I was very impressed with Dr. Gage. He saw my daughter for chest pains. He took it serious and talked with my daughter. He did thorough testing to rule out any heart issues for teenagers. In our case, her issue turned out to be stress related and I am grateful for the care and concern he showd us. His office and staff were easy to work with and explained things to us. I would highly recommend this practice.

Most recently I had and un-​diagnosed event and condition that required immediate Emergency Open Heart Surgery. During this process one of the key factors to my survival was the superior technical knowledge and triage abilities of Doctor Paolo V. Venegoni, MD, F.A.C.C.
Doctor Venegoni was able to understand the issue from his experience and coordinate the resources in a very short time to enable the emergency surgery to occur. It may seem weird, but hospitals do NOT keep all the specialized equipment on «stand by» like you see in movies or TV. He reportedly called ahead, activated the pagers of those on call, and performed many unseen actions to make sure it was ready when he arrived.
Doctor Venegoni has a straight forward bedside manner where he does not «fluff» it up, I appreciate that. He is fluent in Italian, Spanish, and English. Naturally he is Italian. Being that I lived in Europe for many years I appreciate the straight forward approach. Some of my friends/​family were offset by it, but that is just because (in my opinion) some American styled doctors tend to make it «soft» and gentle for patients. Granted Doctor Venegoni is NOT harsh, but he just stays with the subject and tells you like it is in a professional manner.
In life or death situations, THAT is what I want… straight forward information that we can use and process. No «grey» areas to be concerned about.
After the surgery I required many special medications and his office allows great follow ups and communication. Many things can be done on site at his office: Coumadin checks, EKG’s, Echo Cardio Grams, etc.
Do I recommend them? Uhh, YEAH. I am able to sit here and type a *Yelp about it because of them. So whatever your heart may need, go see Doctor Venegoni or any of the other heart doctors at the Cardiovascular Specialists of Texas.
