Thank you JcPennys for nothing. Had me get my family dressed and out in the cold rain to take family pictures only to have a bullshit session. Took them less than 10min to shoot the pictures and you could see the poor quality in the pictures. Damn baby wasn’t looking in most of the pictures. The lady in our session was rushing because she was ready to «go home». Our session was scheduled for 4pm they started shooting @ 415ish and we were done by 4:25pm. Terrible customer service, rush job and careless.

Take snacks. This whole«family photo» thing is not for the faint hearted. The photos were good, Robert did a great job. Our photos were a 5 star but the experience was a 2. They are only allowed something ridiculous like 15 min/appt. So if you plan to get holiday card photos do it in October when no one is thinking Christmas yet. Go on a weeknight. We went on a Saturday in November with an appt and had to wait almost 2 hours. Yes. It’s no one’s fault, 15 min appt allotments are not doable esp if there are kids involved. Their photo editing software is pretty terrible. I mention this because you need to add 30 – 60 min post appointment to choose your shots and edit them if you choose to. Look for coupons. I had a free sitting fee, 9.99/sheet + digital copies of 3 shots(which I used to design our own holiday cards).

I’m very happy with the superior service and attention we received today. My son was grouchy and hungry and Robert managed to turn my son’s frown around and had him laughing and smiling. Highly recommended for family and children photos! The photographer Robert was so friendly and great with kids. Almost all our photos were perfect which made choosing them really hard. Luckily you’re not rushed thru it. Pricing is affordable and we purchased a disc of our photos to share online with family.

Everything went pretty well. Expect to wait(even with an appointment). People complain about feeling rushed, then complain about the wait. Everyone there deserves time to make sure their picture looks good! Highly recommend Robert. Like the previous person said, find coupons online. It’s pretty pricy without them. Leave bad/rushed attitudes at the door. Bring smiles instead :)

I read one of the previous reviews and I have to admit… I was nervous. One of the previous reviewers pointed fingers at Lisa as being downright awful. Thankfully we didn’t get the chance to experience her first hand. We ended up going in on a quiet Monday and the manager(whose name was Robert… I believe) was our photographer. We were getting pictures done for our 1 year old daughter and he gave a really good effort at trying to get her to smile. He had props, made noises, did everything he could to get her to crack one. Unfortunately, it didn’t really work. She was out if her element and didn’t know what was going on so there were lots of tears but no full melt down. We had 1 or 2 photos that were perfect but we do intend on going back in hopes we’ll have better luck getting smiles. Go online and find a coupon before going in to save some money on photo packages.

Do NOT use JCP portrait studio because you might end up with the«photographer» named Lisa. She is rude and unprofessional. She does not interact with the clients. We have had her twice as a photographer(2010-bad experience, and had to return for family pics in 2013& regrettably ended up with Lisa again!) She does not know how to keep a child’s attention, or make children of different ages smile. She does not interact with the adults either. Pictures will turn out much much better if people are having fun, but when the«photographer» doesn’t even smile and has a bad attitude, then no one is having fun and the pictures show that. Her attitude is such that she hates her job. She reprimanded me for bringing props, but it is good that I did because she did not get any out. She did not help the children in our group. She did not offer any ideas for getting the kids together for sibling shots. Her sales techniques are awful as well, and she just tells you to buy the CD so you can go home and fix the pictures yourself. But you cannot photo-shop out scared or upset faces on the kids. The appointments are about 10 minutes long. Even after I was told on the phone that my family would be accommodated with a longer appointment, I was reminded by Lisa several times that we only had 10 minutes, which creates a sensation of being rushed. It is simply a factory type set up and Lisa is there to move you through the assembly line. She is not creative, artistic, happy, helpful, or even nice. There is NO Air Conditioning! Not in 2010 and not in 2013. The pricing is a mystery. Lisa did not know how much anything costs. There is no itemized receipt, either on the computer as you are trying to put your package together, or at the end of the session. Please go somewhere else.

I have a 7 month old happy baby firl. I was so excited about having her pictures done. I scheduled the appointment and was there and ready to go on time. The girl that was the photographer was very sweet, but also very inexperienced. There was only one picture that had a partial smile. The manager however who was experienced sat on the computer durng the whole session not offering any advice or guidence to the photographer. After we saw that there were no good pictures, she offered for him to do a re-shoot once he finished the session he was involved in. So we waited. Once finished i saw her ask him do re-shoot and at 12:30 he said no because there was another shoot scheduled at 1:00. I was only in the first session for 15 minutes! How could he not give me even 10 minutes to get some pictures. It is not easy to get a baby there between naps and meals and in a good mood, but I will try it again at a different studio. I was very disappointed and will not be back there.
