in the area again, but I wouldn’t get the two we got this time around.

I’ve been here twice, and both times everything was delicious! Unfortunately both times they has run out of bollilo rolls, like an hour and a half before closing. Luckily their Chicken Maximus and Quacker are so delicious and don’t require their sandwich rolls!

Pretty yummy but I thought the Venus D’Milo(prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, roasted red pepper) would be better(based on the Unilocal pic). Our Ciabatta bread was a bit stale and I’ve had better Italian style sandwiches elsewhere. The Big Bad Wolf made up for the other sandwich(ham, bacon, roasted pork loin) and was warm and comfort food-like. The inside has a nice Texan feel and owner was friendly and accommodating. Service was pretty quick. I haven’t found many good sandwich shops in Northwest Austin yet, so this was a nice find(although sandwiches in San Fran, LA and the East Coast still win). Next time I’ll try the Fine Swine(fresh carved ham, melty brie, served warm). Each sandwich comes with a side — «dirty» chips or asian slaw. And kids eat free on Saturdays and Sundays.

Great little lunch spot! Excellent ingredients served quick and fresh. Generous helpings. Clean bright shop. Really just a nice place all the way around. My fine swine was more than I could eat in a single sitting. And was perfect. The chips are great as well.

Update: came back two days later and had the Quacker. It was awesome. I also tried the cookie with bacon on it. Not why but WHYNOT!!! This is one of the few places that I will keep come and ordering something different every time. Il say it again. If you fancy yourself a connoisseur of sandwiches then you are obligated to try this place.

Came for lunch here on a Monday afternoon. Ordered something I’m not making at home: 1) shrimp and salmon wrap with eggroll on the side — the hoisin sauce or w/e sauce it was went really well with the eggroll and I almost wished it had come with a sauce on the side specifically to dip it in. Seemed like it was missing! 2) my husband got the Godfather. he enjoyed it but I think he was disappointed in the rather small size of it. Meat was very tender. but cheese really didnt melt and seemed kinda rubbery. 3) the sandwiches came with an option of cole slaw(asian) or chips. we both had chips on the side. seemed homemade perhaps. pretty tasty. I enjoyed it. Kinda on the somewhat pricy side but like I said I’m not making this at home so I can see how it would be worth $ 10 for a sandwich

Great staff, and excellent sandwiches that are much better than your standard chain sub place. Only complaint are the hours, but understandable since it’s just a small locally owned business. I had the Paris, Texas which wasn’t as spicy as I had hoped, but still delicious. Wish I lived closer so I could go here more often.

Great little find in such an unassuming location in Round Rock! If you’re in the area for work or live in the area, I potentially see this place as a common lunch spot. Great atmosphere, wonderful sandwich choices. Inventive, but not too«out there», and you can tell the owner cares, he hires employees who care. Friendly people, great food and a comfy atmosphere! I would eat here often if I were in the area frequently.

I love supporting small local business and my honey goes here quite frequently for lunch as it is closeby to his job. Well, I finally got to sample the menu this past weekend and I can’t wait to go back! It is a small space and gets crowded on the weekends because kids eat free under the age of 12 I believe, with the purchase of an adult meal. The menu for them is limited, but free is free. They have a selection of fresh baked cookies just tempting you to eat them. So we caved and got a peanut butter chunk cookie with chocolate ganache bacon(WOW did this take the cake and I am slightly allergic to peanuts and I could not resist and took a small bite). I got a chocolate chip cookie with chocolate ganache and red pepper flakes, very very good as well but man… I wish I could have had more of the peanut butter cookie. As we were waiting for our sandwiches to come out, we had a discussion on if we should eat the cookie now… the owner was walking by and said eat the cookie! You never know what the future will hold. So who were we to turn down such good life advice. I got the quacker, which was very messy to eat but still good. I also got a side of the cole slaw and dumped it over the fried taco shell, it went well and cut some of the sweetness from the sauce. I also sprinkled liberally the devil’s dust on it, so so good… but it sure does creep up on you. All of a sudden, my lips went numb! We bought a little container of it, not cheap at $ 6.50 but a little sure does go a long way, they roast and grind the pepper into the spice in house so it is a long process but worth it for those that like all things spicy. My honey got the sandwich of the moment which was the Oh no you didn’t…mine was better, but his was still solid. Soft bread, pork belly, canadian bacon and french fries. Not very hard to go wrong with that combo. You can also get a punch card, so check it out if you haven’t already. They seem to already have a pretty loyal following.

