Nothing fancy about this spot. It is a small stand along side the road just before you get into Hutto. Local produce is seasonal, otherwise, they out source to California. Why not just go to HEB you may ask. Well, because at HEB you won’t find the three food trucks that were parked here, nor, will you find local honey from Georgetown(which I like better than the Round Rock Honey) or canned pickles, jams, preserves and such from Molly. I got some Honey and Cranberry Sauce. Can’t wait to dig in. The guy who runs this place is very friendly and gave me a free sample of the Honey. He said he is gonna try to get some Honey with the Comb in the near future. Looking forward to that! When times are good they grow their produce out back and also sell produce from local farmers. Go local!

My friend and I stopped at Eli’s which is located right next to Sweet n Cheezy, which was closed. Boo. However, the trip was not a loss considering what we found here. They have the biggest and most beautiful produce I’ve seen in a long time. I mean this place beats many farmers markets, hands down. I picked up a huge yellow watermelon, canary melon, and a jar of fig preserves. They have a huge selection of produce which included(today) peaches, huge tomatoes, zucchini, cucumbers, pineapples, carrots, cabbage, and so much more. They also have locally sourced honey, a huge selection of preserves, and a variety of different pickles. This place is a must for a great selection of seasonal produce. It’s conveniently located on Hwy 79, but can easily be missed when someone is tailing you going 55 mph, so drive carefully!

I’ve shopped here during the spring and summer for a couple of years. It’s hard to beat their superfresh produce that’s already ripened and ready to eat without having to leave it on the counter for a day or two. They also carry green tomatoes for frying, honey from Georgetown, and fresh eggs with their seasonal produce. Love this place, the people are nice, friendly, and most seem committed to organic gardening. The location is convenient too, being just east of Redbud on Hwy 79.

We have been going to Eli’s since he opened and he has the best fruit, veggies and more for a cheap price!

Picked up some free range eggs today, had some great looking produce but we were more focused in on the three food trailers parked here.

Just east of the Dell Diamond on the way to Round Rock from Hutto resides an unpaved lot anchored by a farm to market produce stand, souvenir and gift shops, and a pair of food trailers. It’s not Fredericksburg or Wimberely but it does have a small scale off the beaten path shopping destination feel. And you can enjoy a meal and dessert from Sweet-N-Cheezy while you sift through local produce, crafts, and firewood. It’s not a place to spend the day but it’s worth a stop and see.
