Centco A/C and Heat

Dan was on time and fixed the problem quickly. He charged approximately $ 100 to recharge the freon and fix a leak.

If I could give this company less than 1 star I would. My home warranty company assigned my claim this company. The experience started off good enough, received a voicemail from Dan and called him back, he stated he would be in my area on Saturday and we set appointment from 10:00am-12:00pm. Saturday comes and I had rearranged some stuff to make sure I was home during the time and had my phone by me the entire time. 12:00pm rolls around with no one showing up and no one calling. So I called and leave a message stating that we had an appointment and no one had showed up or called and that I will be home until 1:30pm but then I need to leave and asked to have someone call me back to reschedule. I was upset BUT I understand things happen. Never received a call back so I call back on Tuesday morning and talked to Dan, he immediately got defensive, I was not upset yet and being very pleasant. To which he says you never answered we called, I asked him to tell me what number he called and when. He says I see two missed calls and I said I checked my phone and I didn’t have any calls, then he blamed technology saying that 50% of the people he calls can’t hear him… what? I asked him what time they called me on Saturday because I had my phone with me the entire time, to which he says I didn’t say it was on Saturday, come to find out it was when he originally called me to set the appointment. Then he starts telling me they have been trying to get someone to my address but don’t have a good number and have tried calling multiple numbers, he then lists off some random numbers which I have no idea who they are for. He then lets me know that he sent the workorder back to my home warranty so that someone else could help. When I mention he called me on my cell to book the appointment and that when I left a voicemail I left my cell, he said I need to get with my warranty company to find out why they have incorrect numbers (I called them and they confirmed the only number that was sent on the work order was my cell phone). I asked why he was upset at me and getting angry with me and he just continued to yell, at that point I told him there was no longer a need to continue this conversation that I would call my home warranty company and have someone else come out. They have now put a note on my account to never send this company to my house for any future needs.
I understand that the unexpected can happen but the customer service and the way they treated me after missing an appointment is the reason I will never do business or recommend this company to anyone!

This is a small company. No issue with that. They know hvac and that’s what counts. Appreciate their services

Today is the second time that Centco comes and saves the day! Twice already we have been told by highly recommended by Angie’s list HVAC specialists that our HVAC needed replacing and twice has Centco come to our home to fix the problem.
First time they came sent by our insurance and the second time we call them directly.
Polite, professional and cost appropriate.
Next time the HVAC fails I am calling them again.

ORHP uses this company as a contractor, and they are just as shady as them. We had called a claim in and this guy, Dan (?), calls us back. We make an appointment, he doesn’t call or show. When WE called HIM to reschedule, he didn’t want to drive 18 miles to my house and tried to force an appointment on me «when he was in town anyways», and finally, after my husband talked to him, accommodated a day and time that worked for us.
He came to our house, didn’t have any tools or even a ladder on his truck. How can you do AC repairs and not even have a ladder? We give him our ladder to get into the attic (wouldn’t that be a reliability concern to begin with?), and he briefly looks at the unit and says that we need general maintenance (not covered) and have a crack in our primary drain pan. He continues to say that he will call a claim in on our behalf, order the part, and come back to install it. Sounds reasonable. So he leaves, and as I take a closer look at the «invoice» he left behind, I see that he notated «found dirty evap coils, found primary drain pan cracked, suggest cleaning ($ 225) and installation of safety switch ($ 175). We did not talk about the safety switch for one second; he stated that he would get the drain pan ordered and repaired, not a switch installed that will shut the unit off when the secondary drain pipe is full. We wouldn’t need that if the repair would be done properly. Oh well … Two weeks pass, nothing happens. Three weeks pass, nothing happens (can you tell we are patient people …). We finally call the guy, he doesn’t answer or return our call.
We finally called ORHP and the rep tells me «that the contractor had recommended to deny our claim (!) because the primary drain pipe was cracked for at least a year and since they don’t normally crack, someone must have broken it». Say what???
Long story short, DO NOT, under no circumstances, have CENTCO come to your house. It’s a rip off, they are unprofessional, show up without the necessary tools, and their only purpose seems to be to save ORHP money by making sure they can deny claims.

This company isn’t worthy of 1 star! My home warranty company assigned my claim this horrible company. I had to make the first phone call, and every call after that. Dan sent some guy that didn’t know what was wrong with the system. It took the guy over an hour of walking inside and outside and he finally guessed what was wrong. I never received a call back. After I called for 3 days in a row I received some BS that they couldn’t get back to my house until the weekend (over 1 week after the first visit). I called my home warranty and filed a complaint with them and they sent over another company (TempRite– much better). They figured out the problem within in 15 minutes. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY!

I believe this company to be a two-​man show.
Brother Dan handles calls and scheduling. Other brother does the service.
They contract with my home warranty company (Old Republic. Save your money, what a waste)
Centco charged about $ 400 in extras home warranty didn’t cover (disposal of old unit and other misc add-​ons) and I now realize never gave me the work order showing parts and model numbers of what was installed.
How do you think I realized this?
Yep. 6 months to the day later my house is 80 degrees inside and not blowing cold. They did replace the compressor and evap coil. Basically a new A/​C unit to my understanding. If only.
If you appreciate prompt return calls, a cooled home and minimal run around, call someplace else.

Horrible customer service over the phone. Rude, never calls back, Just horrible business.
Used this company through a home warranty program. Technician came out and was a nice guy but seemed a bit rushed to go finish another job. This was on a Friday and said they would get everything approved and call on Monday. Said the problem was ants??? No call. We called and no answer and this guys voice mail is always full.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
