We have visited this place twice out of shear desperation and neither time did it impress us. Now I’ll remember it and stay far away from it. This last time I got the chicken enchiladas and I’m not really sure what was in my enchiladas but I’d be willing to bet it was not chicken. Needless to say, I did not finished it. We will not be back.

The food is mediocre at best, and the service is horrible. Every time I’ve went to this restaurant there’s only like 2 other people there, but yet the waitresses will completely ignore you. I’ve experienced nothing but rudeness every time I request for my food to be prepared vegetarian. It’s an act of congress to get someone to come back and fill up your glass. If you don’t speak Spanish then this place is definitely not for you because nobody speaks English. Also, as others has mentioned in their reviews, the vegetables are canned.

Sorry, Vasquez, but Arandinas is officially my favorite Mexican in the Austin area! Delicious salsas, free bean soup on lunch, creamy horchata, and the magical sweet, salty, and spicy torta hawaiiana. I want it all, all of the time. Everything is pretty damn delicious here, and the service is good. :)

Huge fan of their breakfast tacos! Definitely the best place for authentic food at low costs! Friendly service and down to earth atmosphere!

Worst breakfast tacos ever! Carne guisada was dry! I didn’t even eat it. Will never go again.

I LOVE taquerias for their cheap and good, authentic Mexican food! It’s a small restaurant but the service is pretty friendly and it has a warm atmosphere! Be warned though, you will leave with your clothes smelling like tacos! They always start you off with some chips and salsa and a nice and warm bean & cactus soup. I always get the horchata here as well. It’s pretty decent although a little watery. I love the al pastor torta as the pork is really juicy and tender! The bread is toasted on the outside and soft on the inside, filled with avocado, lettuce, tomato, and crema for a bomb torta! I also love the al pastor, Barbacoa, & lengua tacos topped with cilantro and onion! I’ve also tried the breakfast tacos here and the egg & chorizo is pretty good! The combo plates are a good deal as well.

Perfect. Just perfect. Affordable, comfortable ambiance and music, plentiful salsas and guacamole, and wonderful service. It’s the little things too, like ordering waters and getting massive goblets with like wedges on top. Our chip bowl never went empty, and we(2 adults who hasn’t eaten all day) left stuffed for under $ 15

I came here a while ago after my son had a football game near the High School. This restaurant is small but good enough and makes you feel like you’re really close to people who sit nearby. Luckily for us, there was one other small family around. The food was okay. I ordered a torta de carne asada which is pretty simple. I did like the price($ 4.99) and for four people it was around $ 26. Not bad. Their salsa for the chips was a bit watery and not too much to be desired. Once you are done ordering you have to go to the front where your ticket is located. Our waitress wasn’t that helpful and seemed as she was busy when there were only 2 families in there. So in closing, I will not be coming here again to eat. Nothing special about it.

Newest: Burnt eggs are a NO! I’m weird about eggs anyway but when the migas are more fried than scrambled and have that distinct burnt egg aroma, there is just NO saving the meal! The tortillas and sauces were good… However, please don’t pretend not to notice why the migas are virtually untouched. I still like their dinner/lunch menu but it’ll probably take some time to get me back into this place. I really wanted to love them :’-(3 stars averaging ALL my visits together although the latest makes me want to give them 1 star. Chile rellenos were a massive disappointment. Soggy, cheese not melted and the refried beans were bleh(pale and unappetizing splat on plate). Burrito cheesecake was still frozen in the center but pretty tasty(I am sure it’s exceptional when room temp or warm). Still love the salsa and the green one too. The 3rd bowl was sweet and weird flavor to me. So this place is definitely hit or miss. One lady provided excellent service while the other just didn’t care if I had water or whatever. Think I’ll stick to enchiladas next time.

We came here based on the Unilocal reviews and it didn’t disappoint! Three adults and three kids all ate for $ 37. Great prices and great Mexican food.

Beans tasted«watered» down, salsa in chilaquiles was very thin, menu says rice and beans included with meal after 11am, however we had to pay extra for rice. Thumbs down. The quest for authentic Mexican cuisine continues…

I give this place a 3 based on food and service. Average service– not great and not horrible. I had the enchiladas. They were average– not amazing, not horrible. My friend had the Al Pastor and the Tripe tacos. The Al Pastor was good, the tripe was too crispy. Overall, average. Which is why they get an average review.

