Have been a patient of Dr. Oliver since 2000. Recently he moved to Scott & White, so far so good. He has a great understanding of diabetes issues. Polite and professional staff. Good MD for me and my family.

I have been a patient of Dr. Oliver for roughly 10 years. Recently, he moved his practice and joined up with Scott and White. Since then, things have changed. My company has a high deductible insurance plan, so I have to pay for my yearly office visit up to the point where I hit my deductible. Typically before the S&W merger, I was paying around $ 120 for a visit. I went in about a month ago, and received a bill a couple of weeks later for $ 128.00. Figuring this was about right, I thought nothing of it. Today, I grabbed the bill and called in to make the payment. S&W’s billing department alerted me that I now owed over $ 200, since they added a $ 70-something dollar change for a «facility use fee.» Over $ 200(roughly $ 80 – 90 more), and I got the same service. Vitals, and a perscription for my asthma for the year. S&W will never get another dollar from me.

The people in Dr. Oliver’s office are great. I was having issues with my insurance but needed to be seen fast because I was running out of my medication and they worked with me and my insurance to make sure I was seen and they were very pleasant about it. I haven’t seen Dr. Oliver but his nurse practitioner is wonderful and the office staff are great. I have been into the office twice now(once with my husband and once for myself) and they have consistently seemed very caring. They also draw blood for lab work right there in the office so it is very convenient! They work with you to combine issues into one appointment to minimize cost to you and quickly give you prescriptions and referrals to meet your needs. I am very pleased and would highly recommend them.

Folks, I would steer clear of this place. Not only is the staff the most uncaring and rude bunch of people I’ve ever encountered in a medical facility, their billing practices are VERY shady. If you comment that the weather is nice, you’ll get billed for that. Paul Oliver just bills you for whatever he is in the mood for that day. If you’re going to spend good money on a doctor, find a professional outfit that cares about the quality of healthcare, and not just how much money they can extort out of you.

I love these people. I see Holly now(the NP), and she is so sweet. She’s really down to earth and chats with you for a bit before the official stuff starts. See y’all Friday!

I have been coming here for 5 years, I loved the NP Holly Kahle, she was one of the best NP I’ve ever seen, so I was extremely disappointed that she left and that no one bothered to let me know, so while sick I had to see someone I didn’t know! That being said, I still love this place. It’s not fancy, so if that bothers you pass it by! However I can get in the same day when I’m sick, I’ve rarely had to wait longer than 5 minutes. The doctor takes his time and I do not feel rushed. So far I’ve trusted his care. I will update on the new NP when I get to know her as well. The front desk is great at helping me with billing and insurance! I do have a major complaint, the rotating nursing staff is not good. They change so often and all seem to have a poor attitude! I refuse to get blood work here after a lady dug around in my arm and I ended up going to a lab. I wish they had a quality nursing staff! They need an RN, one who is going to stay and at least offer a smile!
