Gyro’s Cafe

the stars are for the gyro only. warm squishy pita and lots of tzatziki sauce (i asked for a pile-​on). solid, under $ 5 and so very close to dell.

We ordered Gyro’s and taboli. The pita was dry and not enough cucumber sauce (which would have helped the dryness). Everyone there, including the owner, acted like they would have rather been somewhere else. The taboli was good, but dry. Don’t think we will go a second time.

I hate to get in a review argument here but this place is WAY cheaper then Zorba’s! Last time I went to Zorba’s with my wife it was 17 dollars… today at Gyro’s Café it was 13 dollars.
Its also a LOT better. Quality of food, friendliness of staff, value, etc.
I had the Chicken Gyro sandwich and it was delicious. On my last bite I felt a little a little sad because I wanted to keep eating it. This place is excellent.
I’m glad I didn’t consult Unilocal before deciding to eat here because based on Catherine’s review I would have probably skipped. What would my life be like without Gyro’s Café as a quick lunch destination?
I don’t even want to think about it…

We were debating all day in this café about the correct pronunciation of gyro. My peers and I like Zorba and decided to give this place a try since it is newly opened. This review will solely a comparison between the 2 places.
The setup is like a deli shop where you line up in front of the counter and choose your order. Choices on the menu are rather limited, it has gyro sandwiches, the plate, salad and so on but they are nothing compared to what Zorba has. I had falafel vege sandwich (it’s not bad at all) while they had gyro (HUGE!) or the meat plate. The plate price is a little more expensive than Zorba’s plate combo.
Weird thing is they sell ice cream there. I am not sure if they are homemade or not because I didn’t try them. It’s just a weird combination to have that at the gyro place.