Love this place. The owner is so cool and helpful. They have the best sandwiches there, their daily specials are always delicious creations and awesome cookie and cupcake creations too. You have to try the Devils Dust spice. It so awesomely hot. It will sneak up on ya! I love to go there for lunch and grab a quick sandwich. Now they are open on Saturdays and Sunday’s!

This place has been on my to do list for quite a while. Today I ventured out like a true blind squirrel in search of a nut. Or two. This place is small. It has like three or four chefs. And they are cooking upscale eclectic fusion in a scratch kitchen. I love scratch kitchens. Fresh is always best, and, when possible they’re bringing it from the farm to the table. And guess what parents. Kids eat free on weekends! One free with each adult order. Didn’t think you could take the whole clan for free did you? One for one, that’s the deal. They have some unique sandwich offerings for around 10 bucks and includes a side. I really couldn’t decide on what to order so I opted for the days special which was a Fish & Chips. Not the kind made famous by the Brits and the Irish, but instead, a potato chip encrusted piece of pollock fried and topped with bacon, red onion, romaine, tomato, charred hatch chile, and malt vinegar/green peppercorn aioli on bolillo bread. For my side I got the house made chips. My fish sandwich was pretty freaking good. I would have enjoyed it more with a little more bacon and red onion. Also, the bread would have been better if it had been slightly toasted. My house chips were nice and crisp, but, demanded some mustard for dipping. Overall, I was satisfied with the sandwich. I will point out that before I dug in Jack, the owner, came by and asked if I like spicy things. I was like«Yes sir. What you got in mind?» He brings me a small jar labeled«Devil Dust». He suggested that I put it on my sandwich and warned me of its kick. Please listen carefully fellers. I poured some of the Devil Dust into the palm of my hand so I could sample it before dumping it on my sandwich. For whatever reason I decided that I needed to see what it smelled like. Just as I positioned my nose over the mound of dust I got a hiccup! As you would guess I ended up snorting the Devil Dust. I will never touch it again. I saw these fresh cookies up by the register and two of them just screamed at me. I bought the Chocolate Chip and the Peanut Butter Bacon Chocolate Ganache. Jesus Mother Mary of God! That latter was simply all things crazy good delicious! Both cookies were good and the choco chip was chocked full of chips. But that peanut butter and bacon one almost had me locking myself in the bathroom for some private time. Just sayin’.

Yummy in my tummy. Every single time. I most recently had the«japoblano» sandwich which was tempura battered jalapeño and poblano peppers with cheese, greens, and a great sauce on warm soft flatbread. I’m drooling as I write this. Our son loves going to the«qur-al» restaurant and enjoys the grilled ham and cheese. My only suggestions are: offer some additional side dish choices, or offer sandwich ala carte without the sides for those who don’t want them. Another suggestion as a parent, is to offer a little more variety in the kids menu or half size options of some of the sandwiches for the kids and don’t force the cookie and juice box and other side items that I, for example, as a parent, won’t let my kids eat/drink. A la care would be much appreciated. Love this place.

First visit, well worth 5 Stars… honestly. I have had this place bookmarked for a while and finally decided to come in… and I am not sure why I waited so long. The ingredients are fresh, simple, and taste great together… purely refreshing from the hum-drumm routine of places to eat in the Round Rock area. I have eaten at a few other sandwich places around the area and this one ranks up there with the big named Food Network stops that are promoted. I came in and there were about 14 people dining. Some talking casually, some relaxing and hanging out, and others there for lunch like myself. I find this comfort welcoming. as no one was coming in and running out. the easy atmosphere allows for an easy relaxing meal. I ordered and easily ate the Chicken Maximus. It tasted as great as it looked online and in person. The arugula and spring mix with tomato relish was cool and refreshing as it coated your mouth with flavors. The chicken pieces were large and grilled very nice. I was provided two pitas filled with perfection and a side of coleslaw. The coleslaw was a nice sweet cabbage with a crunch and back-end taste of pepper. So it gave barely enough heat to cut through the sweetness. A very nice touch. Overall, I will come back and if my next choice will be good as the this one this time, then I foresee myself ordering the whole menu in the end. As a side note to my pleasurable experience, they were playing Zydeco music. I am from SETx/SWLa area and nothing gets me more comfortable than hearing family music and Zydeco accordions while I eat. It totally ejects the annoyance of top 40 restaurant pop that gets played elsewhere or the random radio station that was chosen for the day some other places use. Zydeco was where it was at today. As my mouth enjoyed the flavors, my feet tapped to the beats. The Blind Squirrel has made me see the light for great sandwiches in Round Rock.
