Our Neighborhood has gone down hill and PS properties does nothing but fine people that have trash cans hidden behind bushes. We have people that have storage units in the middle of the street, tin foil on windows, and big trucks in the street and they don’t do anything to them. This property management company is a joke.

As the HOA president for our Neighborhood, I can without a doubt say that Ricky Zilem from PS Property Management has worked with the board diligently to help manage and increase our financial goals throughout the years. I can also say that Ricky provides one and one interaction with our Board members at every Board member meeting. It is because of his personal attention to our neighborhood needs and concerns that makes PS property an asset to our community. Ricky understands the issues, details and challenges that our neighborhood faces. He also helps us facilitate with future improvements that our neighborhood wishes for. Phyllis is downright unprofessional and unreliable. Both horrible traits to have on a property management company. Actions needed to be completed are those completed by those on the board, not from leg work on the property management side. She does not return phone calls, or emails which question the integrity as a whole of this company. Rather than completing requested action items, there are always excuses and illegitimate ones at that. If you are looking to hire this company as your property management company — don’t. Do a little more research and find yourself a more reputable company.

Rick Zilem of PS Property Management is an inept, lazy, obtuse blockhead. It was very frustrating for the board of directors trying to get him to do his job as manager of our HOA. It was a year of wasted time and money trying to get them to provide the service they had promised. Anything that was accomplished was because the board members did it themselves– from finding contractors to meeting vendors on the property and dealing with homeowner concerns. Even when we discussed the issues with Phyllis Starr, she did not even attempt to provide better service to us. She seemed to turn a blind eye to her son’s incompetence even to the detriment of her business.

These guys are great. They have managed our condo association for 3 years now and all the residents have really appreciated the extra personal efforts of Phyllis and her management team. I love how you can call and actually talk to a live person every time when you have a concern or question. If you are a HOA or condo association board member, I recommend checking them out. Personal touch is a rare commodity these days and the folks at PS Property make it their business to serve with this in mind.

We hired Ricky Zilem from PS Property Management Company, Inc. after months of searching for a property management company with reasonable rates and a common sense approach to property management. He’s been at our every beck and call and is much more than we could have asked for from any property manager. He helped us establish payment plans with HOA members that fell behind on their payments, negotiated contracts to get us better landscaping for a fraction of the cost, had our gates repaired in no time, kept our neighborhood’s trash disposal costs in check during contract renewal, worked with contractors to get our retention ponds back in compliance with city ordinances and has effectively reduced our property management costs while greatly enhancing our neighborhood. Prior to hiring him we went through two other property management companies that were not only more expensive, but less efficient. PS Property Management Company prides itself on being a trustworthy and reliable property management company. This means they handle the day to day activities and only involve the board when it’s necessary. With our other management companies they were slow to respond, charged us fees for everything and left most of the day to day management activities to us. If you’re an overburdened board, I can promise you if you hire PS Property Management your workload will reduce tenfold. Leave the management up to them and the neighborhood vision to the board. I’ll end by saying if you’re looking for the best property management company in Austin and the surrounding areas look no further. We love PS Property Management Company and are confident our neighborhood wouldn’t be the same without them.