Wonderful food. Not a fancy restaurant, but everything was great. Much better than your average restaurant. The employees were very nice. The only changes I would do would be to move to a larger, nicer place and raise the prices. Haha.

My husband and I are new to Austin and trying to find some good new restaurants to add to our«favorites» list. Overall this place was pretty decent — I think we were the only native English speakers in the restaurant which is usually a good sign. We really enjoyed the chips and salsa that we started with. We didn’t care much for the other two sauces that came with it. We were in the mood for enchiladas. I ordered the enchiladas Suiza and my husband ordered the enchiladas con carne with cheese. Both were tasty as well as the beans and rice that came with them. The check was not delivered to the table so we instead had to pay at the register where they had the check hanging. Based on this experience I think we will return to try something else on the menu!

This place is a bit plain, but I really like how they decorate for different holidays. It brings a nice homey touch. The service has always been great here, nice ladies that do right by me by indulging my «extra sour cream» request with the most magnificent bowl of sour cream ever. Always on top of getting you more water, chips, salsa, or whatever you need. Now, for the Mexican food. I am so obsessed with these quesadillas, especially the veggie one. Just wow. I mean, really cheese + tortilla + meat/veggies is usually a great combo and defines almost all tex-mex, but they do it better than anyone. I don’t even care that it’s terrible for me at all. I just love it. With my extra ridiculous bowl of sour cream and guacamole, I’m set. Oh, and the table salsas are great. Please, next time you even think of going to taco bell/cabana/you know, just try this place out. Which brings me to the best part: open until midnight in round rock! This is what brought this night-owl in, and will probably keep me coming back. Also!!! it is so cheap with such big portions your mind might explode. The only reason Taquerias Arandinas doesn’t get 5 stars for me is consistency. Some dishes(like the enchiladas) aren’t super amazing, but the breakfast is really good. Just a little confusing.

Was excited getting our first takeout order because this place has a cozy and authentic feel. We ordered breakfast tacos, migas and huevos rancheros. The migas had a tremendous amount of queso so much that it made them inedible. The other items were just okay.

Went with the family based on a recommendation. I ordered the Carne Asada and my wife had the Al Pastor street tacos. The atmosphere is cluttered but friendly. It has a more authentic mexican feel for being in a shopping center. Not great but not bad. Kid friendly and easy going. Service was ok friendly and attentive. The food was great. Three salsas and charro beans to go with chips to start and complimentry. The napolitos were good. Excellent tortillas both corn and flower. The plates had giant Grilled jalapenos and picked peppers. The carne Asada came with a grilled onion bulb. It also had great flavor. Everything was great. I am happy to find this place.

You know what? I am a damn FOOL for not trying this place much sooner. Taquerias Arandinas has been on my radar for about 2 years. I always figured it was one of those«take-out» type of places, so I just never got around to trying the place. Today, my husband mentioned that he was craving flautas, so I did a Unilocal search for a new place to try, and TA popped up. I checked to see if they had seating and a decent menu, and it appeared that they did, so off we went. When we walked in, we were pleasantly surprised. It’s a small restaurant, but nicely decorated, and very authentic looking. We were seated, and the servers all spoke Spanish,(but understood English), so that’s always a good sign.(I’m convinced that you get the best Mexican food from places that have Spanish speaking servers, and Mexicans working in the kitchen.) She brought out chips and 3 salsas/sauces, and the barracho beans. All were very, very tasty, but I was absolutely in love with the spicy green dona sauce. Mmmm, I could have happily sat there and ate chips and green sauce all day. My man decided on some tortilla soup, and the flautas plate. I went with the chicken chilaquiles and a chicken crispy taco. Holy crap, the tortilla soup was monstrous in size… poor hubby thought he was getting a small cup, and instead it was a huge bowl! There was so much food on our plates, and it looked amazing. They used white cheese, which is such a plus in my book. I got my chilaquiles with verde sauce on them, and they were great. The crispy taco was exactly as advertised — crispy, seasoned well, and wonderful. The refried beans on my plate had a wonderful pork flavor to them. All around, what a great meal! Honestly, this is the best Mexican food I’ve had in the Austin/Round Rock area since I moved here 3 years ago. I truly regret not stopping by here years ago, but I’ll make up for it. We’re already talking about coming back here sometime in the upcoming week. So good! And only $ 25 for the insane amount of food that we got! :)
